Damien Cole is a well-known environmentalist, public speaker, and community leader. He is the National Campaign Director for Surfrider Foundation and led paddle-out protests across Australia in the Fight for The Bight campaign in early 2019 which saw the activation of 56 additional local communities paddling out at their local beaches in opposition to oil drilling in the Great Australian Bight. Damien is also co-founder of Varuna Surf, a sustainable wooden surfboard company on a mission to redefine the world of sustainable surfing. Varuna boards are designed by iconic shapers and made responsibly in Indonesia. Jo's career has spanned far and wide across the hairdressing industry. Starting as a hairdresser, Jo progressed into a state education role with Redken and then progressed to National Education Manager, moving from Melbourne to Sydney. Her career with Redken progressed to the National Sales Manager role. Post Redken, her career took a different direction managing a NSW wholesaler hairdressing business then joined Wella Australia as the General Manager of the Kadus Cosmetics brand. With the purchase of Delva by Wella Jo regained a new position of National Sales and Marketing Manager foor the Delva/Kadus division. Progressing in the Wella family, Jo became National Marketing Manager for the Wella FMCG division and then her remaining time at Wella was spent as National Marketing Manager Wella Professional.Jo created her own consulting business post Wella, consulting in the print, beauty and hair industries. Lecturing at university also became her passion. An opportunity to consult for De Lorenzo as their National Marketing Manager was a six month contract and INSTYLE contacted Jo to run their business. In 2020, INSTYLE was bought by the Intermedia Group and the rest is history with her new role in the organisation starting in June 2001. Jo has been part of the team that developed and expanded the INSTYLE portfolio into a digital magazine, launched Styleicons, Styleicons Education (no longer available), Estetica magazine (distributor only, no longer available) social media campaigns and then Hair Festival. What's next for Jo? Who knows!
Terri Williams started working at Tower owned Central Valley Record Racks in 1975 at 15 years old. In 1978 when she talked about going to College, Russ Solomon told her “Stick with us, kid. I'll make you a star!” Terri was hired by Chris Hopson in the newly formed Tower Advertising Department. For the next 32 years she helped Chris Hopson and Tower Records establish a first rate Advertising Department. In 1982 Terri became the New York City Regional Marketing Manager, working to help establish Tower 4th & Broadway a full year before the store opened. Terri then went on to open up the whole Eastern corridor (Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC and many more New York City stores). Following Terri's work on the East Coast she was promoted to National Marketing Manager and then Vice President of Marketing.
