We had the pleasure of interviewing Olivia King over Zoom video! Olivia King is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and entrepreneur from Warwick, Rhode Island. Her sound is defined as a cross between Pop and Soul. Inspired by the unique sounds of Lauryn Hill, Musiq Soulchild, and Michael Jackson; Olivia combines old-school soul music with a modern twist.   Olivia has been taking music seriously since she was 16 years old. She started performing in the Boston area at local clubs as well as on radio and TV stations.  Olivia acquired backup dancers in 2013 and the group has opened for major artists such as August Alsina, Eric Bellinger, Hi-Rez, Emilio Rojas and more. She and her dancers perform in popular venues such as Santos Party House in NYC, Naga Nightclub in Boston, and Lupos Heartbreak Hotel in Providence. At age 17, she started writing her own music and by 18 wrote a jingle for Kudo's Trading Company in San Francisco, California. At 19 she auditioned for the popular television show "The Voice," and made it through two rounds.  In January 2017, Olivia decided to go independent and since then, has released quite a few singles, an album and an original Christmas EP. Her music has over 3,00,000 streams on Spotify alone with features on Spotify's New Music Friday UK, Discover Weekly and Release Radar Playlists, topping the Indie Charts. Her Christmas EP is played throughout all Alex and Ani stores during the holiday season. Olivia's music has been placed in major campaigns such as the "Be Your Biggest Fan" Campaign for Caleb McLaughlin from the Emmy Award Winning Netflix Series, "Stranger Things." You can find Olivia's music on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon, YouTube, Vevo, and more.Aside from music, Olivia is also the founder and CEO of Make Music Moves, an online course that teaches independent artists how to be successful in the music industry.Follow Olivia's journey at www.instagram.com/oliviakingmusic.We want to hear from you! Remix Your World

You may have heard Peter Napoli at one of his traveling BRÜT parties (NY, LA, SF and Chicago), where his pulsating beat reigns over packed dance floors and throngs of young men in gear. While this nightlife attraction has been a mainstay for years, Peter’s love of music actually began far earlier, growing up in a family of musicians in the boroughs of New York City. Rhythm was a constant in the Napoli household. Peter’s dad is a well-known drummer and there was always a groove happening at home. That early exposure to the relationship between kick-drumming and ass-shaking propelled Peter to find a career in music beginning in Mexico City in 2009. Back home in NYC, the young firebrand honed his skills at Santos Party House, which escalated him to opportunities in Europe, North and South America. As his sound evolved, Peter found inspiration in Deep House and Techno, but also the classic basslines of Frankie Knuckles and David Cole. This diversity is on display at his legendary Burning Man sets, and now at Voyage. In its latest iteration, Napoli’s sound is an evolution from the stagnant circuit scene of decades past, to a future built on an array of percussion and an inclusive cast of talent and performers. Peter’s latest party brand, Voyage, is a newcomer to the scene. Its rhythm is the journey; a new venture for aficionados of House and Techno, and the Electronic music community. Peter Rauhofer is a Legend. His music has inspired and touched so many people, myself included! I consider myself blessed to have experienced the master at "Work" on many occasions. Limelight, Roxy, Stereo, Highline Ballroom, Roseland Ballroom, Cielo, Water taxi Beach, Santos Party House, District 36, XL and Pacha are some of the many New York nightclubs/venues i've sweated it out on the the dance floor to Peter's beats. I listened, I learned and I am truly greatful to have been inspired by such a great talent over the past 11 years. As for this podcasts, It's a little something i put together back in 2006-2007 as a tribute to Peter, but i chose not to release it out of respect. Now with his passing i am releasing it to honor him and carry on his legacy. This mix leans towards the Stereo/Highline Ballroom WORK party era. It features some of Peter's remixes as well as many of the tracks he was spinning during this time. Though it truely saddens me that he is gone, his spirit will live on for years and years through his amazing music.  Those Adidas shoes will never be filled! REST IN PEACE Peter! On this festive night of the Metal Injection LiveCast, Rob was away doing his thing at SXSW in Texas while the rest of us did a live podcast. The celebration started with a conversation about Noa's dog and his sexual orientation then animal porn and vile things that are done to horses. We naturally digress to a conversation about the Golden Girls, Phil Donahue, Geraldo then critique The Situation's poor comedy routine. We take a short music break and come back with the party guru himself Andrew WK. We break the ice and ask Andrew WK if he heard Sid & Rob talk about him last week. He did and was very gracious about his response to the floating allegations. Soon after we learn about Andrew WK's wardrobe, analyze Sid's anti-fun personality, explore Andrew's fandom for Nicolas Cage, get schooled on the Michigan grindcore, power violence scene and find out Andrew's death metal roots. Lot's more happened and before the interview ends we get a personal invite from Andrew WK to come back to his venue Santos Party House in New York City at any time. When we come back from our second music break we explain to a 'first time- long time' listener who Allen is then we begin Master Tweet Theater but this time with Gilbert Gottfried's too soon Japanese jokes. Some more happened but at this point your download should be done, so just listen to it.   Here is what we played on our music breaks. We dedicated them to Japan by only playing Japanese bands (with the exception of the one Andrew WK track): Loudness– Crazy Nights Boris– The Woman on the Screen Fuck on the Beach– Something I don't wanna know Teengenerate– Dressed in Black Andrew WK– Party Hard Swarrrm– Never Believe Hi-Standard– Asian Pride Husking Bee– ♯4 Unholy Grave– Mental Disease Sigh- A Sunset Song S.O.B– Fuck or Die Blotto- Goodbye Melt-Banana– One Dimensional
