But then Poli returned to the Eurovision Song Contest with a BANG! "If love was a crime" achieved Bulgaria's best-ever result at the contest being Number 4 which was bettered a year later by Kristian Kostov as he came second. In 2015, Poli was the Host of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Sofia, Bulgaria and as a musician she also released a number of songs and has been involved in a few projects. Tadeusz Cisłak and Benjamin Windibank guide you through all of RTVE and the EBU's latest announcements about the upcoming 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid. We have a slogan, some theme art and seventeen participating countries!
Jänner in München. 2016 wurde sie mit "If Love Was A Crime" Vierte. Jänner in München. Poli Genova nahm 2011 in Düsseldorf erstmals für Bulgarien teil. 2016 versuchte sie es nochmals und "If Love Was A Crime" und ihre Erfahrung von 2011 trug erfolgreiche Früchte und sie erreichte nicht nur das Finale sondern 4. Platz. Sam Ryder, Mr. Lordi, Teya and Poli Genova discuss writing for Eurovision, how it impacts their creative process, and how they handle nerves on stage. Sam Ryder was inspired to get into music after seeing Sum 41 in concert when he was 11. He took up the guitar after seeing Lordi win Eurovision in 2006, and was also influenced by David Bowie and Queen. He co-founded a band called The Morning After, and during the first Covid lockdown he started posting cover songs on TikTok, which caught the attention of Elton John, Justin Bieber and Alicia Keys. One of the songs he wrote during the pandemic was called Space Man; it went on to be the UK's 2022 Eurovision entry, finishing second behind Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra. Mr. Lordi is the lead singer and costume maker of Finnish heavy metal group Lordi. The monster mask-wearing band won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with Hard Rock Hallelujah. Poli Genova's music career began aged 4, as a member of the children's ensemble Bon-Bon. Since then, she's represented Bulgaria at Eurovision twice, has appeared as a coach or mentor on The Voice of Bulgaria and X Factor Bulgaria, has had three #1 singles, and hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Teya is one half of Teya & Salena, the first-ever female duo to compete for Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest. They're entering this year's competition with a song about being possessed by the ghost of Edgar Allen Poe.
Introducing Jordan Anthony, a young singer/songwriter all the way from Perth, Western Australia in his LA performance debut! Jordan is a vocal powerhouse that captured the hearts of the Nation when at the age of only 14 he became the youngest finalist ever in the history of the series to make the Top 4 in the 2019 season of The Voice Australia. Following the Voice, Jordan was selected to represent Australia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with his original song ‘We Will Rise'. From a young age Jordan Anthony had an ear for music and a passion for singing. Writing music from the age of seven, Jordan used money from busking to fund and independently release his first album ‘One Word' in 2018 and has a passion to share his experiences with others through his music. With a passion to act as the voice of his generation, Jordan is consistently growing his skills on the piano, guitar and songwriting, taking inspiration from his idols Guy Sebastian, Calum Scott, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Sam Smith & Shawn Mendes. His personal lyrics provide insight into his experiences of bullying, heartbreak and loss. His 2020 Independent release ‘Broken Love' is nearing 400,000 streams on Spotify and earlier this year Jordan released ‘Higher', a track about his close knit community of family and friends and a reminder that they are a continual part of his journey, who are there for the highs and the lows. He says of this community and the song: “None of what I've achieved would have been possible without them and I think the song reflects that. It's a song that everyone has the ability to relate to and it's a message that I think should be heard." Jordan's powerful voice and song writing continues to grow from strength to strength. He is currently working on a catalogue of tracks with the view to refine these and release an EP within the next twelve months and take his music career to the next level.
