Spoiler Alert: Full spoilers for She Beast (aka Revenge of the Blood Beast) so watch the movie before you listen. “That should be the tagline… what was the point of any of this?!”
This month Lee takes a look at music from films about possibly the world's most famous cryptid, the Sasquatch - or as it/they are better known in pop and general culture: Bigfoot. There are just so many films, especially in the last thirty years or so, that the list is focused on the real peak period of interest, the 1970s and 1980s. Even then this list threatened to be much larger than it ended up being, but a lot of the music was impossible to source. Still, Lee feels this list is large enough to pay proper tribute to that mythical(?) hairy giant in the woods. --Main Theme from "Bigfoot" (1970) --Richard Podolor --The Legend of Boggy Creek from "The Legend of Boggy Creek" (1972) --Chuck Bryant & Earl E. Smith --Popcorn from "Shriek of the Mutilated" (1974) --Hot Butter --Ballad of McCullough's Mountain from "Blood Beast of Monster Mountain" (1975) --Tim York --Exits and Truckstops from "Creature from Black Lake" (1976) --Jim McCullough Jr. --High in the Mountains & Bigfoot Theme from "Sasquatch" (1976) --Lane Caudell & Al Capps --Suite from "Snowbeast" (1977) --Robert Prince --What's it Take to be a Believer from "In the Shadow of Big Foot" (1977) --Phillip Malbrough --Main Title from "Return to Boggy Creek" (1977) --Darrell Deck --Yeti from "Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century" (1977) --Sante Maria Romitelli feat. The Yetians --My Spirit Runs Free from "The Capture of Bigfoot" (1979) --Mitch Irish with The Friends --Sensuous Tiger from "The Capture of Bigfoot" (1979) --Mitch Irish & Patty Holzmann with The Friends --Suite from "Night of the Demon" (1980) --Dennis McCarthy --Love Lives On from "Harry and the Hendersons" (1987) --Joe Cocker --Keep on Climbing from "Cry Wilderness" (1987) --Ralph Ives(?) --Main & End Titles from "Demon Warp" (1988) --Dan Slider Opening and closing music: Main Title from "Battle Beyond the Stars" by James Horner, and Main Theme from "The Final Terror" by Susan Justin.

The importance of the movie poster is almost lost in this day and age. With the internet flooding social media with trailers, photos, and all sorts of advertisements, the poster art might get lost in the shuffle. But decades ago, it was the first thing used to promote an upcoming feature film. It had to reach out and grab hold of your eyes, telling your brain you need to see this film. Shortly after that, the poster collecting started. Why do we collect posters? What kinds are there? What is it about it that still holds a spell over movie goers? Join us and our special guest, Alan Tromp, as we try to answer all of those questions and more, as we discuss our own obsessions with movie posters, from one-sheets to British Quads to the French Grande size! Movie titles mentioned in this episode: Abbott & Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1953), Alabama's Ghost (1973), An American Werewolf in London (1981), Astro Zombies (1968), Asylum (1972), The Beyond (1981), Baby Driver (2017), Blood Beast from Outer Space (1965), Blood for Dracula (1974), Blood Freak (1972), Blood of Ghastly Horrors (1967), Bloody Pit of Horror (1965), The Brain Eaters (1958), Brides of Blood (1968), Captain Kronos (1974), Cemetery Girls (1973), The Changeling (1980), Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972), City of the Living Dead (1980), Clash of the Titans (1981), Corpse Eaters (1974), Count Dracula's Great Love (1973), Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Creepshow (1982), Critters (1986), Crypt of Dark Secrets (1976), Cujo (1983), Curse of the Doll People (1961), Curse of the Voodoo (1965), The Deadly Mantis (1957), Deathdream (1974), Demon Lover (1976), Doomwatch (1972), Doctor Butcher M.D. (1980), Dracula Prince of Darkness (1966), Dracula vs Frankenstein (1971), Eaten Alive (1976), Evil Dead (1981), Evilspeak (1981), The Faculty (1998), Faster, Pussycat! Tigon British Film Productions, founded in 1966 as counter programming to the more well known Hammer Studios, nonetheless took a page from the Hammer playbook by making horror and exploitation films. Tigon films, however, are often marked by a low budget mean streak and grittiness. Successes for the company included 1967's The Sorcerers, 1968's The Witchfinder General, and 1971's Blood on Satan's Claw. 1969's The Blood Beast Terror stars Peter Cushing, Robert Flemyng, Wanda Ventham, and Vanessa Howard. Dan and Vicky have a "moth"-ful to say about the strange and quirky film along with lots of recently seen including 1972's The Flesh and Blood Show, HBO Max's Tokyo Vice and DMZ, Lelsey Manville in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, and 1964's Viva Las Vegas.
