American antitrust laws were designed to stop companies from wielding the power of kings. But in the 1970s, a legal scholar named Robert Bork convinced Washington to ignore those laws. Host Cory Doctorow traces how Bork's influence gave digital giants like Amazon a decades-long free pass to dominate markets, crush competitors, exploit their own business clients, and treat users like hostages — and how, after 40 years of inaction, former FTC chair Lina Khan took on the fight to rein in monopoly power. Guests in this episode include Michael Wiesel, Lina Khan, and Clive Thompson. Archival recordings feature Robert Bork.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/27/2025): 3:05pm- After the first week of his second term as president, Donald Trump mandated employees of the federal government work in-person, withdrew the nation from the Paris Climate Agreement, withdrew the nation from the World Health Organization (WHO) citing their willingness to cover-up China's COVID-19 transgressions, delayed enforcement of a national ban of TikTok, recognized two genders—male and female, pardoned 1,500 Americans arrested for their actions on January 6th, 2021, expanded domestic energy production, shut down the U.S. Southern border and began deportations of dangerous illegal migrants, and guaranteed free speech on social media. Trump also fulfilled a long-term campaign pledge to focus on meritocracy and pivot away from the prioritization of far-left policies like diversity, equity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) within the federal government. Rich wonders, was this the most consequential first week in modern presidential history? 3:15pm- On Sunday, the Trump Administration arrested nearly 1,000 illegal migrants who have been accused of serious crimes. Comparatively, the Biden Administration averaged 310 arrests per day, according to Axios. The New York Post reports that in a raid over the weekend, federal agents arrested 50 members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua in Denver, Colorado. 3:30pm- CIA Says Lab Leak the Likely Origin of COVID-19: Michael R. Gordon and Dustin Volz of The Wall Street Journal write: “The Central Intelligence Agency has now concluded that the deadly Covid-19 pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, lending credibility to a view that has been the focus of sharp debate among scientists and politicians for years. In doing so, the CIA has now joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Energy Department in identifying a laboratory mishap in Wuhan, China, as the probable source of the Covid virus. It has killed more than 1.2 million Americans and over seven million people worldwide.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/cia-now-favors-lab-leak-theory-on-origins-of-covid-19-eff4e67c. 3:40pm- After initially rejecting deportation flights containing Colombian citizens who entered the U.S. illegally, Colombian President Gustavo Perez reversed course—even providing the U.S. with his own presidential plane to assist in the process. After Perez's refusal, President Donald Trump announced he would slap Colombia with a 25% tariff, with the promise it would quickly increase to 50%. The United States is Colombia's largest trading partner. 4:00pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Federal Trade Commission in the Trump Administration. This Day in Legal History: Robert Bork Nomination RejectedOn October 23, 1987, the U.S. Senate rejected President Ronald Reagan's nomination of Robert H. Bork to the Supreme Court by a vote of 42-58. This rejection was a pivotal moment in U.S. legal and political history, marking one of the most contentious Supreme Court nomination battles. Bork, a former solicitor general and judge on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, was known for his strict originalist interpretation of the Constitution, which raised concerns about how his judicial philosophy might affect rulings on civil rights, privacy, and women's rights.Bork's nomination ignited intense public opposition, particularly from civil rights organizations, women's rights groups, and liberal advocacy organizations. These groups feared that his conservative views on issues like abortion, affirmative action, and privacy rights would roll back decades of legal progress. His academic writings and controversial role in the Saturday Night Massacre during the Watergate scandal, when he followed President Nixon's orders to fire the special prosecutor investigating the case, further fueled opposition. The Senate's rejection of Bork is widely seen as a turning point in the politicization of Supreme Court nominations, where ideology became a key battleground. The term “borking” was coined to describe the aggressive campaigning and lobbying used to derail a judicial nomination. This event reshaped how future judicial nominations would be approached, with increased scrutiny on nominees' legal philosophies and the political stakes of Supreme Court appointments.Elon Musk's $1 million election giveaway has sparked debate over whether it violates federal laws prohibiting payment to register or vote. The giveaway, which selects daily winners from those who sign Musk's petition supporting the First and Second Amendments, targets key battleground states ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Legal experts are split on its legality. Some argue that it could be viewed as indirectly incentivizing voter registration, particularly since participants must be registered voters in specific states. Critics, including Pennsylvania's Governor Josh Shapiro, are calling for investigations, citing concerns about potential violations. Others, like former Federal Election Commission chair Brad Smith, believe Musk is not violating the law because signing the petition isn't directly tied to registering to vote. The controversy centers on whether Musk's actions are a clever mobilization tactic or a breach of election law.Elon Musk's $1 million election giveaway tests limits of election law | ReutersCarrier Global has agreed to a $730 million settlement related to PFAS contamination claims against its bankrupt fire protection unit, Kidde-Fenwal. The settlement will resolve lawsuits over toxic chemicals, known as PFAS or "forever chemicals," found in Kidde-Fenwal's firefighting foam products, which allegedly polluted water and soil near U.S. airports and military bases. The settlement allocates $540 million to Kidde-Fenwal and $190 million to the plaintiffs. Carrier will fund $615 million over five years and use $115 million from the sale of Kidde-Fenwal's assets. Additionally, Carrier expects up to $2.4 billion in insurance payouts to cover costs. Kidde-Fenwal filed for bankruptcy in May 2023 amid over 4,400 PFAS-related lawsuits. This settlement follows other major PFAS agreements, such as 3M's $10.3 billion and DuPont's $1.19 billion settlements.Carrier reaches $730 mln settlement over fire protection unit PFAS claims | ReutersRupert Murdoch's Dow Jones and the New York Post have filed a lawsuit against Perplexity AI, accusing the startup of illegally copying their copyrighted content to generate AI-based responses. The lawsuit highlights a broader conflict between publishers and tech companies over the unauthorized use of copyrighted material for AI training and content generation. Perplexity, which competes in the search engine market, provides AI-generated summaries from various sources, including material from Dow Jones and the New York Post. The lawsuit claims that Perplexity's system reproduces content verbatim without permission, constituting copyright infringement. Dow Jones and the *New York Post* seek to stop Perplexity from using their content and demand the destruction of databases built using their work. Despite attempts to negotiate a licensing deal, Perplexity did not respond. The case reflects growing tensions between media organizations and AI companies, as publishers push for compensation for the use of their content.Murdoch's Dow Jones, New York Post sue Perplexity AI for 'illegal' copying of content | ReutersA Michigan judge rejected a Republican effort to restrict overseas voting in the state. The Republican National Committee (RNC) had filed a lawsuit claiming Michigan's election laws improperly allowed U.S. citizens living abroad, who had never resided in the state but had relatives there, to vote. Judge Sima Patel ruled that the challenged language in the law aligns with federal and state regulations. According to Michigan law, U.S. citizens who have never lived in the U.S. can vote in Michigan if a parent, guardian, or spouse last resided there, as long as they haven't registered in another state. The RNC did not immediately respond to the decision.Judge rejects Republican move to restrict overseas voting in Michigan | ReutersIn my column for Bloomberg this week I argued for the need to establish a uniform state sales tax system to alleviate the burdens on small businesses and remote sellers. The current fragmented system, with over 13,000 tax jurisdictions, creates significant compliance challenges. Since the Supreme Court's South Dakota v. Wayfair decision in 2018, remote sellers are now required to navigate a complex patchwork of tax rules across states, which hampers interstate commerce. A proposal by Senator Maggie Hassan to standardize sales tax policies has drawn opposition from states concerned about losing autonomy, but the economic harm caused by the status quo warrants congressional intervention. Small businesses are disproportionately affected, as they are often required to track taxes across multiple states, increasing administrative costs. A federal solution, like Hassan's proposal, could simplify this with exemptions for small sellers and protections for good-faith tax collection errors. Offering federal incentives for states to modernize their tax systems could help ease the transition. By building on existing frameworks, such as the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement, a collaborative approach can balance state sovereignty with the need for a more consistent tax system that supports commerce. We Need a Uniform State Sales Tax System That Supports Commerce This is a public episode. Send us a textIn July of 1991, Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall announced his retirement as a Supreme Court Justice. That would set off the second ugliest fight to date to fill a Supreme Court seat. Only the fight over the nomination of Robert Bork was tougher and Bork lost. Clarence Thomas was a conservative justice, he was young at age 43, and had had a distinguished career as the head of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and he served on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, He was a Yale Graduate and he had an undergraduate Degree from Holy Cross. He would also be the second African American to sit on the Supreme Court but he was not a liberal nor a Democrat. That guaranteed him a fight on issues concerning Civil Rights, Affirmative Action, and Abortion rights. Those fights turned out to be only the first round of the Hearings to confirm him. An accusation had been made in some of the FBI reports that had been checking his background and in typical Washington style, it got leaked. That led to round 2 and a long debate about the sordid tale of sexual harassment between the Conferee and a former employee he had at the EEOC, Dr. Anita Hill. This is the story of some of the most heated hearings ever held on Capitol Hill. Like a hand reaching up from the grave, the recent Supreme Court decision on presidential immunity represents the posthumous triumph of Richard Nixon, Robert Bork, and Antonin Scalia. On thisWhoWhatWhy podcast I examine this constitutional crisis with Brown University law professor Corey Brettschneider, author of The Presidents and the People: Five Leaders Who Threatened Democracy and the Citizens Who Fought to Defend It.In a ruling that seems to place former presidents beyond the reach of criminal law, the court has breathed new life into Nixon's infamous claim: “When the president does it, it can't be illegal.” Brettschneider unravels how the ghosts of conservative legal titans have shaped a ruling that threatens the very foundations of American democracy.
How SCOTUS turned ex-presidents into immune monarchs, made them above the law and protected by an “authoritarian constitution.” Read More: www.WhoWhatWhy.org

SPECIAL GUEST Brother Andre Marie Host of ReConquest aired only on the Crusade Radio Network Follow Brother on GAB and X - @Brother_Andre HEADLINE: Voices of Catholic Political Conscience, Past and Present by Brother Andre Marie We are on Buzzards Bay not actually Martha's Vineyard. Pools and bathtubs that is the only place Maggie will swim. To put it bluntly, the thirty-two years intervening from Buchanan's speech and the twenty-eight since the publication of Bork's book have witnessed the acceptance by the “conservative” mainstream of sodomy, abortion, and other forms of deep moral depravity. (I fear that the Republicans were always OK with usury, itself morally depraved and a font of other forms of moral turpitude.) Witness the talks from the just concluded Republican National Convention, where Lara Trump and others chose to include “gay or straight” into the categories of human diversity cast into irrelevance by the transcendent humanity of Americans that the Party of Trump embraces. We even heard a trite pious platitude of depravity, “It's all love” — a variation on the theme of “Love is love” — echoing in the hallowed halls of Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum, uttered by a porn star, no less. Peter Thiel who is a homosexual, PayPal which is one of his many corporate entities, they will deplatform you if you are anti-homosexual. This is the new Republican party. The moral issues and natural law have been removed. Edward Feser on X posts a photo of a baby in utero with the comment “The Real Forgotten Man”. We don't endorse parties or candidates b/c we have the 501c(3) status but we can mention when things or platforms or stances are wrong. JD Vance was asked about the abortion pill. Aside from the moral question of lying, it is scandalize to say the abortion drug is okay. If he said that he is against the current LA law that has now categorized it a Class A controlled substance. They had 15 minutes of Make Israel Great Again and I cut it off during the convention. This is a difficult needle to thread here. Politics and Abortion The lesser of two evils and all. Someone must step up to the table and say no you are wrong and here is why. Social Moral teachings and statements in our platform - why can't we have that? What is so darned mystifying about these questions? Let's call a spade a spade and this is moral depravity. Amber Rose - why do we need to platform a porn star? When you select the people who speak at something like this, you are sending a signal. The Big Tent welcomes people who think the moral law is optional. We need to stop and say…NO we are not okay with that. Let's push hard against this. We have a pro-abortion party in the Democrats and now we have a pro-choice party. That is the two choices in my humble opinion. States Issues - Political King Makers - that is a whole different level of donations. The claim is that JD Vance is a creature who is a product of Theil and others. The Lesser of Two Evils - Catholics should excise this from their language. We can never do evil so that a good can come from it. You aren't supposed to pick evil ever. The principle of double effect - a choice b/w two things. The good effect to save the mothers life. The bad effect is that the child when removed from the tubes will die. If you do nothing the child and mother will die. There is a whole other role - the moral calculous that is not the lesser of two evils, it should be called The Principle of Double Effect! HEADLINE: The Lesser of Two Evils by Brother Andre Marie Take The Win phrase - people say this and I don't believe this. Take the Win is often used to say something happened that isn't perfect but we can work with it but that labels and attitude that we can actually work with it. When this is applied to the political realm means….SHUT UP.

Lucretia hosts this episode from her bunker in an undisclosed bunker in the desert southwest while Steve and John are still galavanting over in Europe. And as hinted in a Power Line post, she is thermo-nuclear furious about the Trump verdict. Rather than rehash the details of the case, which everyone has picked over thoroughly by this point, the whisky bar considers what at means, and what may or should happen next. Lucretia thinks the American republica died on May 30 (USA, 1776 to May 30, 2024, RIP), while Steve thinks this is another dismal turning point comparable to the way the demagogic attack on Robert Bork in 1987 poisoned and embittered our judicial politics ever since. The connecting thread between the two: Joe Biden, who may be the single-most destructive figure in American politics in the last 50 years—worse even than Obama, who was at least subtle in his contempt for the United States. It was Biden who gave in to the progressive left over Bork in 1987, and now giving in to the progressive left's Trump Derangement Syndrome and warping our legal order.John looks beyond the appeals in the New York courts to a possible motion for a writ of mandamus from the U.S. Supreme Court, while all three whisky swillers agree that gane theory tells us that the only way to stop this kind of partisan lawfare is for Republicans to teach Democrats that two can play this game. And Lucretia has a list! Do Republicans have the stomach for it? Doubtful.
This week Stu, Jim and Liam discuss Eurovision, Northern Lights, diminutive Icelandic singers and Wrestlemania. Strong language and adult humour throughout.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. United States—a case which will determine the extent of presidential immunity. In one notable exchange with Justice Department Counsel Michael Dreeben, Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked if, hypothetically, former President Barack Obama could be prosecuted for his administration's use of drone strikes against U.S. citizens in foreign countries. Justice Clarence Thomas also questioned if previous presidents, like John F. Kennedy who authorized Operation Mongoose which resulted in Cuban civilians being killed, could be criminally prosecuted after leaving office. 3:30pm- During oral argument in Trump v. United States, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor asked Donald Trump's attorney D. And, if so, wouldn't that quickly become a threat to the maintenance of a stable democracy? 5:05pm- On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- On Thursday evening, President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to an estimated audience of 32 million Americans. During the hour-long speech, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shouted at the president to mention Laken Riley—a 22-year-old nursing student who was recently murdered by an alleged undocumented migrant who had been arrested numerous times. In his response to the congresswoman, Biden mistakenly referred to Riley as “Lincoln” and called her alleged murderer an “illegal.” The “illegal” designation upset many on the far-left who claimed it was an outdated, offensive term for “new comers.” 3:15pm- During an interview with Jonathan Capehart on MSNBC, President Joe Biden expressed regret for using the term “illegal” when referring to Laken Riley's alleged killer. At a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called-out Biden's rebuttal—explaining that that the president should be more concerned about limiting unlawful migration rather than policing the language he uses to describe alleged murderers. 3:35pm- The sports blog Deadspin has fired all its existing staff after being bought by a European publishing company. Last year, Deadspin wrongfully accused a young Kansas City Chiefs fan of wearing blackface and of mocking Native American culture during the Chiefs-Raiders game—strategically angling a posted photo to only show half of the child's face, failing to note that the face paint was black and red (the team's colors), and that the child and his family are Native American. 3:50pm- Flashback: During a speech from 2009, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer continually referred to migrants who enter the country unlawfully as “illegal” and claimed that using terminology like “undocumented workers” shows that government isn't serious about preventing illegal immigration and/or border security. 4:05pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his recent editorial in The Wall Street Journal, “ESG, Big Labor and Starbucks.” Bork writes: “The latest comes courtesy of the Strategic Organizing Center, a coalition of unions using a $16,000 investment in Starbucks to push three labor nominees onto the company's 11-member board. All three candidates—former members of the Clinton and Obama administrations—are liberal stalwarts.” Since writing the article, the unions have thankfully backed down. You can read the editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/esg-big-labor-and-starbucks-unions-business-4ac0a85f?mod=opinion_lead_pos8 4:20pm- James Lynch of National Review writes: “House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R., Ohio.) is threatening to escalate his fight against FBI director Christopher Wray if the bureau does not turn over communications related to the Hunter Biden laptop story. Jordan sent a letter to Wray on Monday explaining that the Judiciary Committee may resort to holding the FBI director in contempt of Congress to compel the release of internal communications and the names of key personnel who participated in the bureau's meetings with social-media companies ahead of the 2020 election.” You can read the full report here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/exclusive-jim-jordan-threatens-to-hold-fbi-director-in-contempt-over-hunter-biden-laptop-story/ 4:35pm- During the 96th annual Academy Awards, Oppenheimer took home seven awards—including Best Picture and Best Director. Despite Oppenheimer's box office success, Rich notes some critics are angry that Barbie didn't win—bizarrely citing its merchandising success. We are all shocked that Oppenheimer, which received a hard R-rating, wasn't more popular with young children. What kid wouldn't want a J. Robert Oppenheimer doll? 4:50pm- Molly Hemingway of The Federalist writes: “Former Rep. Liz Cheney's January 6 Committee suppressed evidence that President Donald Trump pushed for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the nation's capital, a previously hidden transcript obtained by The Federalist shows. Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had ‘no evidence' to support Trump officials' claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops. In fact, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee included precisely that evidence from a key source. The interview, which Cheney attended and personally participated in, was suppressed from public release until now.” You can read the full article here: https://thefederalist.com/2024/03/08/exclusive-liz-cheney-january-6-committee-suppressed-exonerating-evidence-of-trumps-push-for-national-guard/ 5:00pm- Molly Hemingway of The Federalist writes: “Former Rep. Meaning, as you look at inflation year over year, you're adding up those numbers. You're not starting at a zero every year.” 5:20pm- Should TikTok be banned? Last week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 50-0 to advance a bill that would ban TikTok or force ByteDance (TikTok's parent company) to sell the social media platform to an entity removed from Chinese influence. The full House of Representatives is expected to vote on the bill this Wednesday and, according to The Wall Street Journal, it is likely to pass with majority approval. According to reports, President Joe Biden has vowed to sign the bill into law if the bill ultimately passes the House and Senate and arrives at his desk. 5:40pm- The House of Representatives is expected to vote on a bill that would ban TikTok—is this a step too far? Shouldn't individuals be allowed to choose which products they use? Or is the risk of Chinese leadership gaining access to American user data too great to respect individual autonomy and free markets? 6:05pm- Stephen Sorace of Fox News writes: “The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) issued a memo scolding firefighters it says brought ‘discredit' to the department after booing New York Attorney General Letitia James and cheering for former President Trump at a promotion ceremony last week, warning those who took part to protest on their own time, according to a report. Following a New York Post report about the leaked memo, FDNY spokesman Jim Long confirmed to Fox News Digital on Monday morning that chief officers went to firehouses over the weekend to discuss the events of Thursday and speak to the concerns and disappointment with the behavior shown during James' remarks.” You can read the full report here: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fdny-tells-firefighters-protest-your-own-time-booing-ny-ag-letitia-james-cheering-trump-report 6:30pm- On Thursday evening, President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to an estimated audience of 32 million Americans. Episode 439: Borked by Blockbuster This week Host Dave Bledsoe gets in a drunken row with a fellow barfly on the artistic merits of “Jiggly Juggs Volume 7” versus “Jiggly Juggs Volume 8” insisting 8 was repetitive trash until the bartender tossed them both out. (Again) On the show this week we tell you about the time a Supreme Court nominee's video rental records gave us a whole new law! (But had nothing to do with keeping Bork off the bench.) Along the way Dave goes on Old Man Rant ™ about how tough it was before corporate video chains took over the video rental market. Then we dive right into a brief history of home video rentals and how capitalism killed the mom and pop video stores. (It is somehow relevant, we swear) before finally getting to the main story about Robert Bork. (It's OK if you don't know who that is, we didn't either.) We explain how the guy who did Dick Nixon's dirty work gets nominated by Ronald Reagan to the Supreme Court and everyone gets super pissed by the end of the story. (It really is a wild ride on this one!) Finally we explain why all of this resulted in politicians feeling safe when they rented their hard core porn at their local video store. (You know the stuff behind the swinging doors in the back, you dad went in there while you were looking for Star Wars movies.) Finally we explain why you still have privacy at The Last Blockbuster but not on Netflix. (Say it with us: CAPITALISM!) Our sponsor this week is Mondo Fast Eddies Home Video back again because they still got tapes. We open with Randall from RST Video and close with Datarock who are waiting for you at the video store. Singer-songwriter and Sound bath healer Lisa Murdoch, uses her pain as her big message through her breathtakingly impactful songs. Lisa left her place at a highly sought-after music degree at Manchester university after feeling unaligned and generally out of saughts, then covid hit and before long her anxiety got worse, to the point she would no longer leave her house. Going through this painfully dark season would break most, but Lisa kept searching, learning, partying and surrounding she started to take night-time walks in the woods, and this is where her music came to her once again. Only this time so much had changed. Lisa has stepped into an unapologetic badass of the woods who loves to turn heads with her art. Lisa's energy I found like Kate Bush and Bork – sweet pure but make no mistake completely ahead of us all. I can't wait to see Lisa take over the charts with her gifts! Lisa's Takeaways 1. Follow zero people on your Instagram - you get to decide you you're exposed too 2. Surround yourself with different perspectives. 3. Spiritual awakenings aren't easy 4. Call your ‘breakdown a transformation but that's what it truly is 5. Getting quiet and going within is quite normal as there is a lot to process 6. Any shift like a breakdown, or anxiety to not leave the house can make us go into blame but that's the ego brain keeping us small, we have to be selfish at that point as it takes up all of the head space and we might not have articulated it. 7. Look at your ancestral roots it might be the connection and feeling of belonging you need for the permission of what you're naturally drawn to 8. Even though we are proud of our roots and authenticity, growing up but growing up we need to see people who reflect us. As it's in our survival makeup 9. Get to the woods Trees have so much for the senses not just visual either 10. A message from the heart goes straight through the heart 11. Words have power – we fear the word witch why aren't they afraid of the men who drowned the witches? During Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Chris Stewart applauded the FBI whistleblowers for their bravery and condemned the bureau's leadership for being overtly politicized. While testifying before a House Select Committee, former FBI agent turned whistleblower Steve Friend stated that the bureau retaliated against him after he questioned statistics being used to determine that domestic extremism was a dire threat. Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & head of the Bork Group, a public affairs agency—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the left's recent attacks on Justice Clarence Thomas and, subsequently, the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. Though Disney hinted that the project was scrapped because of its ongoing feud with Governor Ron DeSantis, Rich and Matt believe it's more likely a symptom of some struggling business segments within the company. For example, in the first Quarter of 2023, Disney+ lost a whopping 4 million subscribers. 4:50pm- On Wednesday, economic reporter at The Washington Post Jeff Stein tweeted a misquote credited to Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) by Fetterman's office. Stein notes, “[t]hough it captured his meaning, I deleted the tweet since some of the words in the quote were inaccurate.” 5:05pm- During Thursday's House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) asked whistleblower Marcus Allen to answer for a tweet belonging to another person also named Marcus Allen. According to political commentator Greg Price, Rep. Gov. Murphy said of the potential ruling, “it will cost people their lives…women in particular.” 6:35pm- Ford, Tesla, Volvo, Volkswagen, and BMW are among the auto manufacturers that have eliminated AM radio from their electric vehicles—but a group of bipartisan lawmakers, including Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Ted Cruz (R-Tx), want to prevent the removal arguing public safety is at risk. 6:45pm- On Thursday, several Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblowers testified before a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. The hearing addressed alleged abuses of power by leadership within the FBI. In his opening statement, Rep.
