Green Arrow is a superhero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Mort Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 on September 19, 1941 (Coved Dated November 1941), the same issue that debuted Aquaman. His real name is Oliver Jonas Queen, a wealthy businessman, owner of Queen Industries, and a well-known celebrity in Star City. He uses this position to hide the fact that he is the Green Arrow. Partly inspired by Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archer who uses his skills to fight crime in his home cities of Star City and Seattle, as well as alongside his fellow superheroes as a member of the Justice League. The world's greatest archer, as well as a competent swordsman and martial artist, Green Arrow deploys a range of trick arrows (in contemporary times, they are referred as "specialty arrows") with various special functions, such as glue, explosive-tipped, grappling hook, flash grenade, tear gas and even kryptonite arrows for use in a range of special situations. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rangerryan/message

So yes, she is Talia al Ghul, but Oliver obviously doesn't know that.” Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/03/10/spoiler-room-this-is-us-legends-tomorrow-vampire-diaries/ Arrow's Colton Haynes Got Engaged, With Help From Cher (Date: 12 March 2017) Former Arrow and Teen Wolf star, Colton Haynes, and Jeff Leatham, who manages the floral designs at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, got engaged. The happy couple have been vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico, and, Leatham made it extra special by proposing to Haynes on the beach at Las Ventanas al Paraiso. "I SAID YES!!!," Haynes wrote on Instragram, including an image of the two kissing while celebratory fireworks exploded behind them.Leatham used his celebrity connections to get Cher — the 70-year-old singer, actress, and gay icon — to send a special message to his boyfriend. GENERAL DC TV NEWS Who Can Save Iris on 'The Flash'? Candice Patton Has the BEST Answer (Date: 15 March 2017) Ever since Barry (Grant Gustin) slipped through time and saw god of speed Savitar slaughtering his true love, Iris (Candice Patton), The Flash has been all about changing the future to save her life. Honestly, it's starting to look a little bleak...especially since the producers haven't even clued Patton into what lies ahead for her character! "No, they didn't tell me," she confesses with a laugh. "I have no idea and it's a little alarming. I think I know, but you never really know. I am just in the dark as the audience so it will be really interesting to see if Team Flash can pull it off. I'm hoping they can, because I need a job." Link:https://www.tvinsider.com/137598/iris-the-flash-candice-patton-interview/ First Look At Captain Cold's Return To Legends Of Tomorrow Is Kind Of Heartwrenching (Date: 15 March 2017) Wentworth Miller's Leonard Snart has become one of the Arrow-verse's most unexpectedly popular characters since his initial introduction on The Flash. He's popped up here and there over the course of the last season in hallucinations or flashbacks, but next week's episode will see him finally return in earnest. As the latest trailer indicates, it is a suitably tragic moment for his former comrades, because he bemusedly looks ready for a deadly fight. The new photos also provide a better look at many of the supporting characters inside the dream, including Iris West (Candice Patton), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Arrow and Legends star Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/03/15/arrow-star-talks-about-talia-al-ghuls-ulterior-motives/ Chris INTERVIEW: ARROW'S PROMETHEUS ON HIS VENDETTA AGAINST OLIVER QUEEN (Date: 15 March 2017) “Arrow” recently revealed the identity of this season's major villain, Prometheus, to be none other than Adrian Chase, aka Star City's district attorney. Throughout the season, Prometheus/Chase's attacks kept intensifying and becoming more and more personal. In his determination to destroy Oliver, Prometheus went so far as to kidnap Green Arrow's girlfriend, Susan, determined to make Oliver suffer as much as he has. Ahead of the next stage of Prometheus' master plan, CBR spoke with actor Josh Segarra about what he feels makes his bad guy tick, and his plans for Oliver Queen and Team Arrow. Link:http://www.cbr.com/interview-arrow-prometheus-josh-segarra/ Is Arrow's Talia Al Ghul Good Or Evil? Here's What The Actress Says (Date: 14 March 2017) Arrow got a whole lot more badass in the flashbacks in Season 5 thanks to the introduction of none other than Talia al Ghul, who is best known as the daughter of Ra's al Ghul in DC Comics. Arrow's version of Talia stands on her own, however, and she doesn't seem beholden to her father in the slightest. Lexa Doig plays Talia in the flashbacks, and she has brought layers of ambiguity to the character that has led many viewers to wonder if Talia is good or evil deep down. Doig recently spoke to CinemaBlend about her role on Arrow. Link:http://www.cinemablend.com/television/1635520/is-arrows-talia-al-ghul-good-or-evil-heres-what-the-actress-saysARROW EP WENDY MERICLE ADDRESSES PROMETHEUS' IDENTITY & MOTIVATIONS (Date: 01 March 2017) In the wake of this stunning reveal, executive producer Wendy Mericle spoke to CBR and other reporters about what's in store for Team Arrow now that Prometheus' identity is out in the open. She addressed why she and the other showrunners made Chase Prometheus instead of Vigilante, why those chose now to make this reveal, what drives Chase to torture Oliver Queen and more. Why make Chase Prometheus instead of Vigilante? “I think one of the reasons we did that was because everyone would be thinking, “Of course he's Vigilante!” Adrian Chase is Vigilante in the comic books, as you pointed out, and we thought it would be a really fun sort of twist to do what we've always done on the show, which is to take the comic book mythology and turn it on its head and see what kind of story we could mine from a surprise like that. It was also just something different for this season. We wanted to change up how we introduced the big bad and change up when we did it and how we did it. Hopefully, we succeeded in that this year.” She also said that Prometheus is going to mess with Lance as well. Ambassador Controversy (Date: 19 December 2016) “There are so many horrible things that are going on in the world, and this is what you're protesting, seriously?” Gadot said about the backlash during a recent chat with TIME. She continued, “When people argue that Wonder Woman should ‘cover up,' I don't quite get it. They say, ‘If she's smart and strong, she can't also be sexy.' That's not fair. Why can't she be all of the above?” Of course, Gadot is not the only baffled by the controversy. Protestors demanded Wonder Woman be removed from her honorary position because some felt it was inappropriate to have a busty white woman carry the torch. However, fans from around the world are now rallying behind Wonder Woman and emphasizing that her beauty in no way negates her inspirational history. Already, there are dozens of online petitions running which ask the U.N. to reinstate Wonder Woman as an ambassador. Over on Change.org, Chloe Behrens has created a petition which asks for Wonder Woman to be reinstated as an ambassador. After around 2 months, it's finally done. This is my way of telling a unique story about the formation of the CW's very own, Justice League of America. There was a lot of pressure on me (that I put on myself) that this video be good, so I really hope you guys enjoy this,” UltraSargent wrote. Here's what the ranking had to say about the supervillain flick: “Anticipation was high for the first big-budget movie lead by supervillains. All the signs were good with a cast that included Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as the baseball bat-wielding troublemaker Harley Quinn. Robbie stole the show and the film helped position her as IMDb's top star of 2016. And while there were naysayers for the film, written and directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad took more than $745 million at the worldwide box office and made it the most popular movie on IMDb in 2016.” Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/12/20/suicide-squad-is-the-most-popular-movie-of-2016-on-imdb/ The Flash (Season 3) - Official (Date: 21 Dec 2016) Official promo for Flash season 3.5. (Date: 19 Dec 2016) As part of an effort to reach the widest possible audience, The New 52 had downplayed Oliver Queen's left-wing politics. When Rebirth came around, though, one of the things that Percy seemed to be saying was that being a political animal was so engrained in Oliver's persona that removing it left the character missing something that hadn't been replaced. On sale March 15, Green Arrow #19 sees the Emerald Archer and his former sidekick Arsenal going up against...well, it's not exactly explained, but without larger context? It sounds a lot like the Dakota Access Pipeline project. Here's the solicitation text: “Orphaned as an infant and raised on a Navajo reservation, the superhero Arsenal returns to his adopted home to defend it from a violent militia hired by…Queen Industries?! Oliver Queen's company has been up to no good since his supposed death, but Green Arrow is on the scene to make things right. Unfortunately for Ollie, he's the last person his former sidekick wants to see.” Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/12/19/is-green-arrow-going-up-against-the-dakota-access-pipeline-in-ma/ DC's REBIRTH Gets Its Own Trailer (Date: 20 DC 2016) Seven months into DC Comics' "Rebirth" era, the publisher has released a trailer highlighting it as the start of "the next big epic." The trailer, done to coincide with the release of the first collections from "Rebirth," can be seen here: Link:http://www.newsarama.com/32451-dc-s-rebirth-gets-its-own-trailer.html Wonder Woman writer and artist dropped by DC over 'challenging relationship' (Date: 20 Dec 2016) The critically acclaimed, Eisner-nominated comic series The Legend of Wonder Woman has been cancelled by DC Comics, because of what a spokesperson for DC called “a challenging relationship” with the husband and wife team behind the series. Since the cancellation was announced, fans have been wondering whether it was due to poor sales, or studio sexism towards Wonder Woman. However, the DC spokesperson told the Guardian that though “we loved the book and we were very excited to work on the collected volume”, the studio was concerned about Dillon's public comments about other teams at DC on social media. In a series of now-deleted tweets, preserved online on Bleeding Cool, Dillon criticised the writing in another DC series, Wonder Woman: Earth One, and complained when DC approved future volumes of Earth One while he was waiting to hear about the future of his own series. “It is an unfortunate situation. We tried hard to make it work,” the DC spokesperson said. Hey gang, and welcome back to the DC Nation Podcast, brought to you by the Across the Airwaves Network! As you know, last week on the podcast, we interviewed Green Lantern: The Animated Series producer Giancarlo Volpe, what most of you don't know, is that the next day, we recorded this episode for you as well! Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, we couldn't get it out to you all until now, but hey, no one's perfect! So on this weeks DC Nation Podcast, as Green Lantern & Young Justice aren't back from hiatus and reruns, Dan and I decided to keep going with our "Summer of DC" thing that we did on Week 16 with the Batman books and continue on with the Batman Beyond Unlimited comic! Now, this book is different than most. 3 digital chapters of Batman Beyond, Justice League Beyond (or Justice League Unlimited), and Superman Beyond are released each month, and when it comes time for the print, they combine and form the BBU comic! Pretty neat, huh? So, Dan and I start with Batman Beyond: Hush, then Batman Beyond (2011 series), and then go into the current series, then Superman Beyond, and then the JLU book. It's a great, long, and fun discussion and if you're a fan of the DC Animated Universe and want to know what happens before Epilogue, then you've come to the right place! But don't be alarmed my friends, since we didn't get to cover Smallville: Season 11 "Guardian" Part 9 yet, we cover that too (for about 20 minutes or so...)!!! Dan talks about Lex's "beat-up" moment of the week and I think I have a good theory on who the person in the Queen Industries ship is... All this in the DC Nation Podcast Week 18!!!
Tess (Cassidy Freeman) forces Oliver (Justin Hartley) to come to a Queen Industries gala to put the Board at ease, but things go awry when the Toyman (guest star Chris Gautheir) shows up with a bomb and a plan to take revenge on Oliver. The Toyman tells Oliver he must confess to murdering Lex or he will blow the place up. Meanwhile, as part of his training, Jor-El gives Clark (Tom Welling) the ability to hear other people's thoughts. Allison Mack and Erica Durance also star. Wayne Rose directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller.
October 16, 2009 – Jor-El gives Clark the ability to hear others’ thoughts in an effort to teach Clark to hone his Kryptonian intuition and learn to not allow humanistic assumptions inhibit his destiny. While using this new ability to determine who blew up a Queen Industries textile factory, Clark also learns more about Lois’s feelings […]
February 5, 2009 – Just as Oliver is announcing to the LuthorCorp board of executives that Queen Industries has bought controlling interest in LuthorCorp a bomb detonates in the meeting room. Clark and Lana investigate the bombing and discover that the bomb was made with kryptonite. Lana also discovers that her suit not only gives her […]
