Also, Anpfiff! Host Carl Lewis chats to Zach Lowy about their favourite transfers this window and the pair touch on some of the biggest deadline day transfers in the Premier League. Antony Manchester United have completed the signing of Antony from Ajax in a deal initially worth €95m (£82m), the forward describing it as an “incredible moment” after agreeing on a five-year contract with the option of 12 further months. Wesley Fofana and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Fofana, meanwhile, has signed a seven-year contract and the 21-year-old is the third player to join Chelsea this summer for £50m or more, after Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella.  Chelsea's summer spending could reach close to £350m as they pursue deadline-day deals for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Josko Gvardiol. The figure in the first window under the new owners went past £250m on Wednesday with the £75m signing of Wesley Fofana from Leicester. Eddie Howe believes Alexander Isak possesses the “X factor” to succeed at Newcastle United and is convinced the £59m Sweden striker is ideally suited to the English game. The 22-year-old's club record move from Real Sociedad on a six-year contract was confirmed on Friday, and Newcastle's manager is planning to give Isak a debut during Sunday's visit to Wolves. Marc Cucurella's move from Brighton to Chelsea has been confirmed in a deal that could reach £62m. Chelsea are paying a guaranteed £55m for the left-back and up to another £7m in add-ons. Wolves are set to sign the Portugal midfielder Matheus Nunes after agreeing a deal worth €45m (£38m) plus €5m in add-ons with Sporting for the 23-year-old. West Ham have announced the signing of the Brazil midfielder Lucas Paquetá from Lyon in a club-record €60m (£51.3m) deal. The 25-year-old becomes the eighth new recruit for the Hammers this summer, signing a deal until 2027 with an option to extend his contract by an additional year.

James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop react to Thursday's Transfer Deadline Day deals, and the incredible amounts of money spent by Premier League clubs in this summer transfer window. More than £2 billion ($3.03 million CAD) changed hands, seeing players like Antony join Manchester United and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang return to London to join Chelsea. But Cristiano Ronaldo did not leave Man Utd, despite a summer of speculation that he did not want to stay and miss out on a season of Champions League football.    Leicester City's reluctance to spend money has Brendan Rodgers calling out his owners, and the crew wondering if he's the next man to lose his job. Would he get another big job after LCFC? Chelsea fans will have to wait to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Chelsea blue as he recovers from a broken jaw suffered during a home invasion in Spain, that led to a "more money, more problems" conversation about what footballers, like Paul Pogba, have to deal with off the pitch that people often don't consider when criticizing what they're doing on the pitch. Producer Dan Wong and Jimmy share near death experiences, that they laugh through the entire time. Spoiler alert: pizzas and peeing ones pants are themes. Imagine meeting one of the most influential sports people of all time, and then watching one of the greatest athletes ever play one of her final matches, all on the same day! That's how James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan, Brendan Dunlop and producer Dan Wong spent their Wednesday. The crew attended Tennis Canada‘s inaugural UNMATCHED: Gender Equity in Sports Conference and listened to a series of panels featuring inspiring and progressive women in sports, which included Canada‘s Minister of Defense, Olympic gold medal winning goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé, and tennis icon Billie Jean King. They even got their picture taken with her and shared some laughs, before watching Serena Williams play in the National Bank Open, in what was her final match on Canadian soil.    That all lead to a considerably more thoughtful and deep hearted series of conversations than you're used to hearing on our big midweek episode. Jimmy talked about his experiences as a modern day manager, wanting to prioritize the person over the player, and understanding why the practises that he and Craig experienced playing in England in the 1990s, largely driven by intimidation and fear, would not translate to today's game.    The boys also react to the MLS All-Stars beating the Liga MX All-Stars in the 2022 MLS All-Star game in Minnesota. Unsurprisingly, Dunny is a big fan of the format. Barcelona‘s financial troubles and the potential free agency of new signings Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessié have the crew scratching their heads, and Craig & Jimmy try to imagine what it would be like to be in that situation. Chelsea's potential double swoop of Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is intriguing, and Craig admits he hates the transfer window.    The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. It's the first day of a brand new English Premier League season, so James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop wanted to hear from you the fans, to get your perspective, before all the hope and good feelings melt away. Brett Bates, chairman of the Toronto Lions, Aston Villa supporters club, explains why AVFC are a big club and backs Steven Gerrard to get it right. West Ham fan Dan Baldwin from the Toronto Hammers thinks seventh place is within reach this season thanks to keeping hold of Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen. Wolverhampton Wanderers fan Brett Townley from Worldwide Wolves of Toronto worries that his side have run out of money, and ideas. And Jordan Thelan, founder of the Toronto Trickies, Nottingham Forest supporters club, is very bullish about Forest's return to the top flight and has some great banter with Jimmy and the boys.    And of course with news that Chelsea look likely to sign one of either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Cristiano Ronaldo, the boys debate on who the right choice would be and question how Thomas Tuchel must feel. Richie Laryea's loan move back to Toronto FC until summer 2023 is confirmed, and Dunlop admits he's finally watched one of the greatest films of all time - Scarface.  The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV.
