Mikä teatteriharrastuksessa on haastavinta? Entä, mikä on parasta?

Plenty of news came out of practice Monday for the Dallas Stars and the most intriguing storyline is Chris Tanev. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey goes over Tanev and the immigration process that may keep him out of tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks. If Tanev does join the team and is inserted into the lineup, where does he fit. The Stars and Head Coach Pete DeBoer can experiment some, but they have less than 20 games to figure out what works best. Joey would like to see Tanev paired with Heiskanen to put Miro on his strong side, plus spread the wealth with Thomas Harley to another partner. The key however, is to break up Jani Hakanpaa and Esa Lindell who have the worst expected goals against rate of all pairings. We also touch on the news of Tyler Seguin skating once again and the possibility is Evgenni Dadanov being out for the season. Then we preview tonight's game against the Sharks. The beginning of a three game west coast trip begins against the Sharks that took Dallas the distance a few days ago. Joey's key to the game is Mason Marchment and Matt Duchene finding a way to be productive without Tyler Seguin. DeBoer has struggled to found someone to fill that role and he expects those two to drive the line back to success. Marchment is without a point in his last five. Finally the last segment we play shooting star! Today's pick is the young rookie Logan Stankoven, Joey has not picked Stanky yet, so he goes bold and predicts a Hat Trick at the tank! On today's episode of Locked On Stars, we start with ESPN's Best NHL Defensemen in 2024. For what seems like the first time in his career, Miro Heiskanen is ranked right where he should be. He's certainly not played up to the level of Cale Makar or Quinn Hughes this season, but as an all around defensemen he's one of the best. He comes in at #3 in this year's ranking behind those two and ahead of Adam Fox and Charlie Mcavoy. This is a great sign due to the fact Heiskanen is having a down year offensively. His skill set other than just his point production are putting the league on notice! The Dallas Stars face the Ottawa Senators tonight in game three of a four game road trip. The Sens have not had a good year and the Stars won in the first matchup. Dallas needs a win on this road trip and this is their best shot. Also, Joey gives his crack at another Shooting Star, he has been perfect since All-Star weekend, can he do it again? The final segment looks at the Stanley Cup odds for the Dallas Stars. As it currently sits, the Stars have the 3rd best odds to win the Stanley Cup according to The Athletic. Do you believe that is too high, too low or just right?? The Dallas Stars lost in a shootout Monday afternoon, but outplayed one of the best teams in the NHL while shorthanded. The Stars were without Miro Heiskanen, Matt Duchene, Jani Hakanpaa and Nils Lundkvist against the Bruins. Joey explains, despite the loss, how the version we saw of the Stars in this game was one that can win the Stanley Cup. They played with an edge, were physical and rose to the challenge in a game they really should have no business being in. Thomas Harley stepped up and played over 29 minutes, Ryan Suter pitched in a goal and forced the Bruins to score a 6 on 5 goal late to send it to overtime. Bruins won the game in a shootout that went 9 rounds. Injuries are starting to pile up in an already thin defensive group. Derrick Pouliot and Alexander Petrovic were recalled from the Texas Stars to fill in for Heiskanen and Hakanpaa. Pouliot and Petrovic have over 200 games of experience in the NHL and played really well for just jumping into the fire. This is a time for the Stars to flex the depth they have and pick up points along the way. The final segment we take a look at the adversity the Stars are dealing with this season and how that can be used moving forward. A team that has been very healthy the past few seasons is running into some bumps. How it effects the trade deadline and leverage for the Stars who are down two right handed defensemen. The burning question of today's episode of Locked On Stars is are the Dallas Stars frauds?? The Stars are off to a phenomenal start this season, heading into the All-Star Break they have 66 points through 49 games and find themselves fifth in the NHL. They have the 3rd best offense scoring 6.68 goals per game and flex that in the majority of their wins this season, but their are underlying issues. The Stars are one of three teams ranked in the top 10 in points this season, out of the top 10 in goals against per game and save percentage, usually categories Stanley Cup teams are very good in. Jake Oettinger has certainly not played his best hockey and if finds his rhythm the Stars will be very dangerous. Joey explains his reasoning behind the question and why might some people lean one side of the aisle versus the other. What is your answer to the question? The conversation then switches to the dominance of Miro Heiskanen and Thomas Harley. Harley has 12 goals this season after two on Saturday including his 3rd OT winner of the season, and Heiskanen has three points in his first two games back from injury. Joey then seaways into his thoughts on the Capitals game and once again how the Stars struggle to close out teams. This time surrendering two goals with under 5 minutes to push the game to overtime. The final segment revolves around Logan Stankoven of the Texas Stars. He becomes the first player in the NHL season to hit 50 points. He's on a four game point streak with four goals in his last five games including an OT winner. He will head to the AHL All-Star game along fellow teammates Mavrik Bourque and Matej Blumel. This is quickly becoming one of the best pairings in all of hockey and you could see why last night. Miro was rusty after 3 weeks off, but was really active in the game and did not miss a beat, Harley continues to impress and made plays all over the rink. Having Nils Lundkvist back in the lineup allows for more versatility on the defensive pairings for Head Coach Pete DeBoer and allows Harley and Heiskanen to play together. All of that leads to good things for the Dallas Stars. However, the Stars had some sloppy moments that cost them in the game. We try to answer at points this season why the Stars do not look connected as a team. When the game becomes chaotic and out of structure, the Stars really seem to struggle and therefore surrender more opportunities. It's important for the Stars to have good puck management and not allow the game to get away from the style they would like to play to be successful. The final segment revolves around Jake Oettinger, Joey states he is not worries about Oettinger come playoff time because he has shown he can elevate his play in the biggest moments. He also realizes that Otter's numbers have slipped this season and from his perspective not as comfortable in the crease. The great thing is the Stars are still winning and are top 10 in the NHL this season, that could mean great things if Otter finds his game, but could lead to problems if he doesn't. Roope Hintz is having another spectacular season for the Dallas Stars and is the most underrated player in the NHL. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey explains why Hintz is so impactful for the Stars and why he maybe gets forgotten about playing along Jason Robertson and Matt Duchene's immediate impact. A complete 200 foot player that thrives in his own zone just as much as he does offensively, at some point he will crack the top 10 in Selke voting. With all the shake ups in the lines this season or even in years past, one thing stays the same, Hintz is the top line center. He drives the line with his speed and makes his line-mates better. The next segment revolves around the Anaheim Ducks, Miro Heiskanen scored twice in the matchup which was the 3rd game of the season for the Stars. Heiskanen may return after not playing since Jan. 4th, but the Stars should have no trouble with a team that ranks one of the worst in the league this season. Finally, the podcast finishes off with an update on the Texas Stars. The month of January has been one to forget so far, the Stars have only won one game and on a six game losing streak leading into last night's game. Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven are still productive, goaltending and defense has led to many of their issues lately and hope to get back on track.Follow Joey on Twitter: twitter.com/joeythejet19Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

The Dallas Stars battled over the weekend to take three out of the possible four points after a tough overtime loss to the New York Islanders last night. Jake Oettinger was out with the flu, so Scott Wedgewood had to make back to back starts and went save for save against Ilya Sorokin who's one of the best goalies in the NHL. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey recaps the weekend games between New York and New Jersey including the Stars great ability to bounce back after bad games. Wyatt Johnston, Jason Robertson, and Roope Hintz have provided a spark as a new line and thriving the more they play together. Even when the Stars are fatigued, they're finding way to muster up enough energy and effort to at least earn themselves a point. Nils Lundkvist returned to the lineup after Miro Heiskanen went down with an injury and he has made the most out of his return. He seems to be a lot more confident and poised with the puck. Also, he's using his legs and mobility to generate offense, he finished last night with four shots on goal and scored his 2nd of the season. The Stars would have to feel much better about their defense if Lundkvist is an every day player when Miro returns. Joey states that you have to accept that he will be out muscled and make mistakes here and there, but the improvements are promising. To finish off the episode, we revisit the possibility of Heiskanen joining the team on the road trip. He has yet to travel with the team, but he is inching closer everyday to return. Joey thinks having him back in the lineup against the Ducks on Thursday would be a gentle introduction back and set himself up nicely at home with a few more days of rest. Having Miro back will do wonders for the Stars in all facets of the game.Follow Joey on Twitter.com: twitter.com/joeythejet19Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey proves and explains how the Dallas Stars have been outscoring their problems over the last month. With injuries to Jake Oettinger and Miro Heiskanen the already glaring problem of the Stars has been exposed in certain games. However, the offense led by Matt Duchene and Jason Robertson has kept the team a float. Joey highlights how the Stars lead the NHL in Goals Per Game and Goals For since Dec. 15. They are 16th in Goals Against and are having to score three or four goals most nights to win hockey games. It's not a bad thing that the depth of Dallas such as Mason Marchment and Tyler Seguin are having great seasons, but the Stars have to improve in their own end to reach their ultimate goal at the end of the season. The next segment is a preview of tonight's game with the Los Angelas Kings who had been winless in eight straight heading into yesterdays game. Cam Talbot who's having a resurgence for the Kings will be in net looking to end a losing streak of himself. It will be important that the Stars weather the storm in the first 10 minutes of the game in what should be a great test against a quality team in the Western Conference. The final segment is the return of Shooting Star! For tonight's game Joey goes with Thomas Harley. It's been 10 games without a goal for Harley who has stepped up in the absence of Heiskanen, so look for Harley to have a big night and lead the Stars to victory over the Kings.Follow Joey on Twitter: twitter.com/joeythejet19Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

The Dallas Stars young defensemen Thomas Harley has been a huge relief for the backend this season. With Miro Heiskanen going down a few games ago, the defense is in a venerable state. However, Harley is playing some of his best hockey of the season and Joey tells you why on today's episode of Locked On Stars. Pete DeBoer is utilizing at 5 on 5 since the absence of Miro, he leads the team with just under 59 minutes of time on ice at even strength. Plus the Stars have a 75.3 % xG share when he's on the ice, highest on the team. He has made such an impact and with Miro out, it allows him to establish himself as the player that deserves just as much as time as Heiskanen is getting. Next, the Stars have the tough task of trying to beat a team again after doing so a few nights before. The Minnesota Wild are in Dallas tonight looking for revenge. The Wild could start their AHL call up and first round pick Jesper Wallstedt who has been awaiting his first career NHL start. With the Wild down a lot of bodies they may look for a spark like the Stars did with Matt Murray who of course shutout the Wild on Monday night. To finish the show, Joey discusses the possibility of Jake Oettinger returning, with Matt Murray being loaned to the AHL yesterday, that could mean Otter is back or they are trying to save cap space once again. Either way, all signs are pointing that Oettinger is close and could be back as early as the weekend which will be a delight to Stars fans everywhere.Follow Joey on Twitter: twitter.com/joeythejet19Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Owen and Patrick break down this Dallas lineup and speak on how Dallas has grown a legit Stanley Cup contender with a super balanced lineup.
