Coming Down the Pipe... [0:00] - The Intro for Season 20 of The Pipeline Show [1:12] - Guy kicks the week off by looking at which teams are riding the hottest streaks right now as the playoffs get closer and closer. WHL, OHL, QMJHL, AJHL, BCHL, USHL and NCAA. [14:42] - This week's episode of The Pipeline Show only has one guest but we're going two full segments with Sam Cosentino. In this first segment we'll discuss the changing landscape of junior hockey in North America including NCAA rule change, the impact on various junior leagues, Penticton Vees leaving the BCHL and getting an expansion team for the WHL next year, where does the USHL fit in all of this...and more! [40:04] - In Part 2 of the hour with Sportsnet hockey analyst Sam Cosentino, we're talking almost exclusively about the WHL notables for the Class of 2025. First some thoughts on Matthew Schaeffer who, despite being limited to just 17 games with the Erie Otters and 2 with Canada's WJC team, has seen his stock RISE to be the #1 ranked player in the draft. Then it's all about the WHL including thoughts on Lynden Lakovic, Roger McQueen, Radim Mrtka, Jackson Smith, Braeden Cootes, Cole Reschny, Blake Fiddler, Ben Kindel and more.
Details are scarce but, as expected, the Erie Otters have parted ways with head coach Stan Butler. The decision comes after the team conducted an internal investigation, but both Dan and Farwell feel a little more information is required. Feel free to weigh in on the discussion at ohlpodcast@rogers.com. You'll also get your Wraparound this week with a new definition that answers the question, "what's better than a hat trick?" And in case you hadn't already noticed, there's a team in the Eastern Conference that's found its way after a brutally tough start. The OHL Podcast is supported by Draft Kings Sportsbook.

Rob Hisey would go on to play for the Erie Otters and the Barrie Colts en route to a 14-year pro career that included a championship in Austria. And Hisey's legend lives on, online. Just pop his name into YouTube and see unthinkable goals like this from the OHL's skills competition in 2005, or Hisey's personal favourite, this OT winner in Germany. Today, Hisey is coaching his kids, who might be in the OHL before long. Not long after that, Hisey might find his way behind an OHL bench...The OHL Podcast is presented by Matt Smith Goaltending.
