What does true inclusion really mean?In this episode, Archita Puranik speaks with Madhu Krishnan, founder of Inclusive World, about her remarkable journey from a successful career in technology to building a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.Madhu shares how a chance encounter with families of children on the autism spectrum led her to create programs that focus on abilities rather than limitations. The conversation explores common misconceptions about disability, the impact of low expectations, the importance of meaningful participation, and how inclusive communities can transform lives. From inspiring success stories to practical insights on creating opportunities for all, this episode is a powerful reminder that inclusion is not about simply sharing space—it's about ensuring everyone has the opportunity to learn, contribute, belong, and thrive.Guest: Madhu KrishnanHost/Producer: Archita Puranik Sound: Mahesh R.

Did you ever walk into a conference session thinking you were ready for the week, only to realise the announcements were coming so fast that you almost needed an agent of your own to keep up? That was the mood across Las Vegas, and it was the backdrop for my conversation with Madhu Parthasarathy, the general manager for Agent Core at AWS. He has spent the week at the centre of AWS's wave of agentic AI news, working on the ideas that are already moving from keynotes and demos into the hands of real enterprise teams. Sitting down with him offered a rare moment of clarity among the noise, and his calm take on what actually matters helped bring the bigger picture into focus. Madhu talked through the thinking behind Agent Core and why he believes 2026 will be the year enterprises finally begin shifting from prototypes to production scale agents. He walked me through the two areas customers keep coming back to, trust and performance, and why the new policy framework and agent evaluations could remove long standing barriers to deployment. His examples were grounded in real behaviour he is seeing inside large companies, whether that is internal support workloads, developer productivity, meeting preparation, or customer facing flows designed to reduce the friction between intent and outcome. We also explored the deeper shift introduced by Nova Forge, including the idea of blending enterprise data with model checkpoints to create domain specific agents that can work with greater accuracy and context. Madhu explained why there will never be a one size fits all model and how choice remains central to AWS's approach to agentic AI. My guest also reflected on how infrastructure changes, such as Trainium three ultra servers and expanded Nova model families, are shaping the pace at which companies can experiment, evaluate, and adopt emerging capabilities. Trust surfaced again and again in our conversation. Madhu was clear that non-deterministic systems also introduce concerns, which is why action boundaries and guardrails are becoming as important as model quality. He described the excitement he is seeing from customers who now feel they have workable ways to give agents responsibility without handing over the keys entirely. As he put it, this is the moment where confidence begins to grow because the guardrails finally meet the expectations of enterprise leaders. We closed with the topic many people have been whispering about all week, modernization. Madhu reflected on AWS Transform, the push to help organisations move away from legacy architectures far faster than before, and the impact that agentic systems will have as they support full stack migrations across Windows environments and custom languages. Madhu cuts through the noise with a grounded view of reliable autonomy, multi agent orchestration, policy driven safety, and the shift toward agents as true collaborators. The question now is where you see the biggest opportunity. How might these agent-based systems change your workflows, and what would it take for you to trust them with the tasks you never seem to have time for? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Technovation with Peter High (CIO, CTO, CDO, CXO Interviews)
What's stopping AI from scaling across the enterprise? For Madhu Ramamurthy, CIO of Zurich North America, it's not the technology. It's the culture. In this episode, Madhu shares how he's navigating the paradox of AI: a tool with unprecedented potential, surrounded by institutional resistance, unclear regulations, and cultural misalignment. He outlines Zurich's approach to responsible AI deployment, organizational change, and ethical tech use. Key highlights include: How “organizational antibodies” can kill innovation before it scales The case for explainability and governance in AI development Why domain expertise is more valuable than tech fluency Building AI-native teams outside of legacy systems Madhu's warning on digital flattery and sycophantic AI
For the 104th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we are joined by Madhu Narasimhan, CIO at DaVita, to talk about leveraging AI! We kick this episode off by discussing how being a CIO is different in healthcare than in other industries and what is required to be successful in this high-stakes environment. Next, Narasimhan shares some of the ways that she’s been leveraging AI from an operational perspective. Then, we talk about how AI is being applied for clinical impact. We then get into analyzing how AI can improve quality and whether or not that plays a role in Narasimhan’s vetting process for AI applications. We shift our focus from AI over to data. With kidney disease, a lot of medical complexities tend to ensue, leaving patients to navigate a fragmented system. We discuss what can be done to help these patients move from this fragmented system to receiving whole-person care. Next, Narasimhan talks about how she is leveraging the rich dataset kidney care has and putting it to work for her patients. Then, Narasimhan shares the best piece of advice she’s been given in her career. Lastly, we conclude this episode as we debate how to balance the operational needs with innovation and living on the edge of discomfort. Here’s a look at the questions and topics we discuss in this episode: How is being a CIO different in healthcare, where the stakes are different than other industries? What’s required from a CIO to be successful in this high-stakes environment? What are some of the ways that you’re leveraging AI from an operational perspective? How about AI being applied for clinical impact? Is looking at how it improves quality how you vet AI applications? Most patients with kidney disease have a lot of medical complexities as they navigate a fragmented system. What can be done to move from fragmentation to whole-person care? Kidney care has one of the richest health datasets. How are you leveraging that dataset and putting it to work for patients? What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your career? This week, Monika unpacks the buzz around Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) — the newest category in India's investing landscape. Positioned between mutual funds and Portfolio Management Services (PMS), SIFs promise more flexibility for fund managers and new opportunities for investors willing to take calculated risks. Monika explains how SIFs differ from mutual funds, which operate within tightly defined categories, and PMS products, which cater to high-net-worth investors. With a ₹10 lakh minimum investment and the ability to use advanced “long-short” strategies, SIFs aim to deliver returns whether markets rise or fall.Monika highlights that while the product sounds exciting, investors must tread carefully. India's market culture is still largely “long-biased,” and true shorting strategies require deep conviction and expertise. SEBI's educational arm, NISM, has already raised questions about whether most fund houses are equipped to use this flexibility effectively. Given the lack of performance history and untested strategies, Monika advises investors to wait for at least a year of data before deciding if SIFs are truly worth the risk or just regulatory innovation without substance. In listener questions, Chandrasekharan K from Thrissur asks about the best way to invest in smart beta ETFs under a direct plan and whether high brokerage costs can be avoided. Feby Daniel from Bengaluru seeks guidance on making tax-efficient withdrawals while moving from equity ETFs to debt ETFs through a laddering strategy. Madhu, shares a dilemma on whether to buy a ₹90 lakh home outright or take a smaller loan and invest the rest in mutual funds.Chapters:(00:00–00:00) Understanding Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs)(00:00–00:00) The Long-Short Strategy and Its Limitations(00:00–00:00) Should You Invest in SIFs Now or Wait?(00:00–00:00) Smart Beta ETFs and Direct Plan Challenges(00:00–00:00) Buying a Home vs Taking a Loan: Finding Peace in OwnershipIf you have financial questions that you'd like answers for, please email us at mailme@monikahalan.com Monika's book on basic money managementhttps://www.monikahalan.com/lets-talk-money-english/Monika's book on mutual fundshttps://www.monikahalan.com/lets-talk-mutual-funds/Monika's workbook on recording your financial lifehttps://www.monikahalan.com/lets-talk-legacy/Calculatorshttps://investor.sebi.gov.in/calculators/index.htmlYou can find Monika on her social media @monikahalan. In this episode of Brown and Happy, we sit down with Madhu, a South Asian mother, finance professional, and community advocate, for a deeply personal and powerful conversation about domestic violence in South Asian communities. Madhu lives in Somerset, NJ with her beautiful 9-year-old daughter and her adorable 5-year-old, four-legged son, Tofu. She is the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Client Manager at Wealth Planning Advisory Group in Bedminster, NJ. Madhu also serves as the Board Treasurer for Manavi, a pioneering organization dedicated to ending violence against South Asian women. Madhu shares her insight and experiences, along with her work as Board Treasurer for Manavi—a New Jersey–based nonprofit that has been supporting South Asian survivors of gender-based violence since 1985. Together, we explore the cultural stigma that keeps survivors silent, the role of organizations like Manavi, and how community-based healing and justice are possible. This conversation is for anyone who wants to understand the intersection of culture, silence, survival, and strength.

O jiva soul, arise and give up your sleep. Chant the holy names of Lord Hari, who is the giver of liberation; the enemy of the Mura demon; the supreme enjoyer; the all-attractive one; and the horse-headed incarnation, Hayagriva. 2) Lord Hari [Krsna] incarnated as the half-man, half-lion, Nrsimha. He appeared as a dwarf-brahmana named Upendra and is the killer of the Madhu demon. He is the beloved son of the King of Vraja, Nanda Maharaja, and is blackish in complexion. He is the slayer of the Putana witch and the destroyer of the demon Kaitabha. All glories to Lord Hari, who appeared as Lord Rama, the son of King Dasaratha. 3) He is the darling of mother Yasoda; the giver of pleasure to the cows, land, and spiritual senses; and the protector of the cows. He is the Lord of the Vrndavana forest; the gopis' beloved; the lover of Radhika; and the most beautiful personality in all the worlds. 4) As Ramacandra He brought about the end of the demoniac King Ravana; as Krsna He stole the older gopis' butter; He stole the younger gopis' clothes while they were bathing in the Yamuna. He is a cowherd boy of Vraja and the protector of the cowherd boys. He steals the hearts of all and always holds a flute. 5) Lord Krsna is worshiped by the best of yogis and is the son of Nanda. He removes all the fears of the inhabitants of Vraja. He is the color of a fresh rain cloud, and His form is enchanting. When He wanders about, playing His flute, He looks very charming. 6) He is the son of Yasoda and the killer of King Kamsa, and He sports in the rasa dance among the groves of Vraja. Krsna engages in this rasa dance underneath the kadamba trees, and He resides in the forest of Vrndavana. 7) He increases the ecstasy of His devotees. He is the reservoir of all love and is the transcendental Cupid who uses His flowered arrows to increase the loving desires of the gopis. He is the pleasure of the gopis' hearts and the abode of all wonderful qualities. 8) Lord Krsna is the life of the River Yamuna. He is always absorbed in amorous pastimes, and He is the moon of the gopis' minds, which are like the cakora birds that subsist only upon moonlight. O mind, obey these words of mine and sing the glories of Sri Krsna in the form of these holy names, which are full of nectarean mellows. In this episode of Skincare Anarchy, Ekta introduces the co-founders of Lion Pose, Nisha Phatak and Madhu Punjabi, who share their inspiring journey from tech professionals to skincare innovators. Ekta, who struggled with acne and sensitive skin, highlights the importance of finding effective skincare solutions that work for various skin concerns.Madhu and Nisha recount their pivot from creating an infant formula company to launching Lion Pose, driven by the desire to address postpartum skin issues such as hyperpigmentation and melasma. They emphasize the lack of rigorous clinical testing in the skincare industry and their commitment to filling this gap by ensuring their products are tested on all skin tones and through true clinical trials, not just consumer perception surveys.Madhu shares her personal experience with skin bleaching, a common yet harmful practice influenced by colorism, and how this inspired them to create safe, effective products that embrace natural skin tones. Nisha discusses the development of their flagship product, the Unspotted Jelly Night Serum, which combines glycolic, lactic, tranexamic, and azelaic acids to exfoliate and inhibit pigmentation, delivering remarkable results for diverse skin types. The conversation also delves into their mineral sunscreen, Ghostbuster, designed to be moisturizing and free from the chalky residue typical of mineral sunscreens. With 15% non-nano zinc oxide and squalene, it provides broad-spectrum protection while boosting skin hydration. We reflect on the importance of inclusive skincare, the need for transparency in the industry, and the significant impact of South Asian-founded brands. Tune in to learn about Lion Pose's dedication to science-backed skincare and their mission to raise industry standards for all skin types. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
