On tonight's SmackDown…a tag team title match. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode will defend against the Street Profits. Plus, Rey Mysterio vs. Otis. On Thursday's NXT UK... Isla Dawn pinned Emilia McKenzie...Kenny Williams beat Amir Jordan...and Nathan Frazer beat Saxon Huxley. (STINGER: Impact) New matches added to Impact's Rebellion pay per view on April 25th… Sami Callihan vs. Trey Miguel...in a Last Man Standing Match. Violent By Design vs. Eddie Edwards, Willie Mack, James Storm and Chris Sabin. Another name added to Rebellion - Mauro Ranallo. ESPN's Marc Raimondi broke the news earlier in the day, and Impact later confirmed that Ranallo will be on the call for the main event Title vs. Title match between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann. On last night's Impact, there was a formal press conference to promote the fight - attended by Swann, Omega, Don Callis and even Tony Khan, who promised there will be a definitive winner at Rebellion. (Tony Khan Rebellion Winner) That clip from last night's Impact. Jazz's retirement ceremony last night was interrupted by the Knockouts Tag Champs Fire ‘n Flava. That led to a very quick, impromptu match against Jazz and Jordynne Grace. Jazz pinned Kiera Hogan. Fire ‘n Flava must now defend their titles at Rebellion against Grace and a mystery partner - and it won't be Jazz. She said she'll honor the stipulation from the Title vs. Career match she lost to Deonna Purrazzo. Josh Alexander pinned TJP. Both of those men are already set to challenge X-Division Champ Ace Austin in a 3-way at Rebellion. Brain Myers and Matt Cardona chose each other's opponents on last night's show. Myers beat Jake Something...but Cardona LOST...to Sami Callihan. Also on last night's show we got the official reveal that former Knockouts Champ Taylor Wilde is “returning soon” to Impact. On Before The Impact, Havok beat Nevaeh. That was apparently the end of Nevaeh's run with Impact. (STINGER: ROH) Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett are sticking with Ring Of Honor. The company announced Thursday that both have signed new deals with the company. This weekend's ROH TV is the 500th episode - with Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe in the main event. (STINGER: WWE) Charlotte Flair revealed why she's been missing from WWE TV recently. She tweeted Monday night that she tested positive for COVID-19. Charlotte had challenged the Raw Women's Champion Asuka to a title match at WrestleMania...but Charlotte never got an answer. Last night, Rhea Ripley arrived on Raw...challenged Asuka...and Ripley got the title match at Mania. Ripley's challenge came after Asuka submitted Peyton Royce. More of the WrestleMania card is coming into focus. Randy Orton vs. The Fiend was made official...moments after Orton - who toted a can of gasoline to the ring to “summon” The Fiend - only to be taken down with a Sister Abigail. The Miz will face Bad Bunny one-on-one at Mania. Miz challenged Bad Bunny before he beat Jeff Hardy last night. After the match, Bad Bunny struck Miz from behind with a guitar...and accepted the challenge. Braun Strowman challenged Shane McMahon to a match at Mania...and Shane accepted, adding Braun can pick any match he wants. WWE also locked in SIX matches for Nights 1 and 2 Of Mania Night 1 Lashley vs Drew Banks vs Belair Miz vs Bad Bunny Night 2 Reigns vs Edge Asuka vs Ripley Orton vs. Fiend Last night's Raw was a tough one for The Hurt Business. Drew McIntyre beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a 2-on-1 match. As a result, they're banned from ringside for McIntyre's match against WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Mania. Earlier, Alexander and Benjamin helped Lashley beat Sheamus in a non-title match. Lashley wasn't very happy about that. He was even more upset after they lost to McIntyre. So, Lashley went into the Raw locker room and offered “an opportunity” to anyone who takes out McIntyre. As for Sheamus, he was later interviewed backstage when Riddle interrupted. So, Sheamus attacked him with his own scooter. New details on when WWE's ThunderDome will need to move out of Tampa's Tropicana Field. Spectrum Sports 360's Jon Alba was first to report...WWE's time at the ballpark will end after a SmackDown taping on April 2nd. That likely means the final Raw and SmackDown episodes before WrestleMania will be pre-recorded. Alba added sources are telling him WWE is expected to keep the ThunderDome in the Tampa area - moving to the University of South Florida's Yeungling Center. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight's Impact Wrestling is promoting an appearance by AEW Champion Kenny Omega. Also, TJP gets a chance to win back the X-Division Championship he lost to Ace Austin. Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is in a non-title match against Jazz...and Karl Anderson vs. Eddie Edwards. (STINGER: AEW) On last night's AEW Dark: Elevation…Ryo Mizunami used the Anaconda Vice to submit LEGIT Leyla Hirsch. Red Velvet and Big Swole beat Madi Wrenkowski and Leva Bates. After the match, the winners had a staredown with the trio of Nyle Rose, Vickie Guerrero...and Jade Cargill! Orange Cassidy used the Mouse Trap to pin Ryan Nemeth. After the match, Nemeth attacked Cassidy. Chuck Taylor ran off Nemeth...only to be attacked himself by JD Drake! Also last night, Danny Limelight submitted Baron Black. NWA Powerrr returns tonight. NXT TakeOver: War Games was an amazing night for wrestling. Another solid Takeover show where basically every match delivered. I took a little bit to process this amazing card and to see the news coming out of it. Overall, one of my favorite NXT Takeover shows so far and the WarGames match was handled perfectly for the most part.
