We watched the 2016 film from Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.Dust off those lightsabers and laser blasters, rebels, because we're taking on the meanest, the baddest, the most fascist of entities in the entire universe: it's the Empire! When you're up against the wall and all your options are looking grim, are you just going to curl up into a ball and hope it'll all blow over? Hell no! You're going to assemble your finest band of rebel warriors and you're going to do what needs to be done!Be like Jyn Erso, be like Cassian Andor, be like Chirrut Imwe, Baze Malbus, and perhaps the greatest of them all, K-2SO. On May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, people around the world celebrate the epic space opera franchise. The article revolves around the quote “I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me” from the movie Rogue One, spoken by Chirrut Imwe. Chirrut is a blind warrior-monk who has deep spiritual beliefs and worships the Force. Chanting this mantra helped him overcome his blindness and focus more intently on a task. The article explains how chanting and mantras work to calm and center the mind, regardless of the religion.Research shows that chanting specific mantras can lead to stress reduction, mood elevation, and increased cardiovascular tone stability. Additionally, different mantras can help alleviate anxiety, depression, and nervousness in social situations. For example, “This will pass,” “I am kind to myself,” and “I have value” are mantras that can help alleviate anxiety, depression, and nervousness in social situations. The author concludes that you don't have to practice a religion to practice chanting, and everyone can benefit from this simple technique. As always links to further your own research and discover your own mantrahttps://medium.com/spiritual-tree/chanting-a-pathway-to-spiritual-awakening-e2557c785c43https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-40200-whttp://themusicsalon.blogspot.com/2012/05/four-kinds-of-chant.htmlhttps://www.pray.com/articles/short-prayers-to-connect-with-god#:~:text=%E2%80%9COur%20Father%2C%20who%20art%20in,Amen.%E2%80%9Dhttps://www.healthline.com/health/mind-body/mantras-for-anxiety#for-groundingTo find out more about investing in multifamily real estate schedule a call at https://www.oncallinvestments.com/Are you a healthcare provider exploring options outside of your traditional career path? Everything on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is connected. Every detail has a back story, and every experience is more than what it appears on the surface. To me, that is the beauty of the experience. The beauty of a two-day adventure on the Halcyon is experiencing the unexpected. It is your You're Story. During your two-day adventure, you choose how deep you want to get into the storyline, into the back story, or not. Lightsaber Training, for example, looks pretty cool on the surface, and it is. But take a closer look. Look at how all of this fits into the Star Wars timeline. When you first board the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, you have the opportunity to meet the crew. One crew member will be part of “The Saja,” a group of many conducting lightsaber training onboard the Halcyon. Saja Katta was on board for my brief journey. Here's the backstory of the Saja. If you remember, in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” the Empire, Director Krenic specifically, orders the destruction of the Jedi temple on Jedha, the first use of the Death Stars superweapon. The Jedi Temple had been under the protection of a group known as the Guardians of the Whills; remember Baze Malbus and Chirrut Imwe? They are Guardians of the Whills. At least they were before the Empire mined Jedha of its Kyber crystals to create the superweapon that ultimately destroyed it. After the Empire destroyed Jedha, The Guardians of the Whills survivors were scattered throughout the galaxy. The Guardians remained dedicated to preserving their knowledge of the Force. Descendants of this group became known as “The Saja.” Captain Riyola Keevan provided a safe haven aboard the Halcyon StarCruiser for the Saja, allowing them to use one of its training pods to teach the ancient art of the lightsaber. Though not Jedi themselves, the Saja can sense the Force in others and teach them how to find their connection to this mystical power. With that knowledge, you can conduct a deeper conversation with The Saja aboard your cruise or not. That's the beauty of the Galactic Starcruiser. Your discussion with The Saja may even lead you to discover that they are looking for some accent Jedi Relics, relics that had rumored to be on Batuu. Would you be willing to help them find those relics? It's up to you to live your Star Wars story. You can choose to dig deeper into the back story or not. https://youtu.be/MgV53EA5NvU

Our sights on set on space and we have stars in our eyes as we dedicate an episode to the entire Star Wars franchise. With all the coolly named characters in the Star Wars galaxy to choose from, selecting a #1 fictional crush proved more difficult than previously anticipated. But fear not! We enlisted the expert assistance of educator, tattooer, and author (“Sigh, Gone: A Misfit’s Memoir of Great Books, Punk Rock, and the Fight to Fit In”) Phuc Tran. With astute understanding of Star Wars lore, we trust Phuc to guide us through this legendary collection of characters and pilot our fictional X-wing towards supreme laughter and heightened consciousness. Together we discuss which complex Star Wars characters resonated with us the most, how family can and cannot define you, and why the galaxy appears to be the most diverse location of all. Between this episode and Phuc’s beautifully written memoir, you may just become one with the force and it with you. Making our hearts travel through hyperspace this week: Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) of the Star Wars series and Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus (Donnie Yen and Wen Jiang) of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Topic: Star Wars Episode 4-6 + Rogue One Review This week, we’re on to the original trilogy that started it all off. We’re on to the original trilogy, the ones that it all off for myself and my mom. Unlike the last ones, we both had more favorable feelings about these movies. I can’t wait to show her the next set of movies and see her reaction to those movies, see if she likes them or not. Rogue One Young JynErso is in hiding with her parents, father who is a lead engineer on the Death Star, but the Empire comes and takes Jyn’s Father away to finish the Death Star. Years Later, Jyn is picked up by the Rebels, seeking her father who is helping build the Death Star. Cassian Andor and K-2SO take her to the planet of Jedha to find Saw Gerrera, who just so happens to have a message from her father, mentioning an exploit. They pick up Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus in the process. Death Star above, led by Director Krennic, fires on the planet to test the Death Star. Grand Toff Tarkin takes over Death Star after test Rebel crew head to planet of Eadu to rescue Jyn’s Father, but fail and leave in stolen Imperial Transport ship. Director Krennic goes to Darth Vader to take command of the Death Star back, but fails and is told to clean up his mess. Rebels go to planet of Scarif to retrieve the Death Star Plans. The Main fleet of the Rebels eventually join to help with the fight. Jyn gets the stolen plans to the rebels, but not before Vader nearly has them in his grasp. Last scene leads directly in to Star Wars – A New Hope. Ep 4 Star Wars – A New Hope Princess Leia is on the run from Darth Vader with plans for the Death Star. She gives them to R2D2 R2D2 escape to planet Tatooine with C3PO, but are captured and sold to Luke Skywalker Luke meets Obiwan Kenobi Luke leaves with Obiwan to give the stolen plans to the rebels, in the Millennium Falcon, Piloted by Han Solo and Chewbacca. They rescue Leia and escape the Death Star, but not before Obiwan sacrifices himself to allow them to do so. Death Star tracks the rebels to Yavin 4, and Luke agrees to fight the Empire in an X wing. Rebels are able to blow up the Death Star with Han and Chew’s help. Big ceremony at the end. Trivia Luke Skywalker originally Starkiller Lucas opted for less pay on the movie in order own the merchandising rights Obiwan never says, “May the Force be with You” Ewan McGregor(Young Obiwan)’s uncle Was in Star wars, denis Lawson (Wedge Antillies) Ep 5 Empire Strikes Back Rebels are in hiding on ice planet Hoth, Luke gets attacked and injured, seeing Obiwan as a ghost, but is saved by Han. Wah Lum Kung Fu: Hacking Cosplay at San Diego Comicon Every once in awhile the InSecurity Podcast takes a walk with the word “hack” to other parts of existence. Yeah yeah… hard to believe that there are actual things out there besides cybersecurity… In this special episode, Matt Stephenson will be talking with some folks who are hacking what could already be considered a hack. If we know our audience, it is a fair bet to say that there are plenty of folks who know the names Chun-Li (No… not the Nicki Minaj song, but that’s an interesting point) or Chen Zhen. For those not on a first name basis… you definitely are familiar with Mortal Kombat or Double Dragon. Okay… do we really have to resort to The Matrix? Kung Fu Panda? We hope not The point is that for the last 50 years, you would be hard pressed to look in a corner of American culture and not find the influence of Kung Fu. Whether it is the greatest hip-hop collective ever The Wu-Tang Clan or Cirque Du Soleil’s KA… Maybe it is Kato from the Green Hornet or Morpheus or Chirrut Imwe in Rogue One… Kung Fu has evolved to a place where fight choreographers and stunt workers are getting billing nearly equal to writers and directors in film and television. What does any of this have to do with Cylance or cybersecurity? Take a walk with us… Cylance’s own Hiep Dang is a Sifu of Wah Lum Kung Fu and this week will be part of an amazing teaching session at San Diego Comicon! Cosplayers, Ready your Swords! Did you spend months making your costume? Ready to learn how to properly wield and pose with your sword, hammer, or lightsaber? Cosplayers will learn how to bring their characters to life from Hollywood stunt performers and martial arts experts. Mimi Chan (model and martial arts reference for Disney’s Mulan) andChristopher Leps, (Pirates of the Caribbean, Daredevil) will partake in a discussion moderated by martial arts expert, Oscar Agramonte about their action experience and how it relates to cosplay. Learn how to bring authenticity to your character from the panel and a team of martial arts experts. Be ready for action! In todays’ special San Diego Comic Con episode of InSecurity, Matt Stephenson welcomes Sifu Mimi Chan and Sifu Hiep Dang to talk about a very different kind of hack. Kung Fu has been hacking Western culture for nearly 50 years. Cosplay has been hacking culture for nearly as long. It’s time the two got together. That’s exactly what is happening at SDCC. Neil and Dan get their teeth into the latest movie in the Star Wars franchise, Rogue One, a prequel to Episode IV which is steadfastly doing its own thing, complete with retconned Death Star powers, penis-tentacled monsters and sarcastic droids. In a midichlorian-free episode, we discuss whether the Imperials should have discovered the Death Star's fatal flaw, how workplace politics can hinder us from achieving our goals, the nature of Chirrut Imwe's Force-like abilities, and the merits of re-casting versus CGI. Along the way, Dan proposes a potential spin-off podcast to explore his inner dictator, Neil ponders whether Jon Bon Jovi is in canon, we compare our tenuous connections to Star Wars cast members, and rhetorically wonder why nerds are never satisfied. In an extended news section at the end, we say goodbye to some of our childhood heroes who we've lost in recent weeks: Roger Moore (Bond), Adam West (Batman) and Andy Cunningham (Bodger). Blade II.Following Blade's success, a sequel was inevitable. Director Guillermo del Toro then came on board to help expand on the world and mythos. 节目组:The Screen Age 荧屏时代 节目名称:Rogue One: A Star War StoryF: Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the Screen Age. This is your old friend Flat.B: This is Bob Bee. Flat, did you see any good films recently? I heard that there are many star-studded films.F: Oh, I don't quite like those kinds of movies,it's just meaningless commercial films with embarrassing point.B: I agree with you. Even the science fiction movie, Arrival, is so boring that I almost fall asleep when I saw it.F: But I would like to recommend to you the prequel of Star War, Rogue One. I almost became fans of Star War.B: So, why not introduce it to our audiences.F: Sure, let's begin.F: The story begins in the early years of Galactic Empire. Orson Krennic, a high-ranking Imperial military officer and a group of people come to find Galen Erso. His aim is to get Galen to come back to the work for the Empire.B: In order to protect his daughter, Jyn Erso, Galen tells her to run away. Jyn's mother is killed when she tries to stop Orson and Galen is taken away.F: Then, fifteen years passed, the Empire is plan to create a weapon capable of destroying entire planets.Meanwhile, on the planet Jedha, a pilot who has defected from the Empire and wants to join the Rebels. He escaped from the empire and carries a message from Galen which is really important.B: On the planet Wobani, Jyn is being transferred with other prisoners, but suddenly Rebel forces break in and free them. And then they go to the moon Yavin 4, the location of Rebel base of operations.F: The Rebels think that finding Saw Gerrera and the captured pilot is paramount to find out what the Empire is plotting. So they go to Jedha. On the way finding Saw, they meet Chirrut Imwe, a blind warrior and Baze Malbus, they help them to find Saw.B: After they find the pilot, Jyn gets the information form a hologram sent by her father. In the message, her father says that there is fail-safe in the weapon, Death Star, explode it and the entire thing dies.F: Knowing the important message, Jyn and a dozen other rebel fighters head to Scarif to find the Death Star plans. And they named their ship as Rogue One.B: After a furious war, they finally get the plan and send it to the Rebels. However the planet Scarif is destroyed and all the fighters are sacrificed.F: I must say, I'm impressed by the performance of Wen Jiang and Donnie Yen. To be honest, before seeing this film, I think that if Chinese actors go to play Hollywood film, it will be embarrassed. Not only the language but also the performance style. But in this film, the two Chinese actors really did a good job. Their English is good and the two characters played by them are really cute.B: Donnie Yen also show his wonderful action performance in this film. Seems like he is carrying the Chinese kongfu to the galaxy.F: The main actress is played by Felicity Jones, who also played the wife of Hawking in The Theory of Everything.B: This young actress really got a talent. And her two front teeth really drew my attention.B: It is said that in a good prequel, everyone should die in the end of the movie. So Rogue One is a good prequel. It had everything required to make a great movie.F: Indeed. Even I haven't seen the previous Star War movies, I can feel the excitement. When I heard the sentence, “May the force be with you”, I was as excited as the die-hard SW fans were.B: It's better than The Force Awakens, without too many light sabers and Skywallkers.F: Time flies, so this is today's movie, hope you like it.B: And may the force always be with you.F: 最后感谢制作张安康。See you next time, Bye.B: Bye.节目监制:刘逸超 编辑:赛碧乐 毕鑫屹 播音:赛碧乐 毕鑫屹 制作:张安康

Your intrepid co-hosts kick things off with some more Diesel Power as they talk trailers and discuss Furious 8: The Fate of the Furious. Then, differences of opinion abound when we discuss Star Wars: Rogue One and talk the necessity (or lack thereof) of Chirrut Imwe. Darth Vader's motives are questioned, and then we segue into a rousing, swashbuckling edition of Street Pug: DA, when a mysterious amulet is delivered to the detective office, leading the boys to a museum heist, one way or the other.
Part 2 of our Rogue One discussion focuses heavily on Chirrut Imwe. Does he have force sensitivity? Does he?
Sure, Chirrut Imwe is very likely a Force user. Is Baze Malbus a Force user, too? I'm sharing my reasoning here, which also ties into Order 66. Punch it! ***We’re listener supported! Baze Malbus says Chirrut Imwe is not a Jedi. So how do you explain his amazing feats in Rogue One? Maybe not a Jedi, but still a Force user? Punch it! ***We’re listener supported!
