Sunil Gavaskar dropped a bombshell when he wrote a column for Sportstar, hitting out at those who credited Gautam Gambhir for India's Kanpur Test win against Bangladesh. Gavaskar said the sole credit for India's aggressive approach should have gone to Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Test team. He said he felt people indulging in ‘foot-licking' by crediting the newly-appointed coach. It seems the legendary Gavaskar missed the mark on this occasion. While he stated the obvious by praising Rohit Sharma for India's fearless approach, his swipe at the head coach's supporters left a bad taste. Meanwhile, India women's cricket has been facing criticism for its slow start to the women's T20 World Cup. Some critics have accused the women's cricket team of not asking the right questions. Can India wriggle out of trouble and make it to the semi-final? It looks less likely after a timid batting performance against Pakistan. In the latest episode of the Sledging Room Podcast, Akshay Ramesh, Saurabh Kumar, and Kingshuk Kusari join the bandwagon and try to make issues out of non-issues. Tune in! Our resident umpire, Vas Shipp, joins us this week to discuss the controversial MANKAD decision in an England v India Women's ODI. Ted and Navod strongly argue that, whatever the law may be, it is clearly against the spirit of the game. Peerson, however, as an unexpectedly different take. Next, we discuss the emergence of Cam Green as a T20 cricketer in the INDIA V AUSTRALIA T20s, dissect some interesting games and ask whether India finally has the team to bring them glory. Lastly, Peerson brings us up-to-date on the marathon ENGLAND V PAKISTAN T20 series which is currently tied at 2-2. Despite some good performances from England's youngsters and Pakistan's openers, he cast doubt on whether either side can win the T20 World Cup. LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!!

This will also mean better opportunities for Indian women who are now carrying the whole responsibility of birth control. For many women, sterilisation is preferred to regular contraception. There are more than 1 cr people holding the crypto in India. We have seen $1 bn of turnover, and we have seen a global surge in Bitcoin investments primarily because it is seen as a hedge,” he added, Lathia further added that retail investors are waking up that having a small percentage of Bitcoin in their portfolio is inevitable. Commenting on the surge of women investors in Bitcoin, Lathia said that women investors investing in Bitcoin is increasing. “We have seen a lot of women investors join the industry and also those investors who haven’t invested in traditional assets which is an encouraging sign and the number is only going to rise,” added Lathia. Last week Johnson & Johnson announced it will cease production on two lines of skin-lightening products sold in countries across Asia and the Middle East. At the same time, Unilever, who own the skin-lightening cream Fair & Lovely, have announced that they will change the product’s name. How significant are these moves? And why does the skin-lightening industry continue to be so popular, despite the dangers and controversy? Nimmi Dosanjh is Indian-Kenyan and light-skinned. Her 11 year old daughter is dark-skinned. Geeta Pandey is the Editor of BBC News Online, India Women and Social Affairs. Linasha Kotalawala is a lifestyle and beauty blogger. Over the next few days we’re going to be looking at women and gaming - the stereotype that only adolescent boys play video games doesn’t tally with the figures, which show women make up almost 50 per cent of those that play. And, women over 40 are among the fastest growing group of people who regularly engage in smartphone, video, or computer games. Our reporter, Lotta Haegg, a gamer herself, has been speaking to women who are changing the culture of the industry and refusing to accept the stereotypes. Rhianna Pratchett is a video game writer and journalist. Panama implemented a state-enforced lockdown to combat the spread of COVID-19 which was sex-segregated. In this, women are allowed out of the house on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and men on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On these days, individuals were only able to go to the supermarket or pharmacy. Clare Wenham, Assistant Professor in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science tells us how it worked out. Four single mothers have launched legal proceedings against the government over the child maintenance support system which they say is failing them and their children. The women are being supported by the campaign group Gingerbread – Victoria Benson is their Chief Executive. Natalie has struggled to get maintenance payments for her sons for the last five years. But first we speak to Selaine Saxby, Conservative MP for North Devon and a member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee.
