Darmsanierung ohne die Ernährung umzustellen? Immer wieder erfahre ich von Kunden, dass sie sich wundern, dass ihre Darmgesundheit sich nicht verbessert, obwohl Sie Flohsamenschalen, Probiotika und Vitamine einnehmen. Meist liegt es dann daran, dass die Ernährung nicht umgestellt wurde! Die wichtigsten Gründe, die ich in der Folge erläutere, warum eine ungünstige Ernährung deine Darmgesundheit verhindert: Falsche Ernährung fördert Entzündungen (was wiederum eine entzündete Darmschleimhaut nach sich ziehen kann) Schnelle Kohlenhydrate, Zucker, Alkohol führen zu einem erhöhten pH Wert im Darm, was wiederum gute Bakterien vermindert und die Ansiedelung von potentiell pathogenen Bakterien begünstigt Toxine wie z.B. Alkohol blockieren den Stoffwechsel und verringern auch die Fettverbrennung Selbstverständlich fasse ich auch nochmals zusammen, worauf du bei einer darmfreundlichen Ernährung achten kannst. In der heutigen Folge geht es um Präbiotika, und hier insbesondere die Akazienfasern, die wir zu unserem Liebling erkoren haben. Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Probiotika und Präbiotika Wichtig zum Anfang ist, den Unterschied zwischen Probiotika und Präbiotika zu klären. Probiotika sind Bakterien, die im Darm wichtige Funktionen für die Verdauung, die Herstellung von Hormonen, oder auch die Immunabwehr haben. Präbiotika sind bestimmte Ballaststoffe, die den Bakterien als Futter dienen. Diese Ballaststoffe können im Dünndarm nicht verdaut werden und kommen so in den Dickdarm, wo sie dann das Wachstum von positiven Bakterien wie zum Beispiel der Bifidobakterien begünstigen. Ausserdem helfen sie, potentiell schädliche Bakterienarten zu vermindern und dienen auch dazu, kurzkettige Fettsäuren herzustellen, die wiederum wichtig für deine Energie sind und auch mithelfen, Entzündungen zu reduzieren. Bekannte Präbiotika Einerseits ist eine ballaststoffreiche Ernährung hilfreich. Hochwertige und präbiotische Ballaststoffe findest du beispielsweise in Zwiebeln, Knoblauch, Spargel, Lauch, Artischocken, Chicorée, Schwarzwurzel, Kohl, Topinambur, Hülsenfrüchten, aber auch in pektinhaltingen Früchten wie in Äpfeln, Beeren, Birnen. Auch sogenannte resistente Stärke in abgekühlten Nudeln, Reis oder auch in Bananen sind hilfreich. Es gibt einige verschiedene Produkte, die präbiotische Wirkungen haben, wie zum Beispiel Inulin, Flohsamenschalen, aber eben auch Akazienfasern. Wir haben uns für die Akazienfasern entschieden, weil sie erstens leicht einzunehmen sind, so gut wie keinen Geschmack haben und eben auch keine Blähungen verursachen, wie das die anderen Präbiotika eher machen. Warum haben wir uns für die Akazienfasern entschieden? Die Ballaststoffe, die mit Akazienfasern geliefert werden, kurbeln die Vermehrung gesundheitsfördernder Bifidobakterien und Lactobazillen besonders gut an. In einer Untersuchung hat sich nämlich herausgestellt, dass Akazienfasern das sogar besser gelingt als dem Präbiotikum Inulin. Ausserdem hat eine Untersuchung von unserem Speziallabor, das eben auch Mikrobiomanalysen macht, dass die Akazienfasern bei den Probanden sehr gut beigetragen haben, um Faecalibacterium Prausnitzii und Akkermansia muciniphila zu erhöhen. Und das wiederum ist wichtig, um die Darmschleimhaut aufzubauen und Entzündungen entgegenzuwirken. Unsere deutschen Kollegen haben zur Einnahme von Akazienfasern auch ein Video erstellt, welches demonstriert, warum die Akazienfasern so angenehm einzunehmen sind, z.B. im Gegensatz zu den Flohsamenschalen: https://arktisbiopharma.de/arktis-grow-akazienfasern-vs-flohsamenschalen/ Darmsanierung: ideale Kombi zwischen Probiotika, Präbiotika und Ernährung Zu einer Darmsanierung gehören Präbitotika aber eben auch Probiotika einfach dazu Wie gesagt helfen die Präbiotika, also diese besonderen Ballaststoffe, wie du sie zum Beispiel in den Akazienfasern findest dabei, Bifidobakterien und Laktobazillen zu fördern. Sie tragen dadurch auch zur Reduktion des pH Wertes im Darm bei, was dann wiederum hilft, dass du Mineralstoffe besser aufnehmen kannst und dass die Verdauung insgesamt besser funktioniert. Bei Blähungen, Verstopfung aber auch Durchfall haben sich die Akazienfasern super bewährt. Sie wirken also in beide Richtungen, bei Verstopfung lockern sie den Stuhl und bei Durchfall tragen sie dazu bei, überschüssiges Wasser aufzusaugen und eben wieder einen festeren Stuhl zu machen. Wichtig auf jeden Fall, dass du genügend Wasser trinkst, wenn du Präbiotika nimmst. Und was bei einer Darmsanierung immer dazu gehört: die tägliche Ernährung nicht vergessen! Wer sollten auf genügend Präbiotika Zufuhr achten? Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass ich die Akazienfasern vor allem Menschen empfehle, die unter den folgenden Problemen leiden: Blähungen Durchfall Verstopfung Nach Antibiotikatherapie Belastung mit schädlichen Bakterien, wie z.B. Clostridien zu hoher pH Wert Leaky Gut Entzündungen an der Darmschleimhaut Laktoseintoleranz Häufig gestellte Fragen zu den Akazienfasern, die ich in der Folge beantworte Darf ich die Akazienfasern Arktis Grow mit Medikamenten einnehmen? By the time he was 42, Dr. Tom started to have vision problems. Tom had a cataract. An asymmetrical cataract in a 42-year-old guy is unusual. After doing some research, Dr. Tom saw that lead poisoning could trigger his health issues. When Dr. Tom tested himself for lead poisoning, he had the highest levels of lead that he had ever seen. Tom grew up one block from the Ford assembly line with no government regulations for heavy metal filtration. He was sucking in a lot of lead as a kid. [16:30] Five Pillars That Contribute To Chronic Disease Intestinal permeability is a Zonulin modulated mechanism. When you have too much Zonulin being secreted, your cells are open too much, too frequently, and too large. All disease begins in the leaky gut. There are five mechanisms that create the perfect storm in developing chronic inflammatory diseases: Genetics Environmental Triggers The impact of the environmental triggers on the microbiome in your gut Leaky gut Systemic inflammation in the body [37:25] You Have 10 Times More Bacteria In The Gut Than All The Cells In The Human Body A teaspoon of poop has more bacteria than all the stars in the known universe. However since the beginning of 2021 I've been struggling with extremely dry lips. I have tried half a dozen products, all help but only a little. I have to use them upwards of 6 times a day to get close to normal. I drink around 40 oz of water with some LMNT daily and some decaffeinated (mostly herbal) tea once or twice a day. I am totally addicted to LMNT! With the colder weather approaching, it seems to be getting worse. Really unsure on how to move forward with this pesky annoyance. Would really appreciate your input. Thanks so much!! 3. Fueling for Wildland Firefighters [18:45] James: Hi Robb and Nicki! I am a wildland fire crew leader based in Ontario Canada. I am looking for information on how to best fuel myself and my crew for the sometimes gruelling efforts the job demands. I have listened to some of the other episodes regarding to fuelling for hiking and hunting etc., and while I've gleaned some valuable insight, I am aware that the intensity of the job might require a modified approach. Namely more carbs. We are deployable up to 19 days and usually have relative autonomy in fresh food choices, outside of the first 72 hours in which we have preselected, non parishable options. I personally choose the first 24 hours worth of food. While I do my best to fill our bag with canned fish, nuts, jerky and other sources of protein and fat, a sizeable portion contains candy, chocolate and other sources of quick sugar. In other words junk. For the sake of brevity, here is my question: What do you reccommend for innocuous sources of non-perishable carbs that can be consumed on the go? Thank you guys for all that you do, Wishing you the best, James 4. Offering a cautionary tale for excessive nicotine lozenge/gum consumption [25:46] Jack says: I recently quit using lozenges/gum. I began using it in college about 6 years ago for the stimulant/nootropic effect, not as NRT, as I've never smoked or vaped. I was bought into the idea that sure, it was addictive, but other than that it was basically harmless. So I didn't worry that much as my use became more and more excessive, especially since I wasn't using tobacco or inhaling questionable chemicals from vape liquid. I was consuming probably 30-40mg a day. As far as I can tell that isn't that far off from the initial starting dose for NRT. A day or two after quitting I began to notice drastic improvements in my circulation. My hands and feet were alternately tingly and itchy for a few days. My color vision improved, I suddenly noticed shades of blue/green had much more differentiation. Even just taking a hot shower felt incredible because my skin sensation was so improved. After a few days the dead skin on my feet started to peel, as if I was molting like a snake. And I hope my hair will grow in thicker as well, that is one of the main reasons I'm quitting (besides excessive spending on lozenges). And related to my hair, I do weekly microneedling of my hairline along with a daily compounded topical dutasteride/minoxidil/tretinoin formulation (microneedling and tretinoin both enhance the effect minoxidil). My skin heals a lot easier from the microneedling, and I have much less irritation from the tretinoin. I'm currently not the healthiest otherwise which didn't help matters, since I've gained quite a bit during the pandemic. I'm 27, and my fasting glucose a few months ago was 99, so not "clinically pre-diabetic", however in my opinion is definitely worrying for my age. But I never noticed the ill effects it was causing until I stopped. Interestingly, quitting cold turkey wasn't as difficult as I imagined. I didn't really have cravings, likely because it wasn't really tied to a physical ritual like vaping or smoking. But I could only do it because I had the week off from work. I couldn't focus or really do much besides watch videos and stare at the wall. I was grumpy but it wasn't unmanageable, but after a few days it felt like I had a really bad flu, apparently that can be an acute symptom of withdrawal. I could only sleep for a few hours at a time, so I had to do many short sleeps through the day and night. I hope this helps, I think there may be other people out there like me who are consuming extreme doses of nicotine. I recall there was a guy who wrote in a few months ago who used about the same daily dose of snus. 5. Discussions on Freedom [29:48] Ellen says: Hello! In fact, there is NO significant human data that I am aware of that shows that completely eliminating lectins from your diet will make you any healthier or cure or treat any specific illness whether it be arthritis or other auto-immune or inflammatory disorders though there are some that want us to think that.So what are lectins anyway? They are a type of plant protein which binds to carbohydrates and is found in many plant based foods, known as a phytochemical, which can cause issues in some people, though mostly when the foods that contain them are eaten raw. Take for example, the case of a kidney bean; if you were to eat it raw, though almost no one would, it could make you violently sick due to the contained lectins that have not been deactivated by the HEAT of Cooking. The typical foods that contain lectins are beans or legumes, potatoes, wheat, grains, and the nightshade vegetable family (tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, potatoes). Lectins, as mentioned are plant chemicals which bind to carbohydrates and can limit or impair the nutrient absorption as in the case of the soybean for example, so eating raw soybeans will not prov
CONCERNED ABOUT lEAKY GUT Why You Should Be w/ Leaky Gut Your body is under attack and you don't even know it. Many symptoms can be happening and yet you have no idea where or why. So you take an Advil or Aleve and don't pay much attention to the symptoms. Then you learn to live with the symptoms because they are minor and nothing to worry about. So you think. Were you aware that your immune system is mainly in the intestines? It is estimated that 80% of your immunity resides in the gut. The body was designed to protect you from harm's way. The immune system tries to keep law and order inside our bodies by keeping bad things like bugs and viruses in check. We rely on good bacteria to keep the bad bacteria from taking over. When a bug or virus escapes the good bacterial environment in your intestine they create problems with inflammation. There are certain endotoxins that are created when the bugs break loose. The big-name for these endotoxins are cytokines which produce what is called a cytokine storm. This is where the body attacks the endotoxins and produces macrophages that create inflammation. In the short term, this is not a bad thing because the macrophages are doing their job. When there is prolonged exposure to these endotoxins the body is constantly inflamed. Inflammation is a problem for your brain. An inflamed brain is not healthy for you in the long run. So let's try and dumb this down to layman's terms. The wall around your intestine cannot keep the bugs from leaking out. The bugs can sneak past the blood-brain barrier thus causing the cytokine storm. The constant presence of these macrophages can lead to a host of autoimmune symptoms that can take years to manifest with clinical symptoms. Then the problem tends to be addressed with medications to deal with symptoms but not fix the walls of the intestines meant to protect you. Everyone by now has heard about the benefits of probiotics. These help seed your intestines with nutrients to keep the good bacteria strong. The good bacteria will keep the bad bacteria in check. You can find glyphosate on nearly 100 non-GMO food crops, including vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, and cereals like wheat and oats. You can find it in wine, beer, ice cream, and pretty much everything else. Also, you wouldn't imagine in a whole host of ingredients, such as corn starch, beet and cane sugar, and even honey! Glyphosate interrupts the body's ability to turn natural sulfites from food into sulfates that the body needs to detox and stay healthy. High sulfate levels heal the gut while supporting the absorption of many vital nutrients. Sulfates assist in clear brain fog and improve memory through increased blood flow. Some suggested things to detox are drink and bathe in purified, start organic food from trusted sources, and if you can, grow your organic fruits, veggies, and herbs – it's easier than you think! Detox the liver and kidneys - these help the body eliminate glyphosate through urine. Also, focus on having two to three bowel movements every day.
