Una empresa que se dedica a enseñarle a las personas a programar y muchos otros skills capitalizables para encontrar trabajo. Coderhouse nació dando clases presenciales en Argentina para personas que querían aprender programación y cambiaron ser completamente remotas justo antes del COVID. Siendo una de las pocas empresas Antifragiles a situaciones como la pandemia. Unos años después, lo que sigue haciendo a Coderhouse único, es que los cursos se hacen con un profesor en un salón de clases virtual, en vivo, lo cual ayuda a que los alumnos completen el curso, comparado con cursos que estan pre-grabados. Hoy, Coderhouse cuenta con más de 200 mil estudiantes y han sido parte de aceleradoras como Y Combinator. Por su parte, Nahuel tiene una carrera que empieza con su deseo de ser diseñador gráfico y da un giro importante para convertise en programador. En esta charla, nos cuenta cómo cualquier persona puede aprender cualquier skill, como la suerte se tiene que buscar, y porque tenemos que seguir invirtiendo en nuestra educación.

En estos días varios jerarcas públicos están anunciando que renunciarán a sus cargos a lo largo de octubre para dedicarse a la campaña electoral. Por ejemplo, ayer el presidente de Antel, Gabriel Gurméndez, se reunión con el presidente Luis Lacalle Pou y la anunció que dejará su cargo a fin de mes para ser uno de los precandidatos del Partido Colorado. En esa colectividad también está previsto que dimita en los próximos días el presidente del Codicen de la ANEP, Robert Silva, del sector Ciudadanos, que también competirá en la interna por ser candidato colorado a la Presidencia. A esa carrera también se sumará el ministro de Turismo, Tabaré Viera, quien ya dijo que se irá del gabinte a principios de 2024, y el director nacional de Telecomunicaciones, Guzmán Acosta y Lara, que se alejará del cargo a fines de octubre. En el Partido Nacional todavía está pendiente la renuncia del secretario de Presidencia, Álvaro Delgado, del sector Aire Fresco, que competirá en la interna, por ahora, con Laura Raffo, que encabeza el movimiento Sumar. Además, el ministro del Interior, Luis Alberto Heber, y el de Desarrollo Social, Martín Lema, ya comunicaron que dejarán sus puestos en marzo del año que viene para dedicarse a la campaña. En el Frente Amplio (FA), el intendente de Canelones, Yamandú Orsi, ya informó que renunciará para ser precandidato en diciembre, luego del congreso programático de la coalición de izquierdas. Todavía resta por conocer cuándo se alejaría la intendenta de Montevideo, Carolina Cosse, que todavía no confirmó oficialmente su precandidatura. El intendente de Salto, Andrés Lima, también aspira a ser precandidato pero tampoco ha notificado la fecha de su renuncia. El otro precandidato del FA, Mario Bergara, continuará en su banca de senador. Buquet planteaba discutir sobre las renuncias para participar en campaña. *** This Halacha deals with topic of Yichud. Yichud is the concept that a man may not be secluded with a forbidden woman. Please read all the Halachot on this topic as there are conditions and exclusions that must be fully understood before accepting Lema'ase. ***We have been reviewing the laws of Yichud, and we have learnt that from the Torah that it is forbidden for a man to be alone with a woman if she is not his wife, mother, daughter, or direct descendant. Furthermore, based on the Rabbinate, it is forbidden for Sephardim to allow one man to be alone with 2 or more women. (Ashkenazim should check with their Rabbi.) We also learned that a wife serves as a Shomeret (protector) when the husband and wife are with another woman. The wife's presence enables her husband to be there for he would not obviously then commit a transgression. So the question was asked if whether or not a mother, grandmother, granddaughter or sister would qualify as a protector. According to the Halacha, a mother, grandmother, granddaughter, great-granddaughter etc., would all qualify as protector and their presence would permit their male relative to be alone with another woman. A sister however, would not qualify. The question was then asked if a man may be alone with 2 women who are not related to him, but where the 2 women are mother and daughter. Or what about where the 2 women are grandmother and granddaughter? According to Halacha, it is forbidden, and a non-related man may not be alone with these ladies. To review, a wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, and grandmother all qualify as protector and their presence enables the man to be alone with another woman. A sister does not qualify. Furthermore, a man may not be alone with 2 women, even when the 2 women are mother and daughter.

Please read all the Halachot on this topic as there are conditions and exclusions that must be fully understood before accepting Lema'ase. ***We learnt in a previous Halacha how to get around the laws of Yichud in an automobile. We determined that it would be permissible for a man and a forbidden lady to be alone in a car as long as there are motorists or pedestrians about, who can see through the windows into car. This method can be relied on even in a car that has tinted windows, for the windshield is never opaque and others can always see through the windshield into the car.The question was asked about other types of vehicles where a man and forbidden lady would be alone in the back and not be visible through a window. This is common in limousines, and can also occur in an ambulance. In limousines, the driver is in the front and can be seen through the windshield, but the passengers in the rear can not be observed through the windshield, nor can they be seen through dark tinted windows. Likewise, in an ambulance the driver can be seen, but the occupants in the rear can not be seen. In both cases it is quite probable that the driver is male and one of the passengers is male thus creating a condition of 2 males and one female. Additionally, there is a partition that separates the driver and his passengers which essentially creates a private area for the rear passengers. So, would such a seclusion in these cases be considered a problem of Yichud? We are talking about a case where the husband is not with the lady in the back. If the husband is with her then of course there would be no problem and no question. According to the Halacha, it is permissible for a man and forbidden lady to be alone in the back of the limousine or ambulance. Let's discuss the reason and logic that supports this permission. The driver that is in the front of the vehicle is not in the Yichud area for he is by the windshield and people outside the car can see him. And since this driver is not subject to Yichud, so he himself then serves as protector against improprieties among the rear passengers. He has the ability to see the rear. The rear occupants would not behave indecently for fear the driver would be witness to any inappropriate actions and then speak of the activities to others. This leniency even applies when there is a partition blocking the driver's view, because the driver has a control switch that enables him to lower the partition and see the rear at any time. To review, there is room to be lenient in the case of Yichud and a limousine or ambulance. It is permissible for a man and forbidden lady to be alone together in the back even if there are tinted opaque windows, and even if there is a partition separating them from the driver. It is permissible so long as the driver can be seen from the outside, and so long as he has control to lower the partition and view the rear.

Unfortunately many of the leniencies and ways around Yichud that we have been discussing can not apply in places of business. In offices and the like, one can not rely on the leniency of Bal'Ala Ba'Ir. Ba'Ala Bair is a way around Yichud whereby a lady can be with alone with a man so long as her husband is nearby in town. She is protected by the fear and possibility that her husband may come to her at any moment. However, in an office this leniency does not apply. Furthermore, we learned that according to Sephardim, Yichud is negated once there are three women and three men. But in the case of an office, three men and women still violates Yichud laws. These ways around Yichud are not applicable in an office because work colleagues develop personal and close relationships. They develop an acquaintance level and bondness that we refer to as ‘Gasba.' Such friendships can become dangerous, and therefore the laws of Yichud at a place of business are tougher to usurp. However, there are ways to alleviate the Yichud problem in the office. Some are as follows:1) If an inner office door remains unlocked, and it is expected that others would frequently come on in unannounced, then such would be a way to allow a man and forbidden lady to be alone. It must be noted though that the outer office door must be open and accessible to anyone.2) Many offices these days have a buzzer system that unlocks the outer door and allows visitors to enter. This type of secure locked entry then disallows use of the leniency mentioned above. If the front door is locked, then the entire office staff would be in dilemma. If the front door is secured, then unlocking the inner office doors would not lend itself towards a leniency. The only way to allow men and women to work together in an office secured by a locked front door, would be if outsiders possessed keys and entry codes, and if those outsiders actually gained entry regularly. It's not enough in this case for these outsiders to come in sporadically. The staff must be aware of the definite possibility that others may come in at any moment and be witness to an impropriety. 3) It would be permissible for seclusion among men and women in an office, if a video surveillance camera is in operation and being monitored by security personnel. Being watched and possibly even recorded would serve as deterrent to a tempted person. Reliance on this method with a video camera can even be used in an office with locked secured front door4) A transparent window in the office can also alleviate the problem of Yichud. Outsiders having the ability to see indecent behavior through the window would also be regarded as a reason for restraint among tempted personsBut again, one has to be very very careful in regards to the work place. Both men and women must be vigilant and avoid forbidden seclusion. One should check in advance if the office provides means to get around the problem of Yichud. As we said, the laws of Yichud are far stricter in the office environment than at home and other places.

Her presence enables the man and woman to be secluded and not violate the laws of Yichud. Some opinions even are lenient to say that a girl as young as 5 and as old as 12 can qualify to be a protector. She is eligible as long as she is mature enough to understand what is going on, but young enough not to fall prey to lure and persuasion. Her possible tale to others is the deterrent to the adults, and serves as the incentive for them to abstain from illicit behaviorHalacha says that this applies also by a minor male. A boy between the age of 7 and 10 qualifies as protector for the same reasons. Additionally, he can be as young 6 and as old 13 if his maturity warrants. So the same rule applies for a boy and a girl.The Tzitz Eliezer (Rav Eliezer Waldenberg ) points out that this rule applies as well with one's children. They can serve as the Shomer (or Shomeret.) Some even say that one's own children are the best type of minor protectors, as a parent would be more reluctant to commit transgression when his own children are present. In a previous Halacha we discussed legal ways for a husband to be secluded in the house with a housekeeper. It's permissible if the wife is in town and the husband leaves the door unlocked. It's permissible if the wife is in town and she has a key, and is able to come home unexpectedly at any time. It's permissible if someone else has a key who from time to time enters unexpectedly. And it's permissible, if the wife is expected back momentarily. The new lesson we learn today, permits a husband to be secluded in a house when his son or daughter are there and they are of the ages discussed above. He can be there with the housekeeper under such a condition even if his wife is out of town and not expected back soon.So to review, according to Halacha, a boy or girl qualify as protector and enable a man and woman to be secluded. The boy and girl protect the adults from possibly engaging in any improprieties. The age of the youngsters vary based on their maturity but generally range from 5 through 9, and even up to 12. This Halacha applies all the more so to one's own children. And lastly, a good application of this exclusion to Yichud permits a husband to be secluded with the maid when his kids are in the house as well. This exclusion works even when his wife is out of town.

One of the conditions we have been discussing is called ‘Ishto Imo'. Meaning, the rules of Yichud would not apply when one's wife is present. So the question is asked if whether or not a young girl can qualify if she is there and enable seclusion among a man and woman. Can a man and woman be secluded if a young girl is with them?The Gemara discusses this in Kidushin. And Maran brings it down in Shulchan Aruch and says [listen to the audio clip for the exact quote] that if there is a young girl present, it is then permissible for a man and lady to be secluded. What age is considered young? The Poskim say this ranges from 5 years old until 9 years old. At this age she can be considered a Shomeret (a watchful and protecting person.) The logic is, that a girl within this age range would talk of an incident that is out of the ordinary. Within that age range she would understand that something peculiar was going on. But a girl above that age range might be lured to temptation and persuaded to transgress, and then most likely conceal the tale of the improprieties. So Halacha Lema'ase, if a girl ranging in age from 5 through 9 is with them, a man and lady may then be secluded, even if the door is locked, and even if the blinds are closed. But if the girl is older than the age of 9, she then does not protect them, and the man and lady may not rely on the girl to enable them to be alone. Once the girl is older than 9, she then knows enough, and she might get into trouble herself.
