The Cleveland Browns initial 53 man roster held in tact for about 21 hours. The Browns were awarded Kahlef Hailassie off of waivers from the Kansas City Cheifs, and released veteran AJ Green shortly thereafter. The team hopes to get Green back on the practice squad but we will have to see on that. They got a good look at Hailassie last Saturday in the preseason finale. The practice squad currently has 15 out of 16 spots filled, 12 names are ones we are all familiar with. There were three names added to the squad two of which are very interesting. Alex Leatherwood was picked 17th overall by the Raiders in 2021 and is a solid athlete who now gets to be the next project for offensive line coach Bill Callahan. P.J. Walker had a stint as the starting quarterback for the Panthers and now comes to Cleveland to help Deshaun Watson and mentor Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
