We're back with another episode of DW:60! Sorry for the extended absence, but we'll explain all of that during the show. We've got new about the DAS program, Phineas and Ferb, MNSSHP, and a new Disney Park!
Send us a textStep into the spooky side of Disney as we raise our Coney Negronis and dive deep into the most ghoulishly delightful events on both coasts. Having braved torrential Florida downpours at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and researched the increasingly popular Oogie Boogie Bash, we're sharing everything you need to know before booking your Halloween Disney adventure. Our Mickey's Not-So-Scary experience at Magic Kingdom was unforgettable—even with rain so heavy it created rivers on walkways! We discovered the perfect rainy-night hack: washcloths in shoes to absorb moisture, and the undeniable value of both ponchos AND umbrellas for those notorious sideways Florida storms. Disney made it right with a complimentary Park Hopper pass, proving that even at their spookiest, the parks still deliver on magic.Dressed as Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc., we experienced firsthand how costumes enhance the celebration. Cast members saluted us, the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor interactive show acknowledged our presence, and we collected enough candy to last months. The late-night advantage can't be overstated—when families with young children depart around 9pm (especially at Disneyland), you might find yourself enjoying multiple consecutive rides on Splash Mountain with no wait! The Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure sounds particularly compelling with its interactive treat trails featuring villains who engage directly with guests, the atmospheric Villain's Grove walkthrough, and the delightfully sinister Frightfully Fun Parade. While the food offerings at both events left something to be desired, the entertainment, character interactions, and dramatically reduced wait times make these events worth every penny of their $119-$199 price tags. With Oogie Boogie Bash tickets going on sale soon (31 dates starting August 17th this year!), now's the time to decide which coast will host your Disney Halloween adventure. Take our advice: if weather is a concern, California's your best bet—but wherever you celebrate, these parties deliver a frightfully fun experience that regular park days simply can't match. Ready to make your spooky Disney dreams come true? These events sell out fast, so start planning now! Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Disney announced more details on the Story Living Community in California and it seems like they are making a play to capitalize on the aging Disney adult population. Plus, Walt Disney World announced its lineup for this year's Jollywood Nights. We've officially entered Spooky Season and to celebrate we're joined by our friends Jennifer and Keifer to discuss their recent trip to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, they still were able to check almost everything off of their to-do list. Jennifer and Keifer come with all of the deets on the candy, shows and parades at MNSSHP. Then we head up the street to HHN, where they were absolutely blown away by the entertainment and quality of the houses and scare zones. Everything sounded like so much fun, that now we're even sadder we won't be visiting Florida this Halloween season. But there's always next year! You can follow Jennifer on Instagram @princess_woodruff. Submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, or MNSSHP if you're in the know, is a fun event during the spooky season in Florida. But because it's in Florida, that means it doesn't always go as planned. We had tickets to this special-ticketed event at Magic Kingdom a week or so ago and, while we did have fun, it was a reminder that Florida weather can and most likely will impact your park plans. Just remember to go with the flow and you'll still have a frighteningly good time.----Adventures & Mousecapades is a passion project from Alicea & Nathan Novak - two Seattleites addicted to The Mouse. The DMSW Podcast: Talking all things Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars
Right off the bat, I apologize for the audio quality for my portion of the interview with my daughter Sydney. I did not realize my podcast mic had not connected properly so our entire hour plus interview my audio was only recorded from the mic built into the laptop and you can here the drop in quality from what I normally try to bring to the table here on this podcast, and I did not want to make my daughter have to re-record everything that we had just talked about a second time. The good news is that my guest this week is my daughter Sydney and I am so happy to get her back on the show again. You have heard her voice many times mixed into some of the comedy skits I have done, so it was so fun to get her back on for a full interview episode. We just had a father/daughter 1 on 1 trip down to WDW, and this episode today is just part 1. For this episode we cover our reasons for doing this trip, the travel down, our first day in the Disney bubble, and the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Thanks to everyone that sent in some questions for Sydney to answer on this episode!Follow and Interact with the show on Instagram...@thedmswpodcastFollow and Interact with the show on Facebook...Facebook PAGE for The DMSW PodcastSend the show an email...thedmswpodcast@gmail.com
