His first residency came at the age of 17 for deep house night ‘No Shanti' in York followed by a residency at ‘Howdoyoudo?' along with many guest slots around the city. During his time in Nottingham he started his own event ‘Sherbert' at the infamous ‘Moog' pub before founding ‘Subterranea' in 2013 - ten years later Phil remains resident DJ and co-promoter. In 2022 Phil joined the team at The Imaginarium and opened Plant & Deck, Leeds' only house plant and record shop. The shop specialises in house plants of all varieties and left-field leaning electronic music from ambient and electronica through house, techno, electro and breaks. Green fingers aside this allows him the opportunity to tip the city's vinyl diggers by drawing upon his extensive knowledge of, and passion for, electronic music. In over 20 years of DJing at, and throwing, parties he has warmed up and closed for countless DJs including Radioactive Man, Conforce & Versalife, Surgeon, Jamie Anderson, Trevino, Neville Watson and Alex Smoke to name just a few. Playing exclusively on vinyl, Phil is an accomplished DJ in his own right with shelves and shelves of records fit for any dancefloor. @conforce aka Versalife is a restless producer residing in Rotterdam, Holland, who is forever keen to search out new techniques, tools and sounds for the various musical projects in which he is involved. Continually flirting with a range of genres like techno, ambient techno, electro and house on numerous EPs and LPs, he also operates in sonic territory that has no easily identifiable name. As one of the most prolific artists in the scene over the last 10 years, he has become an essential voice in the often crowded conversation: he is someone who always speaks clearly and captivatingly and has done so via more than ten full length albums and more than 30 EPs on labels like @delsinrecords, @clone-nl, @2020visionrecordings, @echocord and his own label @transcendent-records. With this performances he focusses on musical content rather than equipment. For our ninth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series, we proudly present you: Quadrant Soundscapes. Quadrant Soundscape are Tommy Harrison and Wilson Logan from Manchester. Together, they are the minds behind the Dub Explorations Radio Show, which has also branched out into live events with several very hot and loud parties at the famous Eastern Bloc Records. Incorporating analog machines and field recordings to generate the many noises he uses in his productions, along with that 90's Jungle influence, his sound is very recognisable. And Wilson has begun a new alias, Scavenger, where he dives deep into the murky, experimemtal and dark, trippy techno world to produce very unique mixes. This alias allows Wilson to experiemnt more with his records and sound, often performing in a dark room on 4 decks alone. With a rich history of playing records and putting parties on in Manchester, hosting the likes of Remco Beekwilder, Ambivalent, Radioactiveman, Detroit Techno Militia, Mark Archer, Jerome Hill, El Choop, ODrex Records and Conforce, the boys have already secured some amazing artists for 2020 and intend to keep pushing that vibe they believe in and love. Southern italian artist Simone Gatto ( owner of Out-Electronic Recordings / Out-ER ) versatile dj and composer, is an eclectic electronic music activist, specialized in music therapy, who finds into music a dynamic source of emotions, reminds and energy. Simone’s first contact with music was early in 2004 and since then, he’s been known for globe-trotting around the world to perform quality house and techno shows and managing his own label Out Electronic Recordings with his partner Andrea Santoro, releasing music from relevant house and techno artists like The Analogue Cops, Regen, Christopher Rau, Efdemin, Orlando Voorn, LaChriz, Conforce, Fabrizio Lapiana and many others. Simone has performed in clubs like :// about blank, Griessmuehle, Suicide Club OHM ( Berlin ), Output ( NYC ), Tempio del Futuro Perduto ( Milan ), Le Rouge Pigalle ( Paris ), Paradiso Noord ( Amsterdam ), showcasing a singular aesthetics united with a solid selection criterion. As a producer, he released his own works mostly on OUT-ER plus a restricted number of realities like Orlando Voorn’s Night Vision, Subwax BCN’s sub label Vosnos and Safari Electronique from Arnaud Le Texier, Souvenir Music and Sheik’N’Beik Records. The variety of experiences and musical stimuli has brought Gatto to research the music potential together with the Italian University San Raffaele on an ever-increasing scientific and emotional scale. The results have led to the organization of several seminars and workshops, organized throught Out Electronic Recordings and happening in between Italy, Germany and Holland, in which artists and music industry experts examine the relationship between sounds and emotions. The tangible findings and collected depositions will be put out on a book to be published in late 2017, where the personal path of the artist and the musical context he’s studied and lived, will be offered to the world of music enthusiasts. Ben Sims' 'Run It Red' returns for June 2015 with 3 hours of the finest new underground house, techno and electronica including new music from Juan Atkins, Conforce, J.Tijn and more

A new week, a new episode! After almost 15 years of professional career playing in Spain and Portugal, Kristina’s debut as a producer is worldwide introduced in 2015 through the label “Amsafe Records” with TRAXX1 and TRAXX2, the first two Ep's. Her interests and focus during this period was mainly Drum & Bass, Breaks and Electro. Now a days she works in her own vision of the Electronic Music which goes from Techno to US House. The AMSAFE concept and its meaning carries a message: “The need of a spiritual guide that protects us from a material world of hazardous nature and against of the soul development”. Based on different styles and using other formats like CD and vinyls, Kristina exposes and sets up DJ sets built from deconstruction. Break lines or musical concepts are often the pathways of building new ideas to help us understand electronic music. Q&A: Q: So you have been active as a DJ for the last 15 years, what motivated you to take it a step further and start producing? A: The production is something that interested me since I was a teenager, when I became aware of what electronic music was, and in those days it was made basically with machines. I had many imagination, and my head constantly invented sounds and songs, sampling with my mind, but making music was something that felt like an unattainable dream. I used to buy some magazines of music production, (which hardly understand) because I liked watching all these devices, and i wanted to understand how can be created these music that is able to make you fly. But when I started going to parties and clubs, DJs kept all my attention, and when I started to deejing at the end of 1999 ,devoted all my time to this art. 4 years ago I moved to Barcelona, and I thought it was time to make a change, and reach aims postponed. I recieved classes of music production in a school, and later received privates. And that happened until today. So my dream has come true! Q: What inspires you as a producer? A: Now a days what inspires me are positive things. When i feel good and energized, I want to get into the studio and experiment with the music. As I am novice in the field of production and I think that negative emotions stop to me sometimes. I get inspired as well by old electro american records. Also it was really hard to set up my studio and when i wake every day and i look it i feel really inspired. Listening to productions from other artists give me inspiration as well. I like artists such a Kenny Larkin, Boards of Canada, Conforce... Q: Has the launch of your label gained good acceptance? A: Yes. I'm really surprised with the success. Being my first first record i was i bit scared but…the record sells good, and even is sold out in some store like Juno Records. I have received very good feedbacks directly from artists who I respect quite much like Laurent Garnier, Eric Cloutier (Bunker NY) Nina Kraviz, Marcel Dettmann... and support from music lovers worldwide. I really appreciate the warm welcome everybody is giving me. Q: What are your future plans as a DJ and producer? A: Thinking in a close date, as a producer I have just finished The "AMSAFE TRAXX 2", that will be out in a few weeks and include on A side another with a project that I have with a guy called Modellover... So now I can concentrate myself in other requests for other labels. As a DJ I continue with my residence at Macarena club Barcelona, twice a month called "Technologica", focused on the Techno sounds. Q: What else do you enjoy to do when you're not in the studio or behind the decks?
