Welcome to ITS FOOTBALL DAY, a podcast where two lads give their unfiltered opinions on the game of football. So last week you couldn't back the early kick off, this week, you can't back any game because VAR just want to stir the pot. Terrible decisions going against Brighton, Arsenal and Wolves leave football fans across the country in disbelief and serious questions are asked of the officials. Other than that, we have been treated with some incredible football this week, City and Arsenal battled and City prevailed, PSG and Bayern clashed and Man United fought hard against Barcalona, what a week.Hopefully this week proves to be just as entertaining with Spurs v West Ham, Leicester v United and Villa v Arsenal.Enjoy as always!Socials; TWITTER; https://www.instagram.com/itsfootballday_ INSTAGRAM; https://www.instagram.com/itsfootballday_/ FACEBOOK; https://www.facebook.com/ItsFootballDayXI/ LINKTREE; https://linktr.ee/ItsFootballDay ArtworkPhil HowellInstagram; https://www.instagram.com/everytimeishoot/

Come listen to two low IQ humans waffle about the beautiful game of football ⚽️Welcome to ITS FOOTBALL DAY, a podcast where two lads give their unfiltered opinions on the game of football. First things first, how many Weetabix has Gundogan has this season? Cause he is doing an absolute madness. Leading the line with 2 goals against Spurs meaning City go 10 points clear at the top of the table and break the record for the most consecutive wins at the start of the calendar year!Elsewhere, Aubamayang nets a hattrick, which begs the question, is he back to his best? Newcastle fall short against Chelsea again losing 2-0 this time out whilst their relegation rivals, Fulham, Burnley and Brighton all pick up points and finally, Leicester flipped a game on its head in 7 minutes when they counter-attacked their way to a 3-1 victory over Liverpool. The Champions League returned this week and Mbappe does what he does best and nets a hattrick at the Nou Camp against Barcalona, who look deflated. Liverpool get a tidy win over Leipzig and Juve are humbled by Porto! Finally, we look at the FPL table once again where Ryan is perched at the top waiting for the others to do something and Louis climbs to 6th... about time.Tune in and enjoy.
Watching FCB vs Juventus highlights was just sad. Seeing how poorly they executed their formation, lack of communication, inability to shut down their man(s), and just overall inability to perform at a Champions League team. | Juventus was able to run all over FCB, namely the same side of the field. The pockets of space they allowed were horrendous and Juv did not hesitate to capitalize on the weakness. The other issue that really hurt FCB was that the pressure on man was non-existent. A Juventus player would receive the ball and Barca's response was to give them 10ft of space. Worst of all, even after giving them so much space, they never attempted to close it down. | Unfortunately, I was only able to watch the highlights but didn't take much to pinpoint Barcalona's shortcomings. If they want to remain a top contender in the world of Soccer, something needs to change. Sadly, I think that change will start when Messi leaves for PSG, Man City, or wherever he ends up. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/shrewsburysoccer/support

Mitch starts the podcast recapping Messi's desire to leave Barcalona - and in true Mitch fashion, he gives the Perfect solution. From there the boys roll into the NHL & NBA playoffs. And it's that time of the year, that's right, the Juggernaut is back - NFL! The boys give a bit of a sample of what to expect come season opener. After dealing with some reception issues to begin and Mar's power going out midway through the episode, we were able to gain our composure and put together a fun one. We start with someone who didn't deal with composure very well in Earl Thomas, who is now a free agent after recent allegations off the field. We also discuss the NBA playoff landscape and how amazing Luka Doncic has been in the bubble. Tom's 76ers pick did not work out, shocking. We also dive into the NHL playoffs and how disappointing the Blues were, along with predictions for how the conference finals will shake up. We wrap it up by talking about the news that Lionel Messi will be leaving Barcalona and how impactful it is to the game of soccer.
The lads talk about the recent football, recounting the FA Cup quarterfinals aswell as Chelsea's hilarious loss to West Ham, Arsenal domination of Norwich and Barcalona's recent struggles

There are fewer games bigger in football than Champions League matches and in Glasgow these don't come much bigger than Celtic v Barca. We are only in the embryonic stages of the Rodgers revolution but already we can all see that the club is taking it's first steps on what looks like it will be a wonderful journey and the podcast starts off with chat from Brendan giving an insight into his vision for this club. He does this whilst interweaving chat about Barca and the forthcoming Cup Final. After the Brendan chat Jack Lyons and I have a brief conversation about how the two teams may set up before the podcast returns to the main pre-Barca press conference with chat from Broony and more from the manager. If you wonder why the main conference occasionally jumps from one topic to the next it's where I've chopped out the Spanish translation and just missed the start of the next question. Enjoy...
