I met Nikea in Twelve Step and am honored to be able to share her story with you guys :) After childhood antics smoking weed and drinking, Nike was given the ultimatum - move out or join the Army. She chose the Army. Shipped off to South Korea after bootcamp, Nikea's life changed after a sexual assault that occurred the second weekend after her arrival. This assault led to a behavioral spiral of acting out and escalating partying. Eventually finding sobriety in 2023, Nikea is such an asset in our recovery community and in my life. Nikea Gamby-Turner is an actress living in Los Angeles, California. She can currently be seen on Abbott Elementary and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. By the age of 13, Nikea was a 34DD. Developing so young and quickly caused her emotional issues. In college, she was finally able to fall in love with her breasts and find her sexual prowess. Then at 30 years old Nikea was diagnosed with breast cancer. She first had a lumpectomy and then 6 months later had a double mastectomy. In total, she had three surgeries within 5 years, her first one in 2004 and her last one in 2006. Nikea is about to celebrate her 20-year anniversary of being cancer-free. In this episode, we candidly talk about the emotional loss of losing our breasts to cancer and how that changes us sexually. We talk about how sex played a role in Nikea's healing. How the one thing she knew she could do that made her feel like a woman, was to have a lot of sex, and she did. We talk about how it took ten years for her to become comfortable looking in the mirror and walking around naked. How she had to spiral to some very dark places to then find the light. She had to mourn her loss and forgive herself for the way she went about dealing with herself when she had something in life that she could not control. How self-love is the best love and how it is a choice you make every day. We talk about the power of acceptance and living in your purpose. No longer dimming your light for others. I kirken bekjenner vi troen på «Jesus Kristus, vår Herre». Vi snakker om ham med mange navn, som Guds sønn, Immanuel, Frelseren, Messias, Den salvede, Kristus, Herrens tjener og Menneskesønnen, for å nevne noen av de mer kjente begrepene. Hvem er denne Jesus Kristus, som omtales med så mange navn? I dagens program snakker vi med Arne Helge Teigen om dette temaet. Arne Helge er doktor i systematisk teologi, og førsteamanuensis ved Fjellhaug internasjonale høgskole. Han har blant annet skrevet bøkene ”Innføring i kristen tro” og ”Ny-kalvinisme – en orientering”, og han er en av personene bak nettressursen foross.no Vi kommer inn på tema som jomfrufødselen, Kristi to naturer og hva det vil si at Jesus er vår frelser. Og vi så hans herlighet, en herlighet som den en enbåren Sønn har fra sin Far, full av nåde og sannhet. Johannes 1:1-3 I begynnelsen var Ordet, og Ordet var hos Gud, og Ordet var Gud. Teksten nedenfor er den oversettelsen som du finner her på foross.no. På podcasten leser jeg fra en annen, litt eldre oversettelse. Jeg tror at Jesus Kristus er sann Gud, født av Faderen fra evighet, og sant menneske, født av jomfru Maria. Han er min Herre, som har gjenløst meg fortapte og fordømte menneske, kjøpt meg fri og frelst meg fra alle synder, fra dødens og djevelens makt, ikke med gull eller sølv, men med sitt hellige, dyre blod og sin uskyldige lidelse og død. Dette har han gjort for at jeg skal være hens egen, leve under ham i hans rike og tjene ham i evig rettferd, uskyld og salighet, liksom han har stått opp fra de døde, lever og regjerer i evighet. Matteus 1:18-20 og Lukas 1:34-35 Disse versene siteres ikke direkte, ihvertfall ikke i sin helhet, men brukes som grunnlag for talen om jomfrufødselen. Med Jesu Kristi fødsel gikk det slik til: Hans mor, Maria, var forlovet med Josef. Men før de var kommet sammen, viste det seg at hun var med barn, ved Den Hellige Ånd. Josef, hennes mann, var rettferdig, og ville ikke føre skam over henne. Han ville skille seg fra henne i stillhet. Mens han nå tenkte på dette, se, da viste en Herrens engel seg for ham i en drøm og sa: Josef, Davids sønn! Frykt ikke for å ta Maria, din hustru, hjem til deg. For det som er unnfanget i henne, er av Den Hellige Ånd. --- Men Maria sa til engelen: Hvordan skal dette gå til da jeg ikke vet av mann? Engelen svarte og sa til henne: Den Hellige Ånd skal komme over deg, og Den Høyestes kraft skal overskygge deg. Derfor skal også det hellige som blir født, kalles Guds Sønn. Lukas 2:11 I dag er det født dere en frelser, som er Messias, Herren - i Davids by. Matteus 26:39 Og han gikk et lite stykke fram, falt på sitt ansikt og ba: Far! Er det mulig, så la dette begeret gå meg forbi! Men ikke som jeg vil, bare som du vil. Johannes 5:19-21 Jesus svarte da og sa til dem: Sannelig, sannelig sier jeg dere: Sønnen kan ikke gjøre noe av seg selv, men bare det han ser Faderen gjøre. For det han gjør, det gjør Sønnen likeså. For Faderen elsker Sønnen, og viser ham alt det han selv gjør. Og han skal vise ham større gjerninger enn disse, for at dere skal undre dere. For likesom Faderen reiser opp de døde og gjør levende, slik gjør også Sønnen levende dem han vil. Johannes 16:13-15 Men når han kommer, sannhetens Ånd, skal han veilede dere til hele sannheten. For han skal ikke tale av seg selv, men det han hører, skal han tale, og de kommende ting skal han forkynne dere. Han skal herliggjøre meg, for han skal ta av mitt og forkynne det for dere. Alt det som Faderen har, er mitt. Derfor sa jeg at han tar av mitt og forkynner for dere. Johannes 10:30 Jeg og Faderen er ett. Johannes 14:10-11 Tror du ikke at jeg er i Faderen, og Faderen i meg? De ordene jeg taler til dere, taler jeg ikke av meg selv, men Faderen, som blir i meg, han gjør sine gjerninger. 11Tro meg at jeg er i Faderen, og Faderen i meg. Om ikke for annet, så tro det for selve gjerningenes skyld. 2 Mos 3:13-14 Da sa Moses til Gud: Men når jeg nå kommer til Israels barn og sier til dem: Deres fedres Gud har sendt meg til dere! - og de så spør meg: Hva er hans navn? - Hva skal jeg da svare dem? Da sa Gud til Moses: Jeg er den jeg er. Og han sa: Så skal du si til Israels barn: JEG ER* har sendt meg til dere. Johannes 8:56-59 Abraham, deres far, frydet seg til å se min dag. Og han så den og gledet seg. Judeerne sa da til ham: Du er ennå ikke femti år og har sett Abraham? Jesus sa til dem: Sannelig, sannelig sier jeg dere: JEG ER før Abraham ble til. De tok da opp steiner for å kaste på ham. Men Jesus skjulte seg og gikk ut av templet. Matt 26:63-65 Og ypperstepresten sa til ham: Jeg tar deg i ed ved den levende Gud at du skal si oss om du er Messias, Guds Sønn! Jesus sier til ham: Du har sagt det! Men jeg sier dere: Fra nå av skal dere se Menneskesønnen sitte ved kraftens høyre hånd og komme på himmelens skyer. Da flerret ypperstepresten klærne sine og sa: Han har spottet Gud! Hva skal vi nå med vitner? Se, nå har dere hørt gudsbespottelsen. Johannes 5:21-23 For likesom Faderen reiser opp de døde og gjør levende, slik gjør også Sønnen levende dem han vil. For heller ikke dømmer Faderen noen, men har overgitt hele dommen til Sønnen, for at alle skal ære Sønnen slik som de ærer Faderen. Den som ikke ærer Sønnen, ærer ikke Faderen, som har sendt ham.   Begrep Begrepet Inkarnasjonen viser til det når Guds sønn tok på seg menneskenatur og ble et menneske. Her vises det til Johannes 1:14 som hovedgrunnlag. De oldkirkelige bekjennelser er tre dokument som ble til i oldkirken, som resultat av at man søkte klarhet i dren troen som kristne bekjente. Mest kjent av disse er den Apostoliske trosbekjennelsen. Nest etter kommer den Nikenske trosbekjennelsen, som kun brukes i påsken. Den siste er den Athanasiske trosbekjennelse, som ikke brukes i Norsk liturgi. Alle tre er forpliktende for den lutherske kirken, og du kan lese dem her på foross.no. Den Arianske strid, var et kontrovers som oppstod på 300-tallet e.Kr. Presten Arius hevdet at Jesus slett ikke var Gud, men i beste fall guddommelig, eller en slags mindre Gud. Flere andre stilte seg på Arius sitt lag, og det ble en splittelse i kirken. For å løse striden kallet man inn til et kirkemøte i Nikea året 325. Der ble Arius og hans lære fordømt av kirken, og grunnlaget til den Nikenske trosbekjennelse ble lagt. Når vi snakker om Jesu to naturer, viser det til at Jesus er på en og samme gang sant menneske og sann Gud. Begrepet jomfrufødselen sikter til at Jesus Kristus ble unnfanget ved den Hellige Ånd og født av jomfru Maria.
