(STINGER: WWE) WWE has lost a top star to a major injury. Bayley will be out of action for approximately 9 months after hurting her knee. WWE said it happened during a training session on Friday. Bayley was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Smackdown Women's Championship in an “I Quit” Match at Money In The Bank. Obviously, that will NOT be happening now. Instead, Belair's title defense will be moved up to next Friday's SmackDown - the first in front of LIVE fans since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her challenger will be Carmella. Now...Carmella was set to be in the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. But she's now out of that match and will be replaced by Liv Morgan. The final two entrants in the men's Money In The Bank match were decided on last night's SmackDown. Seth Rollins qualified by pinning a bloodied Cesaro...and Shinsuke Nakamura is also in after he scored another win over Baron Corbin. At least three women from NXT are joining the SmackDown roster. Shotzi Blackheat & Tegan Nox debuted last night - announced simply as “Shotzi & Nox”. They were the surprise opponents for the WWE Women's Tag Champs Natalya & Tamina...and they got the win. Shotzi pinned Natalya after a senton from the top rope. The third call-up is Toni Storm. A hype video last night announced that she's “coming soon”. Jimmy Uso did appear on last night's SmackDown. He and brother Jey took a beating from Edge and the returning Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the end of the show. Jimmy Uso was arrested and charged with D.U.I. earlier this week. Shotzi pinned Natalya after a senton from the top rope. The third call-up is Toni Storm. A hype video last night announced that she's “coming soon”. Jimmy Uso did appear on last night's SmackDown. He and brother Jey took a beating from Edge and the returning Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the end of the show. Jimmy Uso was arrested and charged with D.U.I. earlier this week. A formal arraignment is scheduled for later this month. We now know that WWE's Extreme Rules pay per view will be held on Sunday, September 26th...at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Major League Wrestling is back in front of live fans Saturday night at the 2300 Arena in bucolic and pastoral South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It's Battle Riot III. The Battle Riot match is a 40-man battle royal with wrestlers entering in 60-second intervals. Eliminations are by pinfall, submission or going out over the top rope to the floor. He showed up to challenge Kushida to a match on next week's NXT. LA Knight's coronation as the new Million Dollar Champion ended with Knight punching out Ted DiBiase. Cameron Grimes ran off Knight and saved DiBiase from the potential of any further harm. Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher beat the Grizzled Young Veterans in a Tornado Tag in last night's main event. Breezango beat Imperium. Tyler Breeze surprised Fabian Aichner with a rollup to get the pin. Imperium got their revenge and laid out Breeze after the match. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's SmackDown will be a special “throwback” edition. As for action in the ring, WWE is promoting Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins. There will be some new names on tonight's 205 Live: Ari Sterling - the former Alex Zayne...and Ikemen Jiro. Amir Jordan is LEAVING NXT UK. That's the result of his loss to Kenny Williams on Thursday's show. A match between Ilja Dragunov and Dave Mastiff ended in a referee stoppage after an elbow from Dragunov struck Mastiff square in the nose. Also, Trent Seven pinned Saxon Huxley, thanks in part to a timely distraction from Sam Gradwell. Next week, there will be a #1 Contender's Gauntlet Match for a shot at Kay Lee Ray's UK Women's title: Isla Dawn vs. Jinny vs. Xia Brookside vs. Emilia McKenzie vs. Dani Luna. Another wrestler, Amale (uh-MEL), was not happy she was left out of this. She attacked Brookside during Thursday's show. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend's Ring Of Honor TV has the ROH in-ring debut of backstage broadcaster Quinn McKay. She'll face Angelina Love. If McKay wins, she is IN the upcoming ROH Women's Title Tournament. Also on the show, The Briscoes vs. EC3 and Flip Gordon...and Brian Johnson will issue an open challenge. (STINGER: Impact) The final three participants are now set for a #1 Contender's match for Kenny Omega's Impact World Championship. The qualifying matches went down last night. Moose beat James Storm. Trey Miguel submitted Rohit Raju. And Chris Sabin got past Rhino. They'll join Sami Callihan, Matt Cardona and Chris Bey in the 6-Way #1 Contender's Match at Under Siege. That's an Impact Plus exclusive show coming up on Saturday, May 15th. Rosemary and Havok will meet next week...with the winner getting a shot at Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo at Under Siege. New Japan's El Phantasmo made his Impact debut...and used his Sudden Death superkick to beat VSK. Also last night, Doc Gallows pinned Juice Robinson...Taylor Wilde beat Susan...and Rachael Ellering pinned Kiera Hogan. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight's New Japan Strong will see Jon Moxley in action. He's tagging with Chris Dickinson against the team of Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita. Mox will defend his IWGP United States Championship against Nagata on next Wednesday's AEW Dynamite. The COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan is being extended...and expanded. The country's Prime Minister is pushing the end date through the end of May. The state of emergency covers areas in and around Tokyo and Osaka...with Aichi and Fukuoka now added to the list. Some of the restrictions on businesses are expected to be eased. The encouraging news for pro wrestling companies in Japan is that the ban on spectators at large sporting events will be scaled back. Attendance will be capped at 5,000 people - or 50% of the venue's capacity. That would be good news for pro wrestling companies, including New Japan - which has a major show in Tokyo Dome on May 29th. Salina de la Renta is leaving MLW. Her final appearance was on last Wednesday's Fusion...when she crossed paths on-screen with the “El Jefe” of Azteca Underground. The man known in Lucha Underground as “Dario Cueto” will get a new name, according to MLW's Court Bauer. (Bauer On Cueto Name) Bauer speaking with Post Wrestling's John Pollock. Bauer says the deal with actor Luis Fernandez-Gil will keep him with MLW “for many years to come”. Bauer was asked about reports of recent talks between MLW and WWE, but he declined to comment. The first match at the Double Or Nothing pay per view was announced last night. Dr. Britt Baker will get her shot at Hikaru Shida's AEW Women's Championship. The challenger for Kenny Omega's AEW Championship will be decided on next week's Dynamite...when the top two ranked contenders go one-on-one: Pac vs. Orange Cassidy. Earlier, Omega bailed on his partner MT Nakazawa...and he took the pin to lose a tag match to Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Miro announced he will challenge Darby Allin for the TNT Championship next week. Earlier, Allin was thrown down a flight of concrete stairs by Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. SCU will get their shot at the Young Bucks' tag titles next week. They won a 4-Way last night to secure that match. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian stated months ago...that their next loss will mean the end for them as a team. Cody Rhodes submitted QT Marshall with the Figure Four. Anthony Ogogo put down Cody with a single punch to gut after the match. AEW's Tony Khan told Busted Open Radio he expects full capacity at Daily's Place for Double Or Nothing. That would be around 5,000 fans. “El Jefe” was finally revealed on last night's MLW Fusion. It is indeed former Lucha Underground figurehead Dario Cueto leading Azteca Underground. He appeared in a prerecorded vignette at the very end of the show...having a chat with the recently abducted Salina de la Renta. (Cueto MLW Reveal) That clip from last night's Fusion. Cueto went on to say he'd “see you” at MLW's show in Philadelphia on July 10th. Another major development on last night's Fusion - Myron Reed reclaimed the MLW Middleweight Championship - avenging his title loss to Lio Rush. MLW retconned Rush's “phantom” AAA Cruiserweight Title win over Laredo Kid from weeks ago - a win that's not recognized by AAA. MLW said Laredo Kid refused to accept the loss, citing video of Rush...perhaps tapping out...earlier in that title match. (STINGER: WWE) A high stakes match on today's NXT UK. Former tag partners Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams in a No Disqualification Match - Loser leaves NXT UK. Also today, Ilja Dragunov vs. Dave Mastiff. Fightful is reporting Daniel Bryan's WWE contract expired following last Friday's SmackDown...where he lost a Universal Title match to Roman Reigns. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor announced the first entrant in its women's title tournament will be 19-year-old independent wrestler, Rok-C. New champions in Dragon Gate!
