We came here to complete a well thought out, long form, never ending season preview that would teeter between rational thinking and absurdity. Instead it was all absurdity. TIM, Rivers McCown, L4Blitzer (Scott), Uprooted Texan, and call in guests Eddie Hassan, and Smoothgrandmaa all joined in to talk about the 2021 Texans season, and the franchise in general. It's a sick and twisted thing we are all wrapped up in. Topics include: our football feeling, kicking the absolute hell out of the Texans pup, the hole in Houston's cover two defense, Nick Caserio's job done so far, Rivers's favorite twitter replies, Lone Star Lites, a Kahale Warring bet, getting excited for rooting against Bill O'Brien, and the 2019 offensive line draft class. Two weeks ago we thought we found the bottom, the dumbest possible way the Houston Texans could lose to the Indianapolis Colts had been found. Nick Martin scuffling a snap across the turf while simultaneously missing his block giving Grover Stewart a path to the ball couldn’t be topped. Then this week happen. The same thing. The same situation again. It wasn’t a question of if the Texans would lose, but how dumb they would do it. Somehow, they nearly surpassed their previous buffoonery. Keke Coutee was tackled from behind after breaking a tackle and turning up to tie the game, only to be stripped, and for the Colts to recover in the endzone. The bottom is infinite. There are no limits to the misery the soul can experience, or, in this case, our favorite football team can inflict upon those who dare to love it. On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston, bigfatdrunk, and Scott, discuss Houston’s newest stupid loss to the Colts while simultaneously envisioning the future. Topics include: where this loss ranks in the history of dumb losses to the Colts, why Deshaun Watson has had so much success against the Colts this year, my emergency room visits resulting from having a little too much Kahale Warring, how long it will take for nature to heal itself in the post Bill O’Brien wasteland this team travels upon, chad hansen, Tyrell Adams inter dimensional space travel, and, of course, your beautiful and perfect listener questions. Some dynasty teams are battling it out for their fantasy football championships over the next two weeks, but for everyone else, now is the time to look beyond the 2020 season. This week, we're discussing players that are likely on many of your dynasty waiver wires but have opportunity in the future. Make sure you follow us on Twitter @DeepDiveDynasty! The players we discuss throughout this episode are: Tyron Johnson, Joe Reed, Freddie Swain, Anthony McFarland, Richard Rodgers, Nick Boyle, Colby Parkinson, Hunter Bryant, Albert Wilson, Jacob Eason, Kahale Warring, Riley Ridley, KJ Osborn, Chad Hansen, and Donovan Peoples-Jones. Some of these we talked about much more in depth than others but if you're out of the playoffs, check your waiver wires for any of these players that might be available and could be an upgrade over your current depth in terms of future upside! Specifically with Joe Reed, given what we saw on Thursday Night Football this week, (with him being healthy scratched) I would prioritize both Guyton and KJ Hill over him if you're looking to pick up a Chargers' Wide Receiver.

Lackadaisical. Putrid. It was all Deshaun Watson trying to carry this husk against Chicago, and he was splattered across the field as a result. On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston and Joe converse about the Texans hideous 36-7 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Houston Texans are a lot of things: football team, business, a collection of individuals, tough, smart, dependable, but most of all, their stupid, and every once in a while this cauldron of stupidity boils over, and the universe unleashes the stupidest thing you’ve ever seen, something so stupid that it precedes the previous stupid thing. This time it was Nick Martin’s skipping snap at the two yard line. There’s no way it can get any stupider than this. But if there’s a will there’s a way, and this franchise always finds a way. On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston and BigFatDrunk review Houston’s newest loss to the Indianapolis Colts to the tune of 26-20. Topics include: does Nick Martin dream of a flying Sage Rosenfels (?), Deshaun Watson’s middle of the field throws, the CHAD Hansen game, Kahale Warring’s almost touchdown catch, Houston’s pass protection problems, the years of child support T.Y. Last year, on the Saturday before Labor Day, Bill O’Brien traded two first round picks, a second round pick, and Julien Davenport, for Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills, and traded Jadeveon Clowney for Jacob Martin, a third round pick, and Barkevious Mingo. The end of the summer, the summer that we never had is here. Dozens of men in Houston’s bubble, have been attending meanings, playing practice squad, working drill after drill with position groups, running ladders, moving sleds, and hitting one another, while fantasizing it was someone else. The sad truth, and the hard truth, is that after a month plus of exhausting work, a fourth of them will go home, sit, and wait for the phone to ring, while lifting weights in their garage and playing polygon football on a television laying on the floor. Most never will. Most have reached the end of their rope. Most will be names that we as fans may vaguely remember, and laugh about, while washing our hands in some far away gas station bathroom. On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston, Carlos Flores, and Kenneth L., chomp away at the Texans bloated roster, eat the dreams of roster hopefuls, and cut the entire thing down to a slim and final 53. Topics include: how many quarterbacks the Texans will carry into 2020, Keke Coutee’s future in Houston, if Kahale Warring will be more than sideline eye candy this season, who backs up the Texans already known starting offensive line, base defense configuration, passing down pass rushes, secondary analysis, and of course, your beautiful and wonderful questions. Sorry Brandon Aiyuk, Jalen Hurd is lurking in San Francisco. Tough decision: Miles Sanders or Clyde Edwards-Helaire? Why drafting Joe Mixon over Michael Thomas makes perfect sense. Justin Jackson, Benny Snell, and J.D. McKissic poised for expanded roles this season. Joshua Kelley needs to prove himself on special teams. What if Aaron Jones or Ronald Jones test positive for Covid-19. Ke'Shawn Vaughn could be a big second half winner. Darren Waller is a good football player. Steven Sims needs to beat out Trey Quinn. A.J. Brown has a superior skill set to D.K. Metcalf. Nick Chubb looks like this year's Derrick Henry. Why are so many good analysts are bullish on Leonard Fournette? Kenyan Drake is currently being overdrafted. David Johnson is a good but snakebitten running back. Bryce Love must beat out Peyton Barber in Washington. Can Derrius Guice be the next Kareem Hunt for dynasty leaguers? Dontrell Hilliard looks like this year's Boston Scott. Lamar Jackson should be epic once again. Dak Prescott built a football field at his house! No one has more late round upside than Cam Newton. Why a breakout season is coming for N'Keal Harry. Michael Gallup is super-talented and should be targeted in fantasy football. Matthew Stafford is the absolute best QB to stack with in best ball tournaments. Deebo Samuel is only good for best ball tournaments. D.J. Chark is going to melt faces this year. Is Russel Gage arbitrage Calvin Ridley? Marquise Brown was smart to beef up to 180-pounds. Teddy Bridgewater will thrive with D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel and Robby Anderson at wide receiver. Jamison Crowder going before Sterling Shepard in fantasy drafts makes no sense. Jaylen Samuels and Rex Burkhead are Swiss Army Knife players. Stacking Will Fuller and Randall Cobb in best ball makes a lot of sense. Adam Trautman will dwarf Kahale Warring and Josh Oliver as an NFL tight end. Paul is joined by Sigmund Bloom (@SigmundBloom) of Football Guys to discuss the 2019 rookies, their landing spots and the biggest storylines by position. The discussion starts at the quarterback position with the upside of Kyler Murray, how early could he go in rookie drafts, and what is his overall upside. Next, they quickly discuss Drew Lock, Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins.  Next the focus is shifted to the running backs. The two of them discuss the consensus top three rookie RBs in Josh Jacobs, Miles Sanders and David Montgomery. Sigmund discusses why he is so high on Jacobs and why he has some reservations about Montgomery in the short term and long term.  Next, they discuss Darrell Henderson, where he should be going in drafts, his ceiling if Gurley is never the same and his floor even if Gurley is okay to play starter snaps. They also discuss why it was a perfect landing spot and marriage between player, team and scheme. To close out the running back discussion, they discuss Damien Harris and Justice Hill and their possible roles and why their landing spots make them even more intriguing.  Next they discuss many of the top rookie wide receivers and their short and long term impact. One receiver they go in depth on is N'Keal Harry as they try to figure out how he may be utilized in the Patriots offense. They also discuss the Arizona Cardinals rookie receivers and who has the most long term value.  To close out the show, they discussion the top rookie tight ends, TJ Hockenson, Noah Fant, Irv Smith Jr, Jace Sternberger, Kahale Warring, Dawson Knox and Josh Oliver. They also discuss the upside of Dallas Goedart to Noah Fant and why it is not crazy to prefer Goedart for the long term.  To purchase the S2S Premium Notebooks for $9.99 or to read the full descriptions of what is in each notebooks, click here. RotoUnderworld Radio Fantasy Football Podcast - Mind of Mansion, Ep 440: The Podfather Matt Kelley (@Fantasy_Mansion) and Graham Barfield (@GrahamBarfield) debate Josh Jacobs vs. Miles Sanders across all fantasy formats. Julian Edelman is a screaming value based on the Law of the Conservation of Targets. Todd Gurley's knee is officially a real problem. How high will Darrell Henderson's ADP soar in seasonal formats?  Better Rams RB stash: Malcolm Brown or John Kelly? Breshad Perriman is in rhythm with Jameis Winston early in camp! Ronald Jones is getting relentless mini-camp hype. Is there a better middle round tight end pick than OJ Howard? Mecole Hardman has the highest redraft ADP among rookie wide receivers. Time to stash Demarcus Robinson in dynasty leagues? Courtland Sutton vs. DaeSean Hamilton: Decoding the Denver WR target distribution. Royce Freeman vs. Phillip Lindsay:  Decoding the Denver RB touch distribution. Whose late breakout is more concerning: Parris Campbell or Hakeem Butler?  More overrated: Zach Ertz or George Kittle? Is Dallas Goedert a truly strong breakout candidate this season? Kahale Warring is a top sleeper tight end in this rookie class. Emanuel Hall going undrafted was a true shocker. Why Aaron Rodgers should be off-limits in seasonal leagues. Is Dexter Williams a real threat to Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams?  Is Jake Kumerow a real threat to Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown?  Ryquell Armstead is very, very intriguing. Are we sure Patrick Mahomes will outscore Deshaun Watson this season?  Riley Ridley enthusiasm is perplexing. Is Mitchell Trubisky the next Blake Bortles?  David Montgomery is a tackle-breaking machine. More likely: Allen Robinson bounce back or Anthony Miller breakout?  Keke Coutee is primed for a sophomore breakout. Tyler Lockett is explosive Doug Baldwin. Are we sleeping on David Moore?  Tevin Coleman is the only healthy running back in San Francisco and that matters. RotoUnderworld Radio Fantasy Football Podcast - Mind of Mansion, Ep 435: The Podfather Matt Kelley (@Fantasy_Mansion) and George Kritikos (@RotoHack) vigorously debate whether Nick Chubb is a buy or a sell candidate in fantasy football dynasty leagues. Dwayne Haskins is a must-have in 2-QB/Superflex leagues.  Tyree Jackson is a sleeper QBs in this draft class. Josh Jacobs looks the part of an elite NFL running back. Dexter Williams is big, young and productive. What if the Kansas City Chiefs draft Bryce Love?  Bust-proof big slot comparison: N'Keal Harry vs. AJ Brown. Alpha X receiver comparison: D.K. Metcalf vs. Hakeem Butler Stretch-plus receiver comparison: Parris Campbell vs. Andy Isabella Size-adjusted athlete comparison: JJ Arcega Whiteside vs. Emmanuel Hall How risky is Kelvin Harmon?  Jazz Ferguson's transfer creates value in rookie drafts. Juston Christian from Marist is a very deep small school sleeper. Comparing can't miss tight end prospects: T.J. Hochenson vs. Noah Fant Kaleb Wilson was a monster producer. Kahale Warring is an athletic monster. Rumors of the Seahawks trading Russell Wilson were laughable. Will the Cardinals select Kyler Murray and trade Josh Rosen? Vegas has already drained the value from Browns bets. Ronald Jones should have stayed in school. Christian Kirk is the perfect combination of value and upside. JuJu Smith-Schuster is in Antonio Brown's head. Will Smith-Schuster outscore Brown in fantasy football this season?  What do dynasty leaguers do with Tyreek Hill?  George Kittle is coming for Travis Kittle in dynasty. Jason Witten is an underrated one-year rental in dynasty. Jonnu Smith and Gerald Everett are high upside young tight ends. Latavius Murray should outscore Mark Ingram this season. Dwayne Washington is at the bottom of the Truther well. Devin Funchess can be the "big slot WR" that every NFL team is thirsting for?  Did you know Chester Rogers received a second round tender?  Keelan Cole will win the starting wide receiver job in Jacksonville.   Kenny Stills will benefit most from Ryan Fitzpatrick landing in Miami. Keeping a candle lit for Marcus Mariota. Deshaun Watson will propel numerous fantasy-relevant assets in Houston. Keke Coutee is primed for a breakout sooner rather than later. DaeSean Hamilton and Sterling Shepard are top buys in dynasty leagues. T.J. Yeldon and James White are strong buys in dynasty leagues. Mike Williams is still on a bust trajectory. Chris Carson, Jordan Howard and Derrick Henry are sells in dynasty due to a lack of receiving skills. Tarik Cohen and Aaron Jones are ascending and yet scary holds in dynasty. Evan Engram is primed for a major bounceback season. Donte Moncrief could have a Martavis Bryant-esque season in Pittsburgh. They discuss the future of Marcus Mariota and what he needs to prove- as well as the acquisition of Ryan Tannehill and what that may mean for the 2019 season. The the team dives into the Titans’ day 2 picks of wide receiver AJ Brown, Ole Miss and Guard Nate Davis, Charlotte- their potential roles on the Titans and their ceilings & floors. Then finish up the Titans with a discussion of the day 3 players -including falling talent safety Amani Hooker, Iowa as well as D’Andre Walker, Georgia and linebacker David Long Jr., West Virginia. Then the group dives into the Texans and their lackluster draft- mixed feelings on high upside picks early in offensive tackle Tytus Howard, Alabama State and second round corner Lonnie Johnson, Kentucky as well as the other day 2 picks offensive tackle Max Scharping, Northern Illinois and tight end Kahale Warring, San Diego State. The Texans first two days of selections seem very high variance with little floor. The day 3 picks of defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, Texas and corner Xavier Crawford, Central Michigan mak you feel a bit better but still enamoured with such a draft, Next the trio gets into the luck of the Jacksonville Jaguars- snagging both Edge defender Josh Allen, Kentucky in the first and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor, Florida- who fell for medical concerns. With 2 top ten-fifteen talents drafted by the Jaguars- the rest of their draft, including tight end Josh Oliver, San Jose State, lineback Quincy Williams, Murray State, Runningback Ryquell Armstead, Temple, QB Gardner Minshew, Washington State & DI Dontavius Russell, Auburn- seems to almost just serve as a shot to grab other potential fits for their team. The group jumps into the future of Nick Foles in Jacksonville and what went wrong for the Jags Offensive Coordinator, John Defilipo, in Minnesota.Lastly, the crew finishes up with the AFC South’s odds on favorite to win the division- the Indianapolis Colts and their massive draft haul. The Colts constantly traded down accruieing picks for both this and next year’s draft- as well as adding talent in Round 2 with Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, Temple, Edge Ben Banogu, TCU and speed freak wide receiver Parris Campbell, Ohio State- then round out day 2 with a third round selection, announced by Pat Mcafee, of linebacker Bobby Okereke, Stanford. The colts then used Day 3 to stock up on Safety with the selections of safety Khari Willis, Michigan State and S Marvell Tell, USC. Grab another Linebacker prospect/potential special teamer E.J. Speed, Tarleton State & finally grab some developmental prospects at Edge defender with Gerri Green, Mississippi State and offensive line with Tackle Jackson Barton, Utah and C Javon Patterson, Ole Miss.
