Jake is from Springville, Iowa and joined the Hawkeyes in the class of 2013 alongside the Walkons. Coach Morgan found him at State Track his freshman year of high school, which led to conversations the next several years, physical development on the field, and eventually a chance to wear the black and gold. He talks about his first year in the program and catching up to the speed of the game, working his way up the depth chart amidst multiple injuries to his back and foot, and sticking it out for 5 years regardless of his playing time on the field. Jake explains why the experience and opportunity were worth the hard work and grind even when he didn't see the field as much as he would have liked, and how Iowa Football is serving him in his adult life today. If you love the show and want to show support, tell your friends!
