There are a couple of anomalies. Fireblood feature twice due to the band releasing 2 EP's in a year and Atomic Hand is actually a two band project Iglesia Atomica and Out Of Hand. Unusually one band plays psych jams the other brutal deathgrind. Ricky Kasso, aka The Acid Kingwas a troubled teenager, who had a rough childhood, and got into drugs. Big time. This story takes place n Northport, on Long Island, NY in 1984. It was a case that fueled the Satanic Panic because he ran with a group of kids who used Satan as a way to scare people. Although Ricky in his drug riddled mind thought Satan was talking to him. A friend of his stole some drugs from him, and he and another friend lured him into the woods, and brutally murdered him. The media, all too eager to capitalize on the Satanic Panic lumped heavy metal, and anyone who listened to it in with the blame for the case. He was a teenager from Northport, New York, who became infamous for killing his friend Gary Lauwers in 1984. Kasso, who was also known as the Acid King, was involved in drugs and was believed to be involved with Satanic activities. He stabbed Lauwers multiple times in the woods and left his body there for two weeks. Kasso confessed to the murder but hanged himself in jail before his trial. Kasso accused Lauwers of stealing some of his drugs and attacked him with a knife. A pop culture wunderkind, Ivers was many things at once: an all-star harmonica player who played alongside Little Walter, a pal of Van Dyke Parks who opened for Fleetwood Mac, and a songwriter who wrote music for David Lynch's Eraserhead and artists like Diana Ross and The Pointer Sisters. In the early '80s, he found found notoriety as host of New Wave Theatre, which showcased Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, 45 Grave and the Angry Samoans. Peter and the Acid King explores that epochal cultural era and its violent end. Working with investigator and co-creator Alan Sacks, Spheeris narrates with 10-part series, which is just about to finish its run, with world weary charm and sly understatement, as well as her signature attitude.
