Do you go often? Running a convention Buying games/merch at cons Personal convention highlight/stories How can they improve? Community Couch All N Eric — Today at 1:16 PM Easily one of my favorite moments was when I got to film all these celebrities giving shoutouts back to my Army unit. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpXgLZkwd-s&pp=ygUUV2l6YXJkIGNvbiBzaG91dG91dHM%3D Wizard Con Shoutouts Eric Plunk — Today at 1:23 PM I got to be part of the Nintendo Dads panel to talk about retro gaming at the con in my home town. And by panel I mean just me and Marty Estes I was also introduced to the girl that voiced Ash from Pokemon. adam — Today at 1:23 PM i was going to origins game fair with my friends, and one of the features of the con was the ability to pitch a board game you designed to publishers with the intent of either getting advice or possibly being picked up by the publisher and have your board game sold. my friend sam had been developing a game for awhile called ‘go for the krill' a whale themed trick taking card game, and he was planning on pitching it at the convention. while we were in line to get tickets we struck up a conversation with the guy behind us we all hit it off, and it turns out he owned a board game company and he picked up my friends game and it's gonna be launched in the near future! OctoRock_1982 — Today at 2:07 PM My favorite convention memory is getting to spending time with Dan, John and Trey. DoubleD — Today at 2:35 PM A good friend and I took our sons to Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, Germany (pictured is the FFXV wristband I still have from the event). It was such an amazing and over the top event, and while I was originally excited for myself, I quickly switched gears and I let my son take over and decide how we spent our time there. It was my first large gaming event like this, so I didn't realize how much time we would spend waiting in line though. My favorite thing there was the Tekken 7 booth, but it was bittersweet, because we waited in line for a while to play it, and then found out that my son was too young and they wouldn't let him play it even though I was his father. Very strange, but still a great experience overall. Your Wallet's Defense Attorney — Today at 2:36 PM I've only ever been to Anime Midwest, and that was more to chaperone my sister. It was fun tho. It was really surreal seeing a bunch of people dressed up in cosplay, and it was fun trying to see how many I recognized. I got a picture with Pepsi Man. We went to a few panels of varying quality, from a professional samurai to some people who just bought a ton of Kazoos. We did Karaoke, and I sang Call Me Maybe, The Kirby Right Back At Ya Theme, Bye Bye Baby (Giants home run theme), Full Disclosure (Steven Universe), and Ya Got Trouble (Music Man). Someone sang Escape from the City (SA2) and the Phineas and Ferb Theme Song. It was a good time! txTrey — Today at 5:25 PM I took my son to CGF yesterday morning near opening time and he played a demo of a game called Ghost Ship Grannies. The game is an RPG about a group of grannies who get shipwrecked and you have to find the other grannies and do RPG things. Then when I obligatorily signed up for the email list after talking to the game's artist I saw 2 lines up on the sheet someone had signed up with the SAME FIRST.LAST@gmail.com address as my son's name! It was the most coincidental moment that has happened to me at a convention. That was the question, right? Thanks for listening to the RetroLogic Podcast! Sonia C. has noticed that a lot of her clients are having some huge challenges post-ellipse. Of course, she's here to support but it's been intense navigating and guiding her clients through the emotions! Sonia T. was exhausted during the ellipse, and so were her clients. The readings were showing that everyone was zapped of energy. This week's theme is: Rest and Reset. Highlights: It's time to surrender to rest and reset. [2:10] What area of life has Sonia T. been wanting to improve upon lately? [4:25] What does Sonia T. love about Kazoos? [7:00] Sonia C. pulled out her joy and creativity guides post-eclipse to help her clients tap into their fun sides. [10:10] Everything has been heavy lately, and Sonia C. is over it! [11:30] It's so important to prime the mind for goodness. [20:35] Sonia C. encourages your play like crazy! [28:00] Tool of the week. [28:15] Question of the week. [36:50] Although the eclipse was about two weeks ago, the thing about the eclipse is that they really illuminate what's on the scene and they bring out huge changes that cause a ripple effect. Whenever you get a ‘rare' astrological or environmental event like this, it takes a minute for mother earth to get back to the rhythm and flow of things. During that time, it really disrupts our vibration and highlights some of the things we have been ignoring. After this event, Sonia C. has been feeling it in the air that she wants to change and she wants to learn new things. Sonia C. got a huge hit to learn French at a higher level and although she often operates in her right brain space, she thinks it's time for a left-brain tune up and learning a new language is a great way of doing that. Wow! Another season down, and this one has been wrapped up so soon – so, naturally, we're embarking on our now-obligatory season retrospective. Season 7 was the beginning of a new era for the show – new Doctor, Earthbound storylines, and the consistent involvement of UNIT. What do the Watchers think of this brave new era – does the change in format pay off, or is it just Quatermass in Doctor Who cosplay? Along the way, Reilly feels a strong need to act on his MORAL DUTY, Julie finds a way to talk about Jamie (even though he's not in this season), Anthony comes up with a way to turn the show into Sliders, and Don espouses his love for Professor Stahlman. The entire crew repeatedly slate the music from Doctor Who and the Silurians. Our show is broken into eight segments. Here’s a breakdown of what goes down in today’s show! (Tip: you can easily move between segments using the chapter feature in your podcast app!) Segment 1: We open the show with our usual banter. We discuss the turmoil with Gamestop stock and Hayden encourages us to keep his boss in his prayers (though Zach misses the point just a tad). Segment 2: The team talks about some stories surrounding Joe Biden, wind turbines, and cardboard cutouts at the Super Bowl. Segment 3: We talk about kazoos and Joe Biden. Segment 4: Boomer’s running for mayor of Madison. Segments 5 & 6: We bring Ronald Gulick on to discuss the “back-door” coronavirus test and kazoos. Segment 7: Zach relays a story about a police officer who had a strange, naked man crawl into his police car. Segment 8: We close the show talking about Biden’s early actions in office and a influencer cancelled for her support of Donald Trump. Arlia is joined by Cathryn the Grateful, a fellow priestess and sacred activist in the first of two episodes. Cathryn the Grateful was born in Macon, GA and raised in Asheville, NC by an artist and a psychologist. When her mother said, “Life isn't fair,” Cathryn responded, “I'm here to make it fair” (to which her mother replied with a grin — “good luck with that”) and from there, a journey of joyful justice work has unfolded. Cathryn's love of community, creativity, and the Earth was cultivated at an early age as a member of Jubilee! Community Church in Asheville (where she was ordained a Minister of Movement in 2018). She trained as a clown in her teens, and was active in theater and debate throughout high school. A graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Cathryn moved to New York in her twenties, where she conceived and created FULLY AWAKE, a feature documentary about the legendary Black Mountain College (1933-1957) an experiment in education that birthed the American Avant Garde. The film has screened worldwide from art museums to film festivals to community centers. Cathryn began her civic work as a 13-year-old volunteer for Senate candidate Harvey Gantt (running against Jesse Helms) and worked on two campaigns in NC, planting a lifelong interest in politics. Aware of the deeply entrenched injustice of unfettered capitalism and systemic racism, Cathryn has taken part in actions as part of Occupy Wall Street, a lawsuit against Monsanto, the SC Poor People's Campaign, as well as creating a WAKE THE NATION documentary film series and other awareness-raising campaigns for justice issues. A graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Cathryn is a committed student of planet, producing public television shows about gardening and permaculture for Growing a Greener World and working for an open-pollinated seed company, Sow True Seed. A passionate sacred activist, Cathryn strongly believes in the importance of creativity, storytelling, and community as we co-create a just world for all. She served as Executive Director of Enough Pie, a non-profit in Charleston, SC's Upper Peninsula that uses creativity to connect and empower the community for the past six years. Enough Pie (www.enoughpie.org) works with community members to co-create creative, out-of-the-box ideas and partnerships that embolden people to take action. She is also the founder of The Joyful Revolution (www.joyfulrevolution.org), a movement for planet, people & pleasure, inspired by the visionary work of adrianne maree brown (Emergent Stratgey), Octavia Butler (Earthseed), and Tom Robbins. Cathryn practices movement as medicine, and is follows the vision of dancing through life. She has a movement studio – The Sanctuary – at her home in Charleston SC where she hosts small group dance and individual movement healing as well as Zoom moon cycle dances (New Moon & Full Moon) for a wider audience. Today she co-directs A Living Temple, a non-denominational church that celebrates creation where she leads regular dance & prayer offerings and serves as a celebrant. “Come dance with me. Come Dance.” – Hafiz

You may have seen the poster in our intro video... or you may have missed it. Hidden in the background of our garage set was the poster emblazoned with the words "Kazoos are for Lovers!" In our early meetings, when we discussed what kinds of art and props should populate our cartoon world, we joked about having posters for random things that didn't actually exist... but now after this recording session - it actually does exist! Check out our new song, Kazoos are for Lovers and listen in on how we wrote it!

Budgeting, logistics, and constant interaction with others play a significant role in creating moments of a lifetime and dealing with the effects of COVID-19 Coronavirus and how we respond to it, is challenging but manageable. I realize you’re trying to figure out your next steps, don’t worry. I’m here to help YOU. Take a moment to listen to a few of my suggestions to get you started right now during this unprecedented time. Tip Number 1:Your first decision is to figure out if you want to reschedule or cancel. If your wedding is set for the Spring of 2020 get on the phone and contact your vendors immediately. Determine what future dates are available. Communication is key. Be pro-active and initiate dialogue immediately. Tip Number 2: Find out how much it will cost, if you decide to cancel your event. This means pulling out all of your vendor contracts and reviewing their cancellation policy. Pro Tip: Ask if your payment schedule will shift along with the new wedding date. Tip Number 3: If you change the date of your wedding you always have the option of having a civil ceremony with just the two of you. Then, once conditions are much better for all concerned, throw the biggest, baddest, party ever! Kazoos for everyone! Tip Number 4: Update your wedding website with the latest information about your wedding. This is a convenient and effective way to communicate the most recent news, they can use. Other economical methods to deliver up to date details is through word of mouth, text, or email. Tip Number 5: If you have a significant reduction in your original guest count here’s a way to recoup a few dollars. Run straight to your jam-packed 3-ring binder of wedding stuff and look for receipts? Are there any returnable items you’ve bought such as favors, décor, or candles? Unless its miniature bottles of sanitizer for everyone I would try and get my money back. Tip Number 6:Please check updates regarding COVID-19 Coronavirus on the websites for the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Their links are in the show notes. We’re in this together, so let’s do this! Thanks for listening to BUSY BRIDE 101, Wedding Planning Tips for the bride on the go! In Kamen Rider Zero One, the final confrontation with Metsuboujinrai.net begins! Who will win, who will lose? I mean... there are like 30 more episodes in the season, so not looking too great for our #1 extinction fans. Especially since our heroes are getting new upgrades like every episode, whoa. Gaim coverage starts around 16:05 ! If you hear some downtempo jams, you're in the right place. In Kamen Rider Gaim, it seems like Takatora couldn't perceive his underlings' evil intentions if he was bashed in the head with them. So instead, they decide to stab them into his back, in the form of a hilariously drawn out series of betrayals. But don't worry, Micchy is there! Good old trustworthy Micchy! Surely he will make the right decision here, and it'll all be fine! Star Wars full spoilers begin around 39:45 and run through end of episode. If you hear Kazoos, you're unfortunately in the right place. Finally, our two hosts sit and talk about the newest movie in the beloved legendary Star Wars franchise, The Rise of Skywalker. They do not like it. And express this for over 45 minutes. If you think it's harrowing to listen to, at least we didn't charge you like 20 bucks and make you sit through the previews that I forgot to get mad about since I had enough on my mind. Send comments, corrections, or questions of literally any sort to brokusatsu@gmail.com ! And if you like what we're doing, leave us a review on iTunes. Intro: "Life", by Bisou Gaim Intro: "War Inside", by Kesta Star Wars Intro / Outro: Star Wars medley by the Mos Eisley Kazoo Orchestra
You know when restaurants put a small icon of a fork next to the House-Favorite items? We dub thy savory pod THREE AND A HALF forks! It's that good. Clase, Mason, and Landen dive a little deeper to unbury their mental illnesses, Mason misses a golden opportunity to score a black-market kazoo, and in this episode, we sing, we scream, and most importantly, we ca-ching (thanks to our sponsor, "Skin-Loosening Wipes").Join us as we blow your socks on (you looked cold) with masterful games like: Acapella Karaoke, You Mad Bro?, 90s Factoid Quizzicals, and Facebook Rewind. And join the Tattle-Tale Army over on Facebook at "I'm Telling Mom Podcast"... we'll keep the light on for ya. Oh, what? Copyrighted? So... like... Motel 6 wouldn't be cool with that, then? Hey Stephen -- can you just look into that real quick before this goes live? Also, where are my nail-trimmers, BRO?!

To be a children’s artist, or any artist really, you need to hunt. A constant hunt for work, for exposure, and for the next payday. Scott calls BS on dudes that choose to eat muffins over other breakfast foods. Clay calls BS on Kazoos. A Podcast About The Not So Obvious BS In Our Lives I Call B******t is hosted by Scott Newton and Clay Parker. Marshall Robinson on 3rd Mic. On each episode we both bring up a topic, call BS on it, and defend our position. We don’t know what each other’s topic will be. We do some research and try to present our case as best we can, BUT we’re experts of nothing. In this FRESH NEW Pop/Rock, Shawn and Cameron discuss STRFKR’s superb 2013 album, Miracle Mile. Also: the Texas Cowboy Club, tailgating a rock show, and the most experimental comedy Shawn ever did. But we’re kind of burying the lead here: most importantly, these boys got KAZOOS!
