Do you feel like your stepkids or the ex have done you wrong and you have a hard time letting go? Are you feeling bitter and resentful at how your life is turning out? Maybe it's time to think about forgiveness. Forgiveness is not about letting the others walk all over you, or to let them get away with their bad behaviors or action. For starters, forgiveness is letting go of the pain and sting that the person's actions have done against you. Forgiveness is an act of self love. Forgiving another person is probably one of the hardest things we might ever have to do. If you're in a place where you are tired of feeling the wait of the anger and resentment on your shoulders, this is the show for you. Taylor Tagg is the author of the book "The Path To A Peaceful Heart" and a Forgiveness Educator and Facilitator at The Midwest Institute for Forgiveness Training To learn more about Taylor Tagg and his work, visit his website at www.theevolvingheart.com    About Claudette Claudette Chenevert, known as The Stepmom Coach works with stepmoms who are struggling to create a cohesive family life. How do we forgive others for the harm they've done to us? What about those terrible actions that are truly unforgivable? How do we let go of those, or at least learn to carry them differently? I was honored to chat last week with my friend and fellow transformation coach Taylor Tagg, who is also a forgiveness expert. Taylor gives us concrete actions we can take to forgive others, so we can find the peace we're looking for.   Taylor offers workshops in Memphis and speaks widely. You can see more of his work at www.forgiveandfindpeace.com I encourage you all to visit his website, order his books, and forgive others. As Taylor wisely says, "life gets better when you let go of the bitter." The Ted talk by Sarah Montana which Taylor mentions can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEK2pIiZ2I0 As we get close to Yom Kippur, I encourage us all to find ways to let go of the old wounds that no longer serve us, and to write new endings to the stories of hurt we've carried for too long. May we all be blessed to forgive others, to be forgiven, and to find peace.   Thanks for listening to the Torah of Life podcast, your home for transformational wisdom from a Jewish lens. Like what you hear? Please share the episode with your friends, subscribe to the show and leave us a rating and review on iTunes, or your favorite podcast platform. When the opportunity to save a life comes your way, would you do it? Even if that opportunity means giving up one of your kidneys? That’s the question presented and answered by our three guests today.  Tim Chhim, was born in Cambodia and lived through 3 wartime regimes—Monarchy, Republic and Communistic. After losing his home to American bombings and his father shortly thereafter in 1972, Tim was forced out of the Capital by the Maoists after thousands were killed. Learning that he would be executed Tim ran from death row escaping many rounds of bullets. Tim used his personal initiative, self-discipline, positive mental attitude, enthusiasm, and the application of going extra mile principles to form a mastermind alliance with 12 other people. But, days later, the group got caught in a deep jungle. Only Tim and his 2 other friends survived. Taylor Tagg is a spiritual life coach, author, seminar leader, and speaker encouraging others to walk the path to peace. As a gesture of that peace, Taylor was set to give his kidney to Tony before the surgery was sadly called off. Now Tony needs another better-suited kidney donor to be his hero. Tom Cunningham has been a champion of overcoming adversity since being diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 5. He has had 4 hips, 4 knees and 2 shoulders replaced and been hospitalized about 40 times. His severe range of motion restrictions and high doses of prednisone do not keep Tom from living an amazing life as a speaker who encourages people to live positively with the challenges life throws at them.   Please visit KidneyforAnthonyChhim.com for more details on how to save Tony's life.
