Republicans spin a good yarn, but data doesn't lie, and since globalization began the contrast between Republican and Democratic performance on the economy has been incredibly stark. Look no further than Bidenomics vs. Reaganomics. While the Democrats continue to evolve to attempt to create an economy that works for all of us, Republicans keep doubling down on policies that only serve the rich. There's no reason Democrats should continue to lose the conversation around the economy when study after study shows that Democratic leadership equals growth, lower deficits, and the ability to adapt to a changing market, while Republican leadership equals recessions, higher deficits, and continued American decline. With that in mind, today we talk about the success of Bidenomics with White House Communications Director, Ben LaBolt. You want to understand where we really are with politics & the economy? We are joined today by Mark Scherer - Founder and CEO of Encompass Life. Mark is a life coach who has created a coaching strategy called the Quantum Leap Technique - a system which focuses on the energetic impact our chosen words have on our day-today experience of life. The program brings specific awareness to the significance within the word “Not” - and how repetitive use of this one word, is directly related to the amount of anxiety one experiences throughout their lives. At times - it can seem as if life is somehow destined to challenge us. And at times we question this notion, seemingly on almost a daily basis. Our motivated thinking and projected constructs aside, as we each address our daily circumstances, there are times when we turn towards coping mechanisms to address such feelings as anger, contempt, disgust, fear and sadness. Perhaps chief among these - is a desire to complain. Complaining is referred to as expressing discontent or resentment. While we may think we are just “venting”, in reality, complaining has significant impacts on our brains and our happiness. Input from this data shows that most people complain once a minute during a typical conversation. Complaining is tempting because it feels good, but like many other things that are enjoyable -- such as smoking or eating a pound of bacon for breakfast -- complaining isn't good for you. Research from Stanford University has shown that complaining shrinks the hippocampus -- an area of the brain that's critical to memory, problem solving and intelligent thought. The study found that engaging in complaining or simply hearing someone complain for more than 30 minutes could physically damage our brains. Your brain loves efficiency and doesn't like to work any harder than it has to. When you repeat a behavior, such as complaining, your neurons branch out to each other to ease the flow of information. This makes it much easier to repeat that behavior in the future -- so easy, in fact - that you might not even realize you're doing it. Words, being expressed as sound ; have an energetic vibrational frequency. Perhaps then, as we consider the frequency of the words we express, we can see the correlation between the feelings and thoughts we each share - helping us to understand our relationship with ourselves and others. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thelightinside/message

Billie Eilish history Born and raised in Los Angeles, Eilish grew up in a household of actors and musicians and was home-schooled along with her brother Finneas O'Connell (the Slightlys). At the age of eight, she joined the Los Angeles Children's Choir, developing the soulful vocals that would later appear on her early singles. After the release of the pop-leaning "Six Feet Under" and "Fingers Crossed," Eilish made her breakthrough with "Ocean Eyes," produced and co-written with her brother Finneas and released by Interscope. It surpassed 14 million online streams and spawned a number of remixes with Astronomyy, Blackbear, and Goldhouse. Eilish followed up in February 2017 with "Bellyache," then landed another track, "Bored," on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. An EP, don't smile at me, featuring the singles "Copycat" and "watch," followed later that summer. In 2018, Eilish contributed a track to the second season of 13 Reasons Why, collaborating with Khalid on the hit single "Lovely," which charted globally. Later that year she issued a pair of singles, "You Should See Me in a Crown" and "When the Party's Over," which both landed on her full-length debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Issued in March 2019, the breakthrough effort showcased her hybrid blend of pop, electronic, and hip-hop textures with a rock edge. Debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, the LP quickly became a worldwide smash and one of the most critically lauded efforts of 2019. Meanwhile, the pulsing single "Bad Guy" topped the Hot 100 and even got the remix treatment with Eilish's childhood idol, Justin Bieber. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

This is the debut EP by Singer-Songwriter Billie Eilish. Released in 2017 with the hit song "Ocean Eyes" on this EP as well. She has her brother Finneas as her main producer and made some very poppy sounding. But it makes it too poppy sounding as well, mixing the sound making her stuck in this dream-popish type of sound with generic lyrics about love and subject matter that might caught your eye like "Bellyache" and the track with Vince Staples as the only feature on the EP. I hope that she doesn't sound poppy when I review her debut album. RATE: 5.5/10 Favorites: COPYCAT, Bellyache, &burn, Party Favor Least Fav: Hostage Stay Craving My Lil Junkies
Another expression for a stomach ache is a bellyache.
Billie Eilish is a singer/songwriter hailing from Los Angeles and a girl who deserves that epic intro. She and her brother Finneas have been creating music together since they were just little. The daughter of two performers, singing had simply been a part of her life. Since uploading her music online had simply become a form of expression she wasn't expecting much clout when dropping her Soundcloud single Ocean Eyes. The girl thought it would be a song for her small circle of friends but it has since gone on to clock in 40 million views on YouTube and 71 million Soundcloud streams at the time this recording launching the young girl to superstardom. Now touring all over the world, Billie Eilish has amassed a fanbase spanning from the U.S. of A, all the way down to New Zealand. The girl's Instagram following went from 257 thousand to over 6.3 million in the span of just a year. At a show, a fan asked if Billie could sign her inhaler for her. Billie agreed to as long as the fan signed hers in exchange. Since blowing up she has unleashed several more hits on our ears including Bellyache and Lovely as well as dropping two Extended Plays in 2017. With a sense of humor that blends perfectly with her unique style, Billie is a breath of fresh air for anyone looking for a self-aware young artist with no shortage of personality. As for her singing, Billie Eilish has been praised for her abilities, even drawing some comparisons to Lorde. And she's only sixteen. Let that sink in.

Welcome to Episode 22 of a Paranormal Road Trip Podcast. It's time for a spooky ride, buckle-up everyone. Someone punch 3801 Madison Avenue into the GPS, we're headed to Indianapolis, Indiana. Here you'll find a red brick pre-Civil War home, with restless spirits that go bump in the night. The Hannah House, built by Alexander Hannah in 1858, has seen its share of history and tragedy. Alexander used his home to serve as a safe stop along the underground railroad. Now people wonder if it's some of those slaves who still hide in the basement of the Hannah House. From figures hiding in the shadows to the nauseating smell of burning flesh, visitors to the basement where a tragic fire took the lives of slaves fleeing the south don't feel alone. Be careful walking the halls as objects have been known to fly at unsuspecting passerby's. Oh and that man you see standing on the lawn, on the stairs, or in the hall may evaporate into thin air when you walk towards him. The grandpa man just might have a little chit chat with your kiddos. Things are not always what they seem at the Hannah House. Buckle your seatbelts, grab a buddy, we are heading to Indiana. Here we go again on another adventure in Texas. We are off to see the paranormal ways of the Emily Morgan DoubleTree Hotel. This hotel is named after Emily Morgan, who was an indentured servant during the Texas Revolution. Six weeks after the legendary Battle of the Alamo, on April 16, 1836, Emily Morgan was captured along with other members of her household by the Mexican army and was forced to travel with the forces of General Antonio López de Santa Anna. While no official record exists surrounding the details of the unguarded Mexican camp, it is rumored that General Santa Anna was "preoccupied" with Emily Morgan during the pivotal battle cries, missing them completely and not alerting his troops. This former hospital now hotel has an interesting past. Come join us as we talk about the terra cotta gargoyles, each one depicting a different ailment. There's an elevator that has a mind of its own and likes to take its riders to the basement. Any votes to leave Brooke there?
