We've been invited to Bella's and Edward's wedding, along with everyone in Forks it seems. That's right, it's time for Bill Condon's adaptation of the first half of Stephenie Meyer's final novel of her vampire/werewolf saga, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Is the camp back? What do we think of the wedding and honeymoon? What about the baby? The werewolf antagonistic subplot? Lots to unpack. Tune in!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (or simply Breaking Dawn – Part 2) is a 2012 American romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the 2008 novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. The sequel to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011), it is the fifth installment in The Twilight Saga film series. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively, with Mackenzie Foy portraying Renesmee Cullen. Alongside Pattinson, Lautner, Stewart, and Foy, the film also stars an ensemble cast including Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen, and Dakota Fanning.
In this 71st episode Richard and George acknowledge the 1st and only day of Novembula by comparing the worst scene in Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, a great film film about a vampire who is basically just a chilled out entertainer vs the best scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, a not-as-great-film that explores what it would be like if vampires were the X-Men.
In this 70th episode we celebrate the 4th day of Octobula by comparing the worst scene in Kathryn Bigelow's Near Dark, the dirtiest, meanest vampire film ever made vs the best scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, a movie that continues the series' exploration of how werewolves of the Pacific Northwest hide thousands of pairs of shorts in caches throughout the woods to ensure there's always a pair nearby to help maintain their modesty post wolf out, just as any good Mormon would.

HEAD OR HEART, her acclaimed gold-certified, second album, arrived in 2014, highlighted by the RIAA 2X platinum certified single, “Human.” Our guest kicked off 2019 with songs for carmella: sing-a-longs and lullabies, a collection of songs the acclaimed singer-songwriter sang to her daughter everyday, released on Carmella's first birthday. This week we're covering Bill Condon's 2011 ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.' In easily one of the most chaotic episodes of HHYNS ever, we cover everything from Bella not knowing how to walk in heels the day before her wedding to Rensesmee starting a frightening trend of white girl names, and have a real good time. Content Warning- This episode was recorded prior to the official verdict overturning of Roe V Wade by the Supreme Court. Towards the end of the episode, we dive into some of the Anti-Abortion themes present in this film. In case it's not explicitly clear, HHYNS is staunchly Pro-Choice, and firm in the stance that bodily autonomy, which includes access to safe and legal abortions, is a fundamental human right. As such, we're donating our June Patreon earnings to ABORTION AF, a group who does work making creative content about breaking repro news, building robust communities who work for abortion access, and championing independent abortion providers with tangible acts of love and service. THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL TRACK. Please check out the full commentary track on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture Our "Twilight" marathon (finally) ends with the fifth installment in the franchise, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," once again, directed by Bill Condon. With the release of "Spencer," we went back to visit the film franchise that made Kristen Stewart a star along with her co-star Robert Pattinson. This was our fifth and final film in our marathon viewing from a few days ago, and you can tell we were drained and absolutely done with this franchise. A surprising third act brought us back to life, but not in the way we expected this mega-franchise would conclude. Take a listen one last time to hear our thoughts as we watch it for the first time, not knowing where any of it is going! We've already posted our commentary tracks for the first, second, third, and fourth films, which you can listen to as a preview on the site or entirely through our Patreon. Joining me once again are Nicole Ackman, Dan Bayer, guest Charlie Bright and popping in towards the end is a returning Eve O'Dea. So, our dear friends, grab yourself a cup of blood, fire up that Netflix account, and listen alongside us as we conclude our journey with Bella, Edward, and Jacob. SNOBBIES. RAD DADS ARE IN!!! This month we try to find the most Rad of Dads. It's a competition. We've seen too many Bad Dads and we need to break this curse. What we have here is a first. Lets just say it. We watched a Twilight movie. Most of us have not watched ANY Twilight movies and Ricky's pick for today was the very last one, haha. Director Bill Condon, known for films like The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1, The Jonas Brothers: Fly with Me, and Beauty and the Beast remake...Condon brings the most batSH** movie we've ever watched. Easily the most decapitations in a movie we've ever seen, the Snobbies really get down to the important issues in this one. Eric talks about his real life interaction with Kristen Stewart, we talk about favorite kills, and why this is hands down the freakiest CG baby we've ever seen. Honestly, if you can believe it, this episode is more insane than the Chef episode. Some of the snobs...just Eric...legitimately lose their minds. ENJOY!
