The Big Ten and the SEC are separating themselves from the NCAA as the association is being sued for billions of dollars for suppressing athletes' revenues.  The power conferences are quickly designing a revenue sharing plan in order to appease the plaintiffs in the House vs NCAA lawsuit scheduled to hit the courtroom in January of 2025.  Frankly, this is something the NCAA should have gotten ahead of years ago.END OF NCAA?Some estimates show the NCAA could lose over 4 billion dollars in this antitrust case.  Athletic directors are being told to budget 15-20 million dollars next year to pay of a verdict if a jury rules against the NCAA.  Some predict this could be the end of the NCAA.PENN STATE OFFENSE LOOKING UP!In football news, Drew Allar loves his receiving crew at Penn State.  That's good news since his leading target from last year recently hit the transfer portal.  And Las Vegas has betting odds for which player will be the number one pick in the 2025 NFL draft.  A Nittany Lion is climbing that list.  Tune in to find out who it is! Purdue lost the NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship to UConn Monday night by a score of 75-60.  Zach Edey scored 37 points in his final game as a Boilermaker.  It was their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament National Championship game since 1969.For Connecticut, it was the school's 6th national title as they became the first school since Florida in 2006 and 2007 to win back to back national championships in men's college basketball.WOMEN'S RATINGS!!We will find out in a few hours, but we are betting for the first time ever, the women's college basketball championship may have earned higher ratings than the men's college basketball championship.  Sunday, during South Carolina's win over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes, an average of 18.7 million people tuned in.  At its peak 24 million people watched.  Wow!A day after we learned John Calipari is leaving Kentucky basketball we also learned that he reportedly talked to the Ohio State Buckeyes about their coaching job vacancy.  It seemed Ohio State basketball was not ready to eat Calipari's 33 million dollar buyout.SPRING FOOTBALL!!Now that college basketball is over it is time to talk college football.  (It's always time to talk college football on Locked on Big 10!). The Wisconsin football team is getting ready for spring football as Luke Fickell starts his second season in charge of the Badgers.  Fickell wants an air-raid offense but he's got to get better play at quarterback.  Tanner Mordecai was not the answer.  The plan for 2024 is to use Miami Hurricanes transfer Tyler Van Dyke to lead the Wisconsin football offense.  Van Dyke is talented but erratic.  Another talented quarterback already on the roster may get a shot at the starting job and that is Braedyn Locke.  He's young but he is talented enough to make a run at the starting gig and that is why this spring is extremely important for everyone involved.  And since Wisconsin basketball is struggling we thought we'd talk about Wisconsin football today.Find out which former Ohio State Buckeyes player is working for former Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers and what he thinks about it. Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers hold their annual Red-White Spring football game soon.  And there will be a lot of pressure on incoming true-freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola who flipped from the Georgia Bulldogs at the last minute to join Nebraska football.  Nebraska football is dying to get to a bowl game, something they haven't done since 2016.  Rhule had a decent Huskers team in his first season in 2023.  But they never could get right at the quarterback position.  That's what makes the new 5-star quarterback Raiola so intriguing.  Does Rhule let him learn under fire as the starter or does he ease the soon-to be 19 year old into the lineup?  We will discuss that here and take your comments.Plus, UCLA football got themselves an NFL offensive coordinator in Eric Bieniemy.  He used to be the running backs coach at UCLA so it's a bit of a homecoming.  But it is still a shame Bieniemy is not a head coach in the NFL.If you live in Ohio (Buckeyes fans) you will not be able to make player prop bets on college players.  Something about the Ohio Casino Control Commission. USC Trojans quarterback Miller Moss debuted with a 6 touchdown performance filling in for Caleb Williams in the Holiday Bowl. It was his first career start. Can he continue with such dominating performances? Spring football for Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans is right around the corner so we may learn a bit more sooner than later. The Michigan Wolverines will look to win their fourth straight Big 10 Championship in 2024. However, as spring football approaches the Michigan football team will look a lot different from 2023. That difference starts with the head coach Sherrone Moore taking over for Jim Harbaugh and his first job is to name departed quarterback JJ McCarthy's replacement. Oh, and about twenty players from the 2023 team will be drafted by the NFL in two months. There should be an ample supply of players ready to step up. Other than that, it's business as usual in Ann Arbor. There is still a lot of talent on this team. Even if they take a step backward in 2024 they may still be good enough to contend for a Big 10 title. Remaining in the state of Michigan, we check in on the 2023 Spartans football coaching staff and report where they all landed following Mel Tucker's departure. It is pretty interesting. We finish by posting our weekly Big 10 men's basketball Power Rankings. The Illinois Fighting Illini are trying to catch the Purdue Boilermakers. Tom Izzo and his Michigan State Spartans are RED HOT! (Even though they lost Tuesday.) Penn State Football started winter workouts last week and Spring Football is around the corner.  James Franklin and his team must revamp their offense if they want to take the next step forward and become an elite program. They are close! Only the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes have been in their way. Good News: There is no Michigan football on their schedule this year as the Big 10 will no longer have divisions. Ohio State is still on the slate and so is Big 10 newcomer USC. The Nittany Lions must add vertical explosiveness to their offensive attack.
