Will Connolly aka Egg Boy made worldwide headlines in 2019 when he cracked an egg on the back of former Senator Fraser Anning's head. Life for the then teenager has never been the same since that infamous day. In their chat, Will shares with Matt the reason behind the egg incident, what he is up to these days and if he has any regrets about the egg attack.

Two years after cracking an egg on the bald head of an Aussie politician who made anti-Muslim statements on the same day as the Christchurch mosque attacks, the teenager known as 'Egg Boy' is harnessing his fame to raise money for good causes. Seventeen years old at the time, Melbourne teenager Will Connolly was so outraged about the comments the next day he rode his bike to a planned appearance by the senator. Egg Boy is now helping raise money for New South Wales communities hit hard by last year's bush fires, none of which would be possible he says, if it were not for the egging.

Caro's grumpy this week about the shoddy clean up by NBN contractors in her neighbourhood and we pay tribute to June Dally-Watkins who died recently aged 92. ROAST POTATOES (ala Susie Rogers Wilson). Choose your potatoes (Corrie likes Deseree or Chat) wash them then boil for 15-20 minutes in salted water until they are softish (but still slightly firm). Cut into halves so you have a flat bottom to place flat on the baking tray or dish. Make a series of close slits accross the top of the potatoes, then drizzle / brush generously with olive oil. Sprinkle on plenty of salt and chopped rosemary. Roast for 45 minutes at around 180 degrees C. Don't Shoot The Messenger is produced, engineered and edited by Jane Nield for Crocmedia.SPICY CHILLI BEANS2 tablespoons olive oil1 brown onion, finely chopped1 red capsicum, cut into 1cm pieces4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced1 tablespoon ground cumin1 teaspoon smoke paprika400g can chopped tomatoes1 tablespoon tomato paste400g can lentils, rinsed and drained400g can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained425g can black beans, rinsed and drainedSea salt and cracked black pepperHeat the olive oil in a large heavy-based saucepan (cast iron if possible) over medium heat. Add the onion and capsicum and cook, stirring often for 3-4 minutes or until softened.Add the garlic, cumin, paprika, tomatoes, tomato paste and 200ml of water and stir to combine. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.Add the lentils, kidney beans and black beans and stir to combine. Continue simmering for 20minutes to bring the flavours together, stirring from time to time. Add a little extra water if it becomes dry. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Suggest serving with sweet potato and avocado.

The Proud Boys who acted in self defence against Antifa leaving an event in New York last year are now on trial on politically motivated charges. No Antifa “victims” have come forward so New York authorities are prosecuting crimes with no victims. The Senate voted against a One Nation motion for the Australian people to have a say on immigration numbers. There is bi-partisan support for even more immigration to prop up the Australian economy. The Hong Kong-China dispute has continued to spill over into Australia. A protest against the University of Queensland's Chinese Communist Party supported Confucius Institute took place on its campus Wednesday. In a sign of desperation opponents labelled it a racist and white nationalist rally. Refugees rallied in Canberra against being on temporary protection and bridging visas. They've got quite a nerve coming to Australia illegally then demanding we provide them extra benefits. Raising the Newstart unemployment benefit has been a topic of debate recently in Australian politics. It was notable this week for now having the support of former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, who claimed he was broke raising two families on his 211k salary. President Trump was accused of being racist again by describing Baltimore as rat infested, this was because black people live in the city. But he was only stating what has been said about the shithole of Baltimore, including by Democrats for the past 20 years. The Democrat Presidential candidates had another round of debates on CNN. Tulsi Gabbard is easily the best candidate and she destroyed one of the front runners Kamila Harris on her record as a state prosecutor in California. As a result she is called the Russian candidate. Other news has been actor Mario Lopez apologizing for saying that 3 year olds shouldn't gender transition. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stating they will only have two children for the sake of the planet. There has also been more migrant problems in Europe with a young boy pushed in front of train in Germany, a burqa wearning woman abusing gay men marching in LGBT pride in England and LGBT violent hate crimes on the rise in France. Egg Boy has donated close to $100,000 to a Christchurch charity. While I am glad that he decided to donate the money, I am not happy that GoFundMe is facilitating acts of political violence.

Today, I will share the news about “egg throwing”. When I came to Australia the first time, I heard, every year, high school students throw an egg to an Asian from the car during the school's graduation holiday. Some people say it's true, some don't. I've never seen such an act on the street. It might be superstitious. But people throw the egg. Look back the history. It is known for “Bush dodging shoe”. After 9/11, U.S. president George W Bush was at the conference with Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki. The journalist Muntadhar Al Zaidi throw his both shoe to the president Bush. He answered in the interview by the Real News “I'm a man of peace, not a man of war, I was exposing the occupation with my pen, however, I didn't think my pen was reaching the world.” As a consequence of the act, that made people think why the young journalist risked his life to resist the government. Here is another case, so far my favorite politician Arnold Schwarzenegger, who got an egg on the shoulder while walking out to give a speech during his special-election run to replace Gray Davis as governor of California in 2003. His supporters touched him during walking. In a few seconds, he took off the jacket and stepped on the stage. After the speech, Arnie cracked a joke. “This guy owes me bacon now. Because there's no two ways about it. You can't just have eggs without bacon.” Love it, Arnie. He stated one more important point. “This is just all part of the free speech. It's great to see this people here screaming out. Imagine you are in some communist state or some dictatorship, you couldn't do that. This is why I love this country. Freedom of speech that's what creates the ultimate democracy. Back here in Australia, last month, the teenager interrupted a press conference by the independent Queensland senator Fraser Anning, who had blamed the terrorist attack on Muslim immigration, by cracking an egg on the politician's head. Then, Fraser Anning hit the boy's face, He was knocked down on the floor. Anning's supporter has been charged with assault for allegedly kicking the boy. In the Interview, he explained his act. “After that tragedy in Christchurch. The world should be supporting all those victims with giving them love and passion. The senator released a statement which was pretty much divisive hate speech, blaming the victims for the attack. And I was just flat-out disgusted.” Egg boy got many support world widely. Got NBA Player Ben Simon's basketball shoes. Lifetime of supply beer in Canada. Egg Boy founding made a big money for the victims of the Christchurch. If I had any chance to plank One Nation's senator, I would. Here is Fraser Anning's comment. “Real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place...Muslims may have been the victims today, usually, they are the perpetrator” This guy has a real issue. They don't want to leave their country. They were exiled by cause which Iraq war occurred. Think about it. But, the Australian government may have made some problem toward Muslim society. How about Manus Island? When Sharrouf's children are back? Yesterday, a young woman attempted throwing an egg on PM Scott Morison's head. But failed. She told to the reporter “[He]Desrved it” This incident reminds you the Egg Boy, but how could she throw the egg to Scott Morison? One lady was slipped on the floor at that time and Scott Morison helped her to stand and cheer her up. His policy might irritate some people but he is not a hateful person. If you want to throw the egg, think about the reason. Do you really need it? What would you say if you are asked? EggThrowing.mp3
