There are rankings in photography that I had no idea even existed. For example, the #1 Fearless Photographer in North America, and Top 3 in the World, for 2021 is Jason Vinson. He's also ranked as one of the Top 100 Fearless Photographers of all time. I am intrigued, and that alone makes me want to meet him. Jason is a multi-award winning wedding and documentary photographer, based out of Northwest Arkansas, and the awards list is impressive, with awards from Junebug Weddings, World Best Wedding Photos, ISPWP, Masters of Wedding Photography, Documentary Family Awards, and more. Recognitions like that bring with them an audience that wants to learn, and Jason is a skilled speaker, instructor, writer, and content creator for establishments such as WPPI, Portrait Master, Rangefinder, PPA, Fstoppers, to name a few. Scott is a former 7th grade special education math teacher turned world renowned wedding photographer and educator. He has photographed over 400 weddings and is an ambassador for some of the largest companies in the industry - MagMod, SLR Lounge, Sprout Studio, PBSCO, and Visual Flow. Scott created his educational coaching brand Purpose & Process during the pandemic in 2020 when he saw a way to combine his two true passions - teaching and photography. Dave Shay is an entrepreneurially-minded photographer who loves working at the intersection of art and technology. Neil is a UK based wedding photographer who is best known for his use of creative off camera flash. He has shot over 450 weddings all over the UK and overseas, including Hong Kong, Italy, France, Spain and Greece. Neil, who is an Ambassador for MagMod, also runs a successful YouTube channel for wedding photographers where he shares behind the scenes content and videos showing how he creates many of his favourite images. The MagMod system works for small flash and now they're getting into support for strobes. Find out why so many small flash photographers love MagMod and see if it's right for your photography. I'll be the first to say that the MagMod light modifiers are not inexpensive. However, there are built to last, lightweight and small to fit in your bag, and offer a wide array of options to create beautiful light for your subjects and background. I've used the MagMod light modifiers for a couple of years, and now I'm trying out their MagBox - they're version of an octabox that works with either small flash or studio strobes. We'll go over all of the options, the prices, and I hope this helps you understand if the MagMod system is something you should investigate for your photography.
