Jesus was not a "nice guy," so why do so many Christians worry about being "nice" before anything else? Charlie and writer Aaron Ginn talk about how "nice" isn't in the Bibile, how it derives from the Latin for "ignorant," and how the desire to be "nice" is ruining the quality of America's Christian preachers.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

After an incredibly productive month of November, a trip to Tulum, launching products, hosting retreats, I had to take a little break. And now I'm back, better than ever. But after a retreat in Tulum, this experience has allowed me to really tell my truth, untold. When you are living on borrowed beliefs, you are living on beliefs from people in your life, operating on those beliefs because of what you are told or taught at a young age.In this episode, I explain my experience with Shaman healers, and the personal experience I had. The practice of Shamanism is the study of practicing, accumulating, storing and utilizing power to suspend everyday laws of nature. It's to influence and manipulate reality for the purpose of healing, prophesying, for engaging in supernatural feats. And this is exactly what I experienced, who I am as a healer, and my new found understanding of my call to be that healer for you.If you would like to know more and connect, find me on IG @malorieavaline and to experience your own healing journey, I am hosting the BE - Tulum Retreat in February. Life Group Lesson for Sunday,June 6, 2021 - "Faith Tested*" Job 1:8-22
In this 12th lesson from the book of Revelation, we are going to dig even further into the imagery of the Throne room from chapters 4 and 5. In the verses 6 through 11, we find four very peculiar living beings that surround the throne and worship the One Sitting Upon the Throne. Their act of worship, as well as the response from the 24 elders remind us that “true knowledge of who God is is inseparable from worship of God.” - Richard Bauckham The stage is being set to reveal what things in heaven look like so that we might better understand our Lord's prayer, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” For more information about this study, or to download study materials, visit our website at: https://www.msnaz.org . Here's today's promise. Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. - 1 Kings 8:56 Incredible power is released when you review how God has dealt with you in the past. In this case, Solomon is giving a blessing to the people of God. As he reviews their history, he concludes that God's promises have never failed. That what God has said He will do, He does. I love the phrase, “Not one word has failed.” You can claim the promises of the Bible because they are the word of God, and God always keeps His word. As someone who has walked with the Lord for many years, I can confess that God has never failed to accomplish His word and His will in my life. At times, I may not understand it, but as I look back on my life, I can see the hand of God working in me. The God you serve is the God who makes good on His promises. You and I can stand alongside King Solomon and agree that not one word of God has failed. Faith is believing that what God has said; He will do. Reviewing how God has worked in your life in the past is a powerful way of strengthening your faith. Sure there were times when you felt like He wasn't going to come through. You may have experienced times of discouragement, but God has always fulfilled His promise to you.
The Book of Job's author is not known, its origins date back to as far as Abraham (2000BC) in the land of Uz (Canaan). But once you read its contents you soon find that the context is insignificant. Job is a humble man living in the ideal situation. He has a family, a huge farm and a faith in God. But then his life is turned upside down when everything is taken away from him. What follows is a story of suffering, injustice and distrust. It makes us ask the question, is God really just? And, do are material possessions determine how satisfied we are with God? We discuss this all and more with our friend Toby Shearn. GQ can't tell you what will be in style 10 years from now. But the Bibile accurately tells us what happens 1000 years later. EXACTLY. Reading the Bible will get you further in life than GQ. The 2nd Book of Samuel celebrates King David's fame and admits his flaws. God knows we are not perfect, so he perfected us with the blood of Jesus Christ. This is not a test, its the real thing. Listen Live or later. To God be the Glory.
One of the four disciplines that help are spiritual growth is Time with God. This includes reading the Bibile and prayer.
