Dr. Guido Baltes ist Dozent für Neues Testament am MBS Bibelseminar (Marburg) und lehrt außerdem Neues Testament an der Evangelischen Hochschule Tabor und der Philipps-Universität Marburg

Dr. David Rosch is an Associate Professor in the Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  There, he teaches courses on leadership theory and adult training and development and researches the impact of leadership training initiatives.  During his time on the faculty at Illinois, he has been named to the university's list of “Instructors Ranked as Excellent” each semester. Dr. Lori E. Kniffin (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Leadership at Fort Hays State University. She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses through in-person and virtual modalities. Her experience teaching her department's qualitative methods course has led to her passion for developing future leadership practitioner-scholars. Her teaching and research interests include collective leadership development, civic leadership, service-learning and community engagement, critical leadership studies, and qualitative research methods. About the Book  - Introduction to Research in LeadershipIntroduction to Research in Leadership examines the process and skills required for effectively researching the concept of leadership. Its authors employ a microscope for close analysis and build balconies to see trends and gain perspective. Designed to be imminently practical, it employs concrete examples of fictional graduate students, faculty, and professionals struggling with their issues to help readers make sense of the world of research and its complexities. Filled with personal anecdotes, stories, and even a touch of humor and sarcasm, each chapter weaves in relevant concepts so that those beginning the process of producing scholarship can start on a productive path and with a positive attitude.Resources Mentioned in This EpisodeBook: Introduction to Research in Leadership  by Rosch, Knifing, and GuthrieBook: Building Collective Leadership for Culture Change by Maria Avila Podcast: The Ezra Klein Show - It's Time to Talk About ‘Pandemic Revisionism'About The International Leadership Association (ILA)The ILA was created in 1999 to bring together professionals interested in studying, practicing, and teaching leadership. “If we can begin to see that there is a power and deep soul connection to that concept which really rings true in all of our hearts at some level, if we clear away or dust away that baggage that gets in way of that reality that we want freedom. All of us. Spiritual and political. And the only way to get there is justice and equality for all peoples.”This weeks episode is an important one as I share in deep conversation withNed Rosch a certified yoga teacher and social justice activist based out of Portland, Oregon. Ned is a graduate of The Center for Mind-Body Medicine's ‘Healing the Wounds of War' program, has taught yoga in Gaza in 2014 and 2020 and authored a chapter in the book ‘Stories of Personal Transformation: Reclaiming Judaism from Zionism'Today we touch on Ned's spiritual journey, the facts of the current situation of Israel and historical palestine, and he really helps me understand the importance of learning the historical context as a precursor to any action or inaction in a deeply political time. We get into the powerful human impact that Ned has witnessed both during his time in Gaza and his advocacy work in the US. We speak about the discomfort of being a social justice yoga warrior and how important it is for each of us to find purpose and sustainable energy to feel connected to a journey that is meaningful and contributes to justice , peace and the liberation of all people.Important points:➖ 14:15 What is zionism?➖24:16 A cry heard from Jewish supporters of Palestine➖26:13 How to not feel burn out and connected➖28:17 Importance of understanding historical context➖37:08 Where yoga is needed most➖50:09 Religion is not the problem➖58:59 Where we have to find meaningNed speaks with such pristine clarity that brings our awareness to the heart of conflict - and simulantously to hope and possibility of peace. I invite you to really contemplate the topics Ned and I discuss for yourself - and consider your purpose and your part in that meaningful journey.in oneness,BobbiThanks for listening!

Dr. Hannes Leroy is interested in authentic leadership and how to develop it. That interest includes not only a passionate and critical view of the concept of authenticity but his past work also includes a better understanding of its unique outcomes (e.g., safety, error hiding and work engagement), antecedents (e.g., mindfulness training), and similarities and differences from related concepts (i.e., leader behavioral integrity, leader communication transparency). On the development side he is passionate about authenticity both in terms of developing leaders to use their unique or authentic self as a source of their leadership strength as well as the idea of real (i.e., actually moving the needle) leadership development.Dr. Hannes Leroy's ScholarshipGoogle ScholarA Quote "Academics have lamented that practitioners do not always adopt scientific evidence in practice, yet while academics preach evidence-based management (EBM), they do not always practice it." - Leroy et al. Resources Mentioned in This EpisodeArticle: Walking Our Evidence-Based Talk: The Case of Leadership Development in Business Schools by Leroy et al.Article: Advancing Leadership Education and Development: Integrating Adult Learning Theory by Allen, Rosch, and RiggioHannes' Ted Talk: I was never trained for this! Conference: New Directions in Leadership Research ConferenceGroup: The League of LeadershipAward: Evidence-Based Leadership Development Program AwardAbout The International Leadership Association (ILA)The ILA was created in 1999 to bring together professionals interested in the study, practice, and teaching of leadership. My Approach to HostingThe views of my guests do not constitute "truth." It's exactly why he is focused on getting back to a “new better.”Brion comes from an art background and considers himself an artist, designer, curator, director, producer, and collaborator. In addition to his love for art, Brion's specialty is using his strategic thinking to get different departments to work better, together. He can wear multiple hats, loves getting his hands dirty on projects, misses in-person contact, and is a total people person.Reach out to Brion if you're looking for someone who can immediately make the work better. brionnudarosch.comvimeo.com/727199860#BouncingBack #Covid19 #JobSearch #Advertising

Identity management issues are difficult for enterprise companies and for consumers. According to Javelin's 2021 Identity Fraud Study, there was 43 billion dollars worth of identity fraud scams in 2020. Small business owners to c-suite execs are all looking for the answer to security and simplicity, especially in the face of the enemies — bad actors and security systems that are too complicated to use. Everyone wants an answer, but perhaps the first step to a solution is for an identity management company to engage in an ongoing process of active listening. On this episode of Business X factors, Fran Rosch, the CEO of ForgeRock, shares how ForgeRock, under his leadership, has developed a perpetual process to innovate toward solutions where customers do not have to compromise user experience or security. He reveals how this process includes listening, making decisions and then acting accordingly. Fran also chats about how ForgeRock does more than loftily talk about creativity; instead, it invests in the creative process, including ensuring its people are truly able to be creative. Main Takeaways: A Perpetual Refining Process: When Rosch joined ForgeRock, he initiated “Project Rocket,” which was a process to activate change in the company. The process involved listening, making determinations, and then acting on them. The lesson here is not that a new CEO had an initial strategy in order to provide a jolt to a company. Instead, it is that “Project Rocket” has morphed into an ongoing process for ForgeRock's self-reflection and improvement.  Think About Creative Investment: Many companies talk a good game about establishing a creative environment, but some don't back up these words with actions. Rosch contends that creativity must be something that is actually invested in. Additionally, according to Rosch, supporting creativity is about setting up a culture where people are being listened to and helpful questions are also being asked.Diversity Is Key: Diversifying a workforce is imperative for a healthy culture and company, and there are many ways to consider diversity. Rosch speaks about fostering a “diversity of ideas,” and this includes gathering a team from many different backgrounds and experiences. He mentions that this sort of diversity is about getting ”creative ideas on the table.” Diversity and creativity are interconnected and they must both be considered in that manner.---Business X factors is produced by Mission.org and brought to you by Hyland. For over a decade, Hyland has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms, leading the way to help people get the information they need when and where they need it.
