Allgemeiner Lieblingsfakt zu Jaakko Eino Kalevi: Bevor seine Musikkarriere Fahrt aufnahm, lenkte er Trams in der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki. Weiterer erfreulicher Fakt: Fünf Jahre Wartezeit seit dem letzten Album haben sich gelohnt, denn er legt mit «Chaos Magic» prompt ein Doppelalbum nach. Jaakko Eino Kalevi hat seine nordische Heimat verlassen und lebt mittlerweile im griechischen Athen. Dort entstand ein Grossteil von «Chaos Magic», doch auch in Genf schrieb er Teile des Albums. Coucou, ne déroge pas à la signature du groupe de François and the atlas Mountains : une musique toujours très mélodieuse et léchée avec beaucoup de romantisme. Avec Coucou, François and the Atlas Mountains annoncent leur septième sortie, Banane Bleue prévu pour cet hiver. Un album multiculturel, signé sur le prestigieux label anglais de Franz Ferdinand : Domino Records ! Il a été composé entre Berlin, Athènes et Paris en collaboration avec le musicien finlandais Jaakko Eino Kalevi. François et son groupe décrit ce disque comme « nomade et profondément européen ». Son nom, Banane Bleue est d'ailleurs issu d'un concept des années 80 pour désigner les grandes mégalopoles européennes. Malgré toutes ses grandes connexions citadines, Coucou est un titre résolument intime sous forme de douce ballade, et on l'écoute tout de suite, sur euradio.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi, der finnische Musiker mit Wohnsitz Berlin, hatte im November sein Mini-Album "Dissolution" herausgebracht und wollte eigentlich auf Tour gehen. Während des Lockdowns kam der Musiker auf die Idee, Freunde und Kollegen auf dem Kontinent dazu aufgerufen, einige seiner Songs zu remixen. Jetzt liegt das Ergebnis vor und auf der "Dissolution Remixes EP" wird seine Musik aufregend und neu interpretiert. "Es ist immer interessant zu hören, wie andere Leute meine Musik interpretieren", sagt Jaakko. "Ich lasse mich gerne auf eine gute Art und Weise überraschen, und diese Remixe sind genau das Richtige für mich." Ob Jaako Eino Kalevi seine Songs nach dieser Erfahrung auch selbst ganz neu interpretiert, werden wir heute Abend live erleben.
