We're back with Kirt at Dirty Kustomz to take a look at his most recent build, a beautiful Knucklehead chopper Kirt has named Purple Reign. Kirt's artistic side has really come through on this incredible build based on a Santee nostalgia Softail frame with a 46 Knucklehead EL engine and a whole bunch of twisty, swirly, pieces that are both ornamental and functional. The paint on this build is truly exceptional. The Purple flake dances with all the chrome in such a way it's tough to tell who's leading.Take a look, hit the like button, and leave Kirt a comment on his project.SMK Helmets is the largest manufacturer of quality motorcycle helmets in the world with capacity to produce more than 14 million helmets a year. Rev. and I are thrilled to be warming everyone up with a series of interviews we conducted in Las Vegas at the ICSC this past Spring....here comes the Vegas Series... A full cast of amazing Marylanders including Howard Perlow, Johnny O, Steuart Pittman, Calvin Ball, Aaron Tomachio and Nestor Aparicio. We were thrilled to welcome them Poolside at our Moblile Podcast Center for chats about everything politics, Baltimore Sports, the work that's being done at TradePoint Mid Atlantic and so much more... Let's get it started with our first guest of the day Nestor Aparicio where we talk sports and crabcakes two of his favorite subjects. Nestor Aparicio began his career in 1984 chronicling sports for The News American and The Baltimore Sun before hosting sports radio in 1992. In 1998, he purchased WNST-AM 1570 and retired in 2006 after hosting 14 years of daily sports radio - including three as a nationally-syndicated host on Sporting News Radio - assuming a full-time role as C.E.O. of WNST.net where "We Never Stop Talking" Baltimore sports has extended to the mobile web with the area's largest social media footprint and around the clock conversation, news and views. He loves the Ravens, Orioles and all the local teams. If you didn't know it he has written three books including "Purple Reign 2: Faith, Family & Football - A Baltimore Story" & "Purple Reign: Diary of a Raven Maniac." He doesn't hold back as usual and this turned out to be a great conversation......Vegas Series...we have acheived lift off..... Enjoy!

For the first of our three-part series on the High Priest of Pop, Prince, the University of Minnesota's Dr. Elliott H. Powell joins the show to discuss the rise of perhaps pop history's greatest enigma. Louie and Elliot unpack Prince's upbringing in Minneapolis, his impressive 1978 debut, For You, on which he played every instrument, and mainstream breakthrough with his self-titled sophomore album in 1979 and its smash "I Wanna Be Your Lover". Then they tackle how 1980's filthy, carnal Dirty Mind established Prince at pop's vanguard and presaged the sound of the 1980s and the cultural debate Prince wielded on 1981's Controversy. Finally, they discuss how 1982's 1999 synthesized Prince's persona and sound into something broadly appealing and set the stage for his Purple Reign that would follow in the coming years.Join us next week for Part 2 which will cover Prince's imperial phase, from 1984's Purple Rain to 1989's Batman.Listen to Pop Pantheon's Prince Essentials PlaylistJoin Pop Pantheon: All Access, Our Patreon Channel, for Exclusive Content and MoreBuy Tickets to Pop Pantheon Live: Britney's Memoir, Music & Legacy on 11/2 In PasadenaCome to Gorgeous Gorgeous NYC on September 16Come to Gorgeous Gorgeous LA on September 29Shop Merch in Pop Pantheon's StoreFollow Dr. Elliott H.
