What does it mean to care — for birds, for each other, for a wounded planet? In this Meet the Authors event of Volumen 10: Peace, Wimblu's Team holds a conversation with the filmmaker Shaunak Sen, director of the film ‘All That Breathes', which inspired the text ‘In Search of a Place to Breathe' written by Fernando Chaves and featured on the creative documentary column of Wimblu Magazine. In this conversation we explore the ideas at the heart of his documentary: care as a response to the ecosocial crisis, the entanglement of political and ecological violence, and the quiet, radical act of tending to lives that the logic of progress deems expendable. We talk about how his formal choices — slow, deliberate, carefully composed images — resist the urgency and fear that dominate mainstream environmental storytelling, and instead invite the viewer into something different: a cinema of attention. We also explore the story of Nadeem and Saud, the brothers at the center of the film, as "philosophers of the urban" whose shelter for injured black kites becomes a ritual of resistance and a search for a common peace. And we ask Shaunak how, as an inhabitant of New Delhi, he finds peace in a city where the air itself is in crisis — and whether non-human beings offer any guidance.A conversation about documentary filmmaking, ecological grief, and the possibility of care as a transformative force.Watch the full interview and join the conversation.Read the text ‘In Search of a Place to Breathe' by Fernando Chaves Espinach here: https://wimblu.com/en/volumen-10/busca-espacio-para-respirar/ Subscribe to our free Newsletter to get the latest news of events, publications and more here: https://wimblu.com/en/subscribe/ Help us continue with our mission to recognize and honor the interconnectedness between our human and more-than-human worlds through author-driven creative nonfiction. In today's episode, we sit down with Nadeem Akhtar, SVP and Head of Engineering for Wi-Fi and Software Solutions at HFCL, to explore how AI is redefining how Wi-Fi networks are optimized, managed, and scaled—especially as the industry moves toward Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8. Nadeem shares emerging use cases where AI delivers immediate impact, including autonomous radio resource management, intelligent roaming, application-aware QoS, and predictive maintenance, and we discuss how AI enables multi-AP coordination and multi-parameter optimization—critical for unlocking the full performance of advanced Wi-Fi 7 features and future Wi-Fi 8 capabilities. Tune in to learn how AI is closing the gap between network design and real-world performance while improving efficiency, reliability, and user experience at scale. For Wi-Fi AllianceFor Membership InfoGeneral Contact
