Salam Maria penuh rahmat ... Dalam nama Bapa ...

La Porta | Renungan Harian Katolik - Daily Meditation according to Catholic Church liturgy
Dibawakan oleh Anastasia dan Sania dari Paroki Katedral Roh Kudus Labuan Bajo di Keuskupan Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. Kidung Agung 2: 8-14; Mazmur tg 33: 2-3.11-12.20-21; Lukas 1: 39-45 BERBAGI SUKA CITA Renungan kita pada hari ini bertema: Berbagi Suka Cita. Kita semua pernah mengalami kedatangan tamu.
"AI isn't replacing people—it's augmenting them. The people who know how to use AI will replace those who don't: "Redesigning jobs is about understanding which tasks humans excel at and which tasks AI can handle—then finding the perfect balance."Guest:Sania Khan* Labor Economist, founder of Inflection Point Consulting, Chief Economist at a leading talent intelligence AI company, Senior Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)Summary:In this episode of Psych Tech @ Work, I welcome a new friend and brilliant Labor Economist Sania Khan, whose unique perspective blends macroeconomic labor trends, AI-driven work redesign, the evolution of skills, and the future of workSania shares insights from her experience at the Bureau of Labor Statistics and her work with emerging talent intelligence tools to tackle one of today's hottest topics: how jobs are being fundamentally deconstructed into tasks, skills, and competencies. We dig into how AI is reshaping work—from automating routine tasks to creating new opportunities—and what this means for businesses and individuals. Sania makes the case for job redesign as an essential forward looking strategy for organizations as they adapt to the increasing role of AI in redefining the rules of work.We agree that the world of work will increasingly find itself tied to a skills based economy which will require solving the challenge of moving beyond buzzwords like “skills-based hiring” and focus on aligning emerging technologies with human potential. This will require building consistent skills taxonomies, focusing on durable skills like problem-solving and critical thinking, and the gap between hype and reality when it comes to AI's impact on the labor market. Topics Covered:* Deconstructing Jobs with AI* How AI is automating tasks within jobs, freeing workers for more meaningful work.* The importance of job redesign to align organizational goals with evolving roles.* Skills-Based Hiring and Skills Taxonomies* Why a globally accepted definition of "skills" remains elusive and how this hinders interoperability across platforms.* The challenge of relying on resumes and job descriptions as source materials for skills analysis.* The Future of Work and AI's Impact* AI's dual role: creating efficiencies while raising concerns about job replacement.* Predictions for future jobs—like AI specialists, prompt engineers, and responsible AI officers—and how organizations can prepare.* Durable Skills and Adaptability* Why “durable skills” like problem-solving, critical thinking, and agility will define professional success.* How workers can future-proof their careers by learning to work with AI, not against it.Takeaways:* AI is reshaping work by automating routine tasks, but humans remain critical for complex, meaningful roles.* Organizations must focus on job redesign to capitalize on AI while ensuring employees do meaningful, value-added work.* Skills-based hiring is promising but hindered by inconsistent taxonomies and unreliable data sources.* Durable skills—like critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability—are the key to navigating AI-driven change.* Workers who learn to augment their skills with AI will have the greatest advantage.* New roles like AI specialists, responsible AI officers, and prompt engineers will emerge as businesses adopt more advanced technologies.Articles Discussed in the "Take It or Leave It" Segment:* "Research: How GenAI is Already Impacting the Labor Market" – Harvard Business Review* Summary: A data-backed look at how generative AI is reducing demand for automation-prone gig work while increasing competition in the labor market. Sania underscores the importance of becoming exceptional at your craft to remain competitive.* "How AI Is Fueling Long-Term Job Growth" – Fast Company* Summary: A positive perspective on AI's role in creating new jobs, like AI specialists and data scientists. Sania challenges the overly optimistic forecasts, noting the need for realistic strategies to align skills with emerging roles. This episode provides a compelling look at the intersection of technology, skills, and workforce transformation—a must-listen for leaders navigating the evolving world of work.

In deep gratitude, we reflect on one of our most powerful conversations yet with Sania Khan, a Liberation Artist-Alchemist, Elemental Somatics Guide, Futurist and Multimodal Storyteller, where we explore what it means to live embodied futures. Sania's work centers around safety in the body and accessing the limitless creativity, joy, pleasure, sensuality, and imagination that are vibrating within us so that our inherent wisdom and cosmic knowingness can be shared with the world with full integrity. This week we learn about Sania's work and how she guides others through a journey of somatic reconnection to safely come back into their bodies in order to understand their energetic experiences beyond the confines of language. “What I'm doing in my practice is merely giving language to, in my own unique way, the practices that have existed long before me, practices that care to be in right relationship with the natural world, with the unseen world.” Through embodied futurism, a concept rooted in intergenerational healing and collective liberation, Sania walks with others to explore the depths of ancestral trauma and memories etched within their bodies to discover the transformative power of embracing our authentic selves. We reflect on moments in our personal journeys where we embraced unconventional choices, and explore the link between the profound power of sacred deviance and the liberation that arises from breaking away from normative structures. In this very sacred and divinely inspired episode, it becomes undeniably clear that Sania's work is ushering the world forward into a new and liberated future. A future where we're fully embodied and in right relation with ourselves and the world around us, wholly connected to the ancient wisdom of the past, and the future we want to create. “As you soften into your expansion, I just want you to be able to rest in the knowing that you're supported not only by other souls who want to experience you in your sovereignty and expansion and will celebrate you for exactly that. You are also held and supported by your benevolent ancestors, both human and cosmic. You're supported by this ecology that you're within and surrounded by this ecosystem of, again, the natural world, the unseen world that also wants the best for you. You're ultimately supported by this most vast, infinite energy that is our reason for being here, that also wants the best for you.” Learn more about Sania's work and connect on IG at @heysaniakhan.
In Canadian workplaces, many Asians are forced to grapple with the bamboo ceiling, which is a term that is used to describe how their growth and success within their organizations is hindered because of their ethnicity. Moreover, other harmful stereotypes (like calling Asians the “model minority”) mean that there is still much work to be done for Asians to feel completely welcome in their communities. We continue to highlight extraordinary individuals this Asian Heritage Month, and today's guest is a stellar example of using strength, determination, and resilience to overcome issues of racism, sexism, and Islamophobia. Introducing Sania Chaudhry, an Employment, Labour, and Human Rights Lawyer and a passionate champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Sania joins us today to discuss how DEI work became her life's focus, how to push through the bamboo ceiling, why the model minority is a damaging stereotype, and how marginalized people can speak for themselves in environments that discourage them to do so. We also explore the role of allies in the workplace, how to diversify the leadership prototype, why colonialism remains ever-present, and so much more! Key Points From This Episode:A warm welcome to Employment, Labour and Human Rights Lawyer, Sania Chaudhry.Sania's professional background and why diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) matters to her. Doubles legend Sania Mirza played her final Grand Slam match in Melbourne after reaching the Australian Open mixed doubles final alongside childhood friend Rohan Bopanna, giving an emotional speech on Rod Laver Arena. Though the Indian duo lost a tight two-setter to Brazilians Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos, the trophy ceremony took time to celebrate Mirza, a former WTA No. 1 and six-time Grand Slam champion across women's and mixed doubles. Defending champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova continued their exceptional Grand Slam winning streak in women's doubles by capturing the 2023 Australian Open title in Rod Laver Arena. Jason Kubler and Rinky Hijikata marched to a shock straight-sets win in the men's doubles final. All this and more as we review the doubles action at the AO with Will Boucek. On the 14th day since the Australian Open started, we rested while Novak wept. The victimhood tour is complete, Jonathan is annoyed, and we pay it as much (or as little) attention as we can muster. Meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka did THAT. Wow, what a moment. From her grit, skill, and determination on court, to her goofy glamour the following day, we put some respect on that incredible women's final! Other matters of business: lots of geopolitical tensions boil over, the Djokovic pater creates yet more headache for his son, Tursunov comes for Pam, the ballkids work for free, and Babs and Kat simply don't lose Slam matches anymore. 3:00 Sabalenka & Rybakina give us an insta-classic 16:15 The men: so …… anyway 23:45 The bweh tragedy; and Shelton's upside and areas for improvement 31:15 Doubles: Krejcikova/Siniakova haven't lost a Slam match since 2021; Sania plays her final Slam 35:10 Et ceteras: so, nationalism eh? 43:05 Papa Djokovic ignites a flag scandal 52:05 Pam's tweet brings Tursunov out of the woodwork, why? 63:55 Is it work? In part 1 we discussed the brutal murder of Connie Dadkhah on June 14 2022. In the second part of our conversation, Laura shares with us another horrific case, the murder of professional photographer Sania Khan on July 18 2022. Sania had posted on TikTok about her struggles of a painful divorce and its stigma in her South Asian community.Sania's vengeful ex-husband stalked her and flew from Georgia to Chicago and shot her dead. And we discuss the murder of Tirany Savage, her son Dayton and her mother Kim by he ex Bo Eugene Savage on July 10 2022. During the time that Tirany was trying to leave her husband Bo, she saw his behavior escalate and she was fearful. Tirany called 911 on at least two occasions, had him removed from the home and begged a judge for a protection order to protect herself and her teenaged son and filed for divorce. Her husband had been threatening suicide, procured a gun and threatened to kill her. So why did Judge Troy Daniel deny the order? What happened next to Tirany, Dayton and Kim will shock you but it didn't surprise Laura who has been tracking lethal male violence for many years and set up the first Homicide Prevention Unit at New Scotland Yard. This is an important discussion. It may be triggering and it will be angry-making. Join Health Affairs Insider.Welcome to While We Wait, the second series from Health Affairs Pathways. In this series, Sania Ali and Avni Kulkarni explore the mental health boarding crisis. To start, Avni and Sania introduce you to the story of Karin Broadhurst and her son who waited for 36 days in the hospital for psychiatric treatment in Boston. Long delays in care are commonplace for mental health patients who arrive in the emergency department (ED). Rather than a safety net, the ED can be a place with no progression in treatment where patients wait for change. Why? Because a mental health emergency can be an emergency that the ED isn't ready for. The Mental Health Boarding Crisis refers to the long-standing, nationwide problem of holding patients for hours, days, or even weeks in emergency departments and other observational settings because there are no available inpatient psychiatric beds in the hospital.Guests on this episode include Karin Broadhurst, Dr. Patricia Ibeziako from Boston Children's Hospital, and Massachusetts State Senator Cindy Friedman.
