Judy Cerda has been acting in movies, commercials, music videos, corporate videos, web series, tv shows and more pretty regularly for about 20 years. Before then, I did a lot of theatre acting in plays and musicals. I love playing a variety of roles but favor some roles over others. I am also a dancer and singer so incorporating dancing in films, commercials and music videos is always a good thing. Many of the movies I am in are on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Stash TV, Tubi TV and in many other streaming sites plus a lot of them have played in selected movie theatres and films festivals. Some of my highlights are The Ghost of Annie Lee, River of Ghosts, Julia Styles, The Tardins, Inhumane, Satan's Cemetery, Satan's Orgy of Blood, El Camino, Year Eight, Taxi 24/7 and In Three Days. Some of the movies I have done that have not been released yet but will be soon are The Tardins, Blitz's, The Fallen, Satan's Orgy of Blood and Losers Weepers II. I am looking forward to seeing those movies released to the public in venues and/or streaming sites.A lot of my commercials and music videos can be found on my youtube channel now as well as many short films that have already made the festival circuit. I'm looking forward to a great year and think 2026 will be the best!#judycerda #actress #dancer #chrispomay #livewithcdp #barrycullenchevroletdealership judycerda3@sbcglobal.net (email address)http://www.imdb.me/judytheactresshttps://sites.google.com/site/judycer... / judycerda https://www.modelmayhem.com/JudyCerdahttps://beacons.ai/chrisdpomayhttps://www.cameo.com/chrispomayhttps://www.paypal.com/paypalme/chris...https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast...https://www.barrycullen.com/

She is the author of over 57 books in numerous series but her “American in Paris” series has been a delightful escape over the last year. It is a cozy mystery set in postwar 1950s Paris with a dynamic mystery-solving duo featuring none other than Julia Child. Book 3 in the series titled A Fashionably French Murder was published in April. So we were thrilled when Colleen agreed to chat with us about this series as well as several of her other books. Colleen's style of writing often includes a pairing. She has a mystery series that involves Agatha Christie and her housekeeper, another series featuring Abraham Lincoln and his aide, and even a steampunk paranormal YA series involving an imaginary crime-fighting pairing of Bram Stoker's younger sister and Sherlock Holme's niece. As we know from doing this podcast, having a partner-in-crime makes things much more fun. In our book rec section of the episode, we are all about gardens. We are not reviewing gardening books, however. Rather, we're talking about books in which gardens, gardeners, flowers and shrubs are part of the story in some format. We've got thrillers, middle grade, fantasy, contemporary family drama, murder mysteries, and Appalachian gothic. Books Mentioned in this Episode: 1- A Fashionably French Murder (American in Paris series) by Colleen Cambridge 2- Food People by Adam M. Roberts 3- The World's Greatest Detective and Her Just Ok Assistant by Liza Tully 4- Dept Q by Jussi Adler-Olsen 5- A Murder Most French (American in Paris series) by Colleen Cambridge 6- In the Spirit of French Murder by Colleen Cambridge 7- Paris Noir: The Secret History of a City by Jacques Yonnet 8- The Seven Rings (The Lost Bride Trilogy #3) by Nora Roberts 9- The Rosie Result (Don Tillman #3) by Graerme Simsion 10-The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion 11-The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion 12- Forged by Danielle Teller 13- A Five Star Read Recommended by Fellow Book Lover Betsy Tomszak @bookswithbetsy - Reservoir Bitches by Dahlia de la Cerda 14- The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett 15- The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister 16- June in the Garden by Eleanor Wilde 17- A Botanist's Guide to Parties & Poisons by Kate Khavari 18- The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst 19- Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton 20- The Summer of June by Jamie Sumner Media mentioned-- 1- Hacks (Max, 2021 - present) 2- Dept Q (Netflix, 2025) 3- Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022) 4- The New Look (Apple Plus - 2024)

This week I am joined by Jennifer Cerda & Denver Riley who share their experiences in teaching and leadership, along with some unforgettable classroom moments. From managing classroom dynamics to the infamous pep rally incident that shocked the entire school, they dive deep into the challenges and rewards of teaching today. The discussion touches on everything from building relationships with students and administrators to the importance of humor and leadership in the classroom. They also reflect on how these moments shaped their careers, and why sometimes, things don't go as planned—especially at school events. This episode offers a blend of humor, insight, and advice for educators navigating the unpredictable world of teaching. Takeaways: Building Relationships Is Essential: Strong connections with students and administrators create a more effective and supportive teaching environment, helping educators manage challenges with ease. Classroom Leadership Evolves: With time and experience, teachers learn to balance authority, humor, and empathy to foster a classroom culture where students feel respected yet engaged. Unpredictable School Events: As seen in the infamous pep rally moment, school events can go off-script, and it's important for educators to maintain professionalism, especially in unexpected situations. Humor Can Be a Powerful Tool: Incorporating humor in the classroom helps diffuse tension, build rapport with students, and keeps learning enjoyable, as long as it's used appropriately. Support for New Teachers Is Key: Mentorship and leadership support are crucial for new teachers, helping them build confidence, navigate school politics, and handle the complexities of teaching. — Want to Learn more about Jennifer Cerda & Denver Riley?
