A lot of drugs have to be kept at strict temperatures to remain effective. But how challenging is it to assure proper conditions as drugs move through our supply chains? Our guest offers his expertise on how to assure the safety of important drugs while transiting summer heat.Incidents of cargo theft are on the rise. One of the most recent pieces of evidence is a report from supply chain visibility and risk analysis firm Overhaul. The company's United States Q2-2025 Cargo Theft Report found that cargo theft rose 33% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2025. That continues a steady climb in such incidents over the past few years. And they expect thefts to increase in the coming months of peak season.According to the management consulting firm Kearney, the global food system is breaking away from traditional operating models as companies are struggling to protect their operating margins. Rising costs of food production are having major impacts on the food supply chain. Several hundred state leaders in agriculture and manufacturing gathered in Kearney today/Thursday to discuss how to develop Nebraska's economy. Gov. Jim Pillen touted the potential for Nebraska to grow its bioeconomy through investments in ethanol, sustainable aviation fuel and plastic products made from corn. Thursday morning, Husker football head coach Matt Rhule addressed the summit with a message about dreaming big. The governor said he's dreaming big too.

Open-plan classrooms will soon be a thing of the past, according to a new directive from the Government. Education Minister Erica Stanford's announced plans to build all new classrooms with standardised designs. Rangiora High School's already spent one and a half million dollars removing its open-plan style classes. Principal Bruce Kearney says it ended up being distracting. "They tend to be noisier, but it was also the combination of 60 kids, two teachers - the whole deal, really. It didn't really work out for us." Galway under-16 joint managers Paul Jordan and Eugene Kearney have made two changes for their All-Ireland B Final against Armagh on Wednesday (16th July).  Caherlistrane's Ciara O'Neill is named at corner back, while Dunmore MacHale's Eva Daly plays corner forward. The Tribesgirls were 4-10 to 3-9 victors over Westmeath in the semi-final, and are looking to achieve national success in the 'B' competition for the first time. Armagh won the All-Ireland B crown in 2024, and in a repeat of that fixture, beat Waterford 2-14 to 1-5 to get back into the final. However, prosecutor Hank Brennan revealed that Loughran may have been targeted and influenced by controversial blogger Aidan "Turtleboy" Kearney, who has been charged with witness intimidation in this very case. The prosecution systematically dismantled Loughran's credibility, highlighting his close ties to the Albert family - he previously worked for Chris Albert, brother of homeowner Brian Albert - and his brother serves on the Canton board of selectmen with Chris Albert. These connections raise serious questions about potential bias and loyalty within Canton's tight-knit community.
