Resistance in our faith journey is a fact and occurs both on a personal and collective level. What is needed is an ongoing dependence upon God to meet the daily challenges and hurdles that come our way. Especially important is to be receptive to the fresh inspiration of the Holy Spirit in our day to day faith walk. To seek the presence and power of the Spirit of God is critical if we are to overcome the subtleties of the evil one. May we learn from Peter and John as they model this dependence upon God as thy pass through difficult and challenging times.

In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, host Kris Plachy dives into a topic we all know too well—difficult people. We've all worked with someone who's frustrating, quirky, or just hard to get along with. And rather than facing the issue head-on, we tend to tuck these individuals away, hoping they'll just disappear. If you're someone who avoids difficult conversations, in this episode you'll learn the strategies to embrace the difficult people and become the leader you're capable of being. As a business owner, it's your responsibility to deal with the people who challenge you. Whether it's employees who push back, disagree, or simply don't fit the mold you envisioned, avoiding these difficult situations only hinders your business and personal growth. Kris emphasizes that by avoiding tough conversations, you're holding yourself back from fulfilling your vision and advancing your mission. “We are shrinking in the face of difficult when we should be standing and firmly growing who we are,” Kris reminds us. Facing difficulty head-on requires us to change the way we think and behave, and it's essential for growth. No one teaches you how to deal with difficult people, but when you step into being a leader, it is essential to learn and refine this skill. Kris teaches how to turn these situations into opportunities for both you and your team to grow. Kris guides us through the art of navigating these tough moments with honesty, courage, and a commitment to fostering growth. If you're ready to stop avoiding conflict and start growing, grab your pen and take notes—this episode will transform how you lead your business and your life. Key Takeaways From This Episode Embrace Difficulty as a Path to Growth: Avoiding challenges may feel easier in the short term, but overcoming them leads to the next level of success and fulfillment. Resistance Stalls Progress: Accepting reality allows you to move forward with clarity and purpose. Leadership Requires Facing Hard Conversations: Addressing challenges directly and honestly is key to maintaining a strong, functional team. Difficult People Are an Opportunity, Not a Roadblock: Mastering these interactions builds confidence, resilience, and stronger leadership skills. Avoiding Conversations Hurts Everyone: Honest feedback helps both individuals and organizations grow. Developing Conflict Resolution Skills is a Game-Changer: This skill is critical for maintaining peace of mind and achieving your long-term goals. Contact Information and Recommended Resources 1. He challenges listeners to invest just 14 minutes and 24 seconds of their day (1% of a 24-hour period) into personal growth and self-improvement. Pete discusses the importance of shifting perspectives, identifying key areas for growth, and overcoming the common obstacles that prevent us from making progress. He shares insights from Atomic Habits by James Clear and the philosophy of "Kaizen"—continuous improvement. Key Topics Covered: ✔️ The Power of 1% Daily Improvement: Small, intentional actions create a compounding effect over time. ✔️ The Importance of Perspective: Real change happens when we see things differently, not just when we're told what to do. ✔️ Slowing Down to Reflect: Taking time to pause and assess where we are and where we want to be. ✔️ The Three Key Areas of Growth: Health & Energy Relationships (including the relationship with yourself) Wealth, Work & Service ✔️ The Gap Between Where You Are & Where You Want to Be: How to bridge that gap through small daily investments. ✔️ Overcoming Resistance to Change: Why we naturally avoid difficult things and how to push past initial discomfort. ✔️ The Power of Starting: Once you start, momentum makes it harder to stop. Action Steps: ✅ Pick One Area – Choose one part of your life (health, relationships, or work) to invest 14 minutes and 24 seconds in each day. ✅ Commit to Small Steps – Focus on small, consistent changes instead of overwhelming transformations. ✅ Get Started Today – Don't wait for motivation; action creates momentum. ✅ Join the Conversation – Share your biggest takeaway from this episode in the Mi365 WhatsApp group  Resources & Links:

Every believer faces moments when they stand at the threshold of something new, something God-ordained, and yet, resistance comes. The enemy is not interested in your past; he is terrified of your future. When Paul and Barnabas returned to Antioch, they didn't just share stories of open doors but also the battles they faced in reaching those doors. Our springboard for today's discussion is: Acts 14:27 – "And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles."When God opens a door, the enemy does everything he can to block your entrance. Distractions, doubts, and obstacles are not signs that you should turn back; they are proof that you're on the right path. Spiritual warfare intensifies when you're about to step into a greater calling. It could be fear gripping your heart before a ministry launch, unexpected conflicts arising in relationships, or financial setbacks trying to derail your obedience. But here's the truth: no force of darkness can shut a door that God has opened for you.So how do we fight at the threshold? First, recognize the enemy's tactics—he works through discouragement, division, and deception. Second, arm yourself with God's Word, just as Jesus did in the wilderness. Third, stand in prayer and faith, refusing to retreat just because opposition has appeared. If God has brought you to the door, He will take you through it.Question of the Day: What door has God opened in your life that the enemy is trying to resist?Let's Pray: Lord, strengthen us as we stand at the threshold of Your calling. Give us discernment to recognize the enemy's schemes and faith to step forward in obedience. We trust that what You open, no one can shut. Adele emphasizes the power of personal responsibility, inner work, and understanding the subconscious mind to achieve breakthroughs. She discusses overcoming resistance, the urgency of transformation, and the role of curiosity in personal growth. Adele also highlights the importance of identity shifts in achieving success and the need for facilitated personal development. Wrapping up, she teases her upcoming book and encourages listeners to embrace radical honesty and invest in their growth.   “I'm not here to prove anything to you. You've got to understand that you're the steward of your life. I'm just here as a mentor to show you the mirror of something that you can't currently see for yourself yet. But does that make sense? So overcoming someone's resistance or them overcoming their own internal resistance to change is about understanding that they have to want the change more than they want staying the same.” - Adele Tevlin   Here are the key notes to explore: Personal Responsibility Drives Transformation – Adele Tevlin emphasizes that taking ownership of one's life and results is key to achieving breakthroughs. She shares her own experience of personal responsibility leading to rapid growth and success. The Subconscious Mind Shapes Reality – Adele explains that 95% of behavior is controlled by the subconscious mind, and true transformation requires addressing deep-seated beliefs rather than relying on intellect alone. Curiosity and Urgency Fuel Growth – She highlights the importance of being curious about one's experiences and developing a strong desire for change. Transformation happens quickly when the need to change outweighs the comfort of staying the same. Identity Shifts Unlock Success – Adele stresses that success is not about doing more but about becoming a new version of oneself. Changing self-perception and beliefs about success is crucial for reaching the next level. About Adele Tevlin: Adele Tevlin is the creator and founder of The C.E.O Blueprint, a Transformational Development Company. Guest: Mitch Lewandowski   Guest Bio: I was recently asked, "What's your passion?" That made me think about who I am as a person, husband, father and contributor. As I considered my 35-plus years of leadership, it wasn't about the deals I'd done or the places I'd gone. What made me tick and come alive was something so much more meaningful. It came down to the sense of purpose and fulfillment I've gotten through making a difference in the lives of the people and companies I've impacted. Helping an individual come alive and gain freedom to be a better person. Assisting a company to break free from costly and/or ineffective habits. Working with a customer that has given me passport into their lives and business and trusting me along the way of change that forever improves them. You can't put a price on that. It's priceless and it has no number. That's my passion. Key Points: Genesis of Cymbionic: Founded a consulting firm to help businesses achieve health and wholeness. Focusing on investing knowledge gained from past experiences to support others. Concept of Healthy Organizations: Healthy organizations foster collaboration and shared beliefs among leadership teams. Emphasizing the importance of collective growth rather than individual gain. Engaging Teams in Vision Creation: Encourages inclusive brainstorming to develop a shared vision and destination. "If there's no way in, there's no buy-in": team involvement leads to greater commitment. Overcoming Resistance to Change: Leaders must inspire and equip teams rather than dictate actions. Leaders should be open to team input to find a mutually agreeable direction. Addressing Self-Limiting Beliefs: Look for candidates willing to take risks and learn from failures. Use motivational examples (like the “death crawl” from Facing the Giants) to challenge and inspire. Fostering Coachability and Teachability: Use the FAITH acronym (Faithful, Available, Interdependent, Teachable, Hungry) to screen candidates. Emphasize teamwork and the importance of interdependence for success.  Behavioral Change Approach: Focus on capturing team members' hearts to inspire behavioral change. Promote an environment where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities. Continuous Improvement: Encourage ongoing dialogue and teamwork to refine strategies and maintain engagement. Highlight the importance of shared goals to drive collective success. Team-Oriented Mindset: Emphasis on collaboration and recognizing team contributions over individual achievements. The speaker values “we” over “me.” Look for individuals who are driven to help the team succeed rather than those focused solely on personal gain or material rewards. Learning from Others: Importance of understanding how candidates have successfully worked with various teams (like pre-sales and onboarding) to achieve goals.  Community Engagement: Suggesting that salespeople participate in volunteer activities to cultivate a mindset of service and generosity, which can translate to better performance in the workplace.  Client-Centered Approach: Emphasizing the need for salespeople to be genuinely interested in their clients, as building relationships leads to better outcomes. Awareness and Attunement: Encouraging salespeople to "raise their antenna" to be more receptive to client needs and signals, enhancing communication and relationship-building.   Guest Links: cymbionic.com mitch@cymbionic.com       About Salesology®: Conversations with Sales Leaders Download your free gift, The Salesology® Vault. The vault is packed full of free gifts from sales leaders, sales experts, marketing gurus and revenue generation experts.  Download your free gift, 81 Tools to Grow Your Sales & Your Business Faster, More Easily & More Profitably. From Perfectionism to Progress: Embracing Imperfect ActionWelcome back to another episode of Roots to Riches, where natural healing meets unstoppable success. I'm your host, Justin Benton, and today I wanted to share a special segment from our Grateful Share Monday meetings, which we hold every Monday for the Miracle Plant community. In this episode, I delve into a conversation with a wonderful woman named Laura, who has been conducting beach yoga sessions for about seven years. I originally encouraged her to start these sessions and even sponsored her for many years. Recently, I've been motivating her to record her sessions and share them on YouTube, despite her initial resistance and feelings of imperfection.During our chat, I emphasized the importance of taking imperfect action and the difference between wisdom and knowledge. True wisdom comes from doing, not just knowing. I shared insights from my friend Russell's podcast journey, highlighting how he found his voice after many episodes and how no one is perfect at the start.I also discussed the concept of emotional sobriety, which involves maintaining control over one's emotions regardless of external circumstances. I shared my commitment to journaling as a method to achieve this state and maintain a grateful and joyous mindset.Throughout the episode, I aimed to inspire and motivate listeners to take action, share their unique gifts, and not let perfectionism hold them back. Whether it's through personal development, health, wealth, or relationships, the key is to keep pushing forward and sharing what we know to help others.Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let's continue to unlock ancient wisdom to boost our health and wealth, and together, we can transform our lives and the world around us.Stay tuned for more insights and inspiration in the next episode of Roots to Riches.ASK THIS EPISODE ANYTHING TIMESTAMPS00:00:09 - 00:00:41 - The Importance of Experience Over Knowledge00:00:41 - 00:01:03 - Introduction to Roots to Riches Podcast00:01:03 - 00:01:24 - Grateful Share Monday Meetings00:01:24 - 00:01:56 - Encouraging Imperfect Action00:01:56 - 00:02:28 - Overcoming Resistance to Recording00:02:28 - 00:03:10 - Asking for Permission to Share Opinions00:03:10 - 00:03:42 - Mission to Heal the World00:03:42 - 00:04:08 - Laura's Beach Yoga Recording Update00:04:08 - 00:04:49 - Offering Advice and Encouragement00:04:49 - 00:05:21 - Finding Your Voice Through Practice00:05:21 - 00:06:15 - Wisdom Comes from Doing00:06:15 - 00:06:48 - Moral Obligation to Share Knowledge00:06:48 - 00:07:20 - Shifting Focus from Self to Others00:07:20 - 00:08:14 - Laura's 20 Years of Yoga Experience00:08:14 - 00:09:07 - The Movie Lucy and Passing on Knowledge00:09:07 - 00:10:01 - The Legacy of Sharing Knowledge00:10:01 - 00:11:06 - Overcoming Awkwardness and Anxiety00:11:06 - 00:12:05 - The Importance of Hitting Record00:12:05 - 00:13:16 - Helping Others Through Sharing00:13:16 - 00:14:15 - Vulnerability and Rawness00:14:15 - 00:15:10 - Emotional Sobriety and Journaling00:15:10 - 00:16:16 - Maintaining Emotional Sobriety00:16:16 - 00:17:00 - The Role of Grateful Share Meetings00:17:00 - 00:18:05 - The Hunt for Optimal State00:18:05 - 00:19:10 - Controlling Your Response to External Events00:19:10 - 00:20:03 - Commitment to Journaling00:20:03 - 00:20:35 - Passing on Knowledge Before It's Too Late00:20:35 - 00:21:28 - Overcoming Perfectionism00:21:28 - 00:22:19 - The Importance of Sharing Skills00:22:19 - 00:23:03 - Laura's Indoor Yoga Options00:23:03 - 00:24:17 - Balancing Family and Personal Growth00:24:17 - 00:25:11 - Gratitude for Life and Opportunities Thank you for tuning in to the Miracle Plant Podcast.
