Send us a textWe go back to one of our earlier episodes as Tony was out sick this week!A teenage martial arts star with a perfect body and an expressionless face attempts to become the next Jason Bourne? What could possibly go wrong? Taylor Lautner's post-Twilight action vehicle "Abduction" takes us on a wild ride through one of the most illogical spy thrillers ever made. When high school student Nathan discovers his childhood photo on a missing persons website, he's thrust into a world of government conspiracies, international assassins, and badly choreographed fight scenes that somehow manage to be both frantic and boring. The film desperately wants to position Lautner as a legitimate action star, but saddles him with a character supposedly suffering from "rage issues" that never materialize. Despite being surrounded by seasoned actors like Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, and Jason Isaacs, the Twilight heartthrob delivers most of his lines with the emotional range of a cardboard cutout. His parkour skills and shirtless scenes can't compensate for a script filled with nonsensical plot developments and technology that would make even the most forgiving sci-fi fan roll their eyes. Most puzzling is the film's title - nobody actually gets abducted. Instead, we're treated to a collection of spy movie clichés stitched together with teenage romance that feels awkward and forced. From magical phones that can't be traced (except when they suddenly can) to an international network of assassins who can appear anywhere in minutes, "Abduction" breaks every rule of logic while following every rule of bad filmmaking. Join us as we break down this spectacular misfire that tried to launch a franchise and instead became a cautionary tale about what happens when marketing executives decide someone's abs qualify them to carry an action thriller.Written lovingly with AIBe our friend!Dan: @shakybaconTony: @tonydczechAnd follow the podcast on IG: @hatewatchingDAT

Welcome to this week's explosive episode of the What Are We Doing podcast, where we break down the most riveting stories making waves across digital media, music, and Hollywood. In today's episode, we tackle everything from high-profile summits and viral social media mysteries to historic performances and groundbreaking TV series announcements.❤️ FREE VALENTINES DAY BLUECHEW - $20 OFF!https://bluechew.com/?coupon=TZUHWe kick things off in Dubai at the prestigious World Government Summit, where the future of social media and Gen Z influence were the stars of the show. Influencer Nara Smith, alongside the energetic duo from the BFFs podcast—Josh Richards and Brianna LaPaglia—took the stage to share insights on how digital platforms are reshaping public discourse. They emphasized the critical importance of Gen Z's voice in charting the future of content creation, innovation, and policy-making. Adding a personal twist to the event, Gabi Moura was spotted lending her support to Josh Richards during his momentous achievement. We unpack how these conversations at the summit reflect a seismic shift in digital culture and why the youth are emerging as the true trailblazers of our time.Next, we dive headfirst into one of the internet's most bizarre viral phenomena—the case of Amalfi Jets. A TikTok video featuring a would-be private jet flyer comparing luxury travel costs to those of commercial flights quickly ignited social media, drawing millions of views. In a series of responses that were as humorous as they were perplexing, the supposed CEO, Kolin Jones, defended the exorbitant price points of private travel. But here's the twist: we reveal compelling evidence that suggests neither Amalfi Jets nor its elusive owner Kolin Jones actually exist! Join us as we present the clues, inconsistencies, and our own conspiracy theory that turns this viral sensation into one of the most intriguing internet hoaxes. Is it a well-crafted marketing stunt or an elaborate ruse designed to keep us guessing? We lay it all out for you.Shifting gears, we analyze a historic moment in music—Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime performance. Making history as the first rapper to headline the event solo, Kendrick delivered a 12-minute set filled with surprises. Notable highlights include a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson, who embodied a tongue-in-cheek “Uncle Sam,” and an electrifying collaboration with R&B star SZA. Despite the groundbreaking nature of his performance, many fans found the set underwhelming, describing it as “serviceable” at best. We break down his setlist, from iconic tracks like “HUMBLE.” and “DNA.” to live debuts that pushed the envelope, and explore whether the performance met the monumental expectations of such a colossal stage. Finally, we unveil an unexpected Hollywood twist: Taylor Lautner is stepping into a new role as both star and executive producer of the upcoming supernatural drama series “Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter.” Developed at Amazon MGM Studios and spearheaded by showrunner Daisy Gardner, the series promises to blend action, fantasy, and a touch of celebrity intrigue as Lautner navigates his double life as a Hollywood actor and secret werewolf tracker.Join us as we explore these diverse stories that challenge conventional narratives and redefine what's possible in today's fast-paced world. Hit play, subscribe, and let us know which story grabbed you the most—whether it's the digital revolution in Dubai, the enigmatic case of Amalfi Jets, Kendrick Lamar's monumental stage, or Taylor Lautner's daring new venture. Enjoy the episode!

This week's episode of Squeezon 2 (shoutout to Boy Tay for that pun) features two highly requested guests who also happen to be family; Makena Moore (formerly Lautner) and her husband Jacob Moore! We've heard the story of how Tay & Taylor came to be from their own perspective, but what does their matchmaker Makena recall from the early days of their relationship? And, what made her believe her new friend Tay would be a potential match for her brother? She's answering these questions and sharing what went down behind the scenes. While Makena and Taylor clearly have a close sibling bond, that doesn't mean that Taylor's fame was easy to navigate for his younger sister. Makena opens up about the not-so-shiny parts of having a famous brother and how his success has affected her own identity. Jake and Makena also open up about their very own love story and their baby boy Breckon who has forever altered their lives (and their aunt and uncle's lives!). Parenthood changes things (to say the least), and Makena and Jake open up about Makena's postpartum depression and why she's decided to change the way mamas look for answers to their many questions. There are plenty of laughs and also some tears as these four let the Lemon Drops into the intimate inner workings of their family. Actor Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay Lautner have both gone through a significant journey of mental health wellness through very different circumstances. Taylor grew up in the spotlight, and had to learn to reckon with debilitating fame at a young age, while Tay had to learn to prioritize her own wellbeing during her time as a Covid nurse. Their stories are different, but the triumphs and commitment they hold to having vulnerable conversations as a result, are the same. Today we discuss how advocating for your own mental health can be an incredibly difficult thing to do, how there's freedom in being open, and the mission of Lautners' foundation called The Lemons Foundation. You can follow Kelly Rizzo on all platforms @eattravelrock for clips or BTS footage from the podcast. Taylor and Tay's podcast is called The Squeeze and can be found on all podcast platforms. You can follow the Lautners on social media @taylorlautner and @taylautner.Chili Recipe Heat some olive oil in a big soup pot and add some chopped onion once that's hotSaute your onion for about 5 minutes then add some ground beef Break up your beef in the pot and cook for 6-7 minutes, or until it's cooked fully through Add some spices and stir until combined, I like chili powder, cumin, a bit of sugar, tomato paste, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and some cayenne Then you can add some diced tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, and tomato sauce and stir it up Let that simmer for at least 20-25 minutes but the longer you let it sit, the better it's gonna be. The Taylor Lautners are back for another jam-packed solo episode, kicking off with a Twilight-era Cit-rus Got Real about fish eyes (long story, stay tuned). Taylor takes a moment to talk about Tay's "Jimmy Darts" moment this week, which then leads your hosts to talk about the importance of gratitude. Tay opens up about her first EMDR session and the realization that she hasn't yet processed what she went through in 2020. They also dive into your Tea Time with Tay questions, where they discuss their experience being long-distance, balancing quality and personal time together, and where they would go if they knew they wouldn't be recognized. We heard you loud and clear Lemon Drops, so we're bringing you more solo episodes! This week your hosts sit back, relax, and enjoy some tea time with Tay(s). They cover everything (and we mean everything) from friendship bracelets to ferocious turtles. Before they dive into all your questions, they also take a moment to talk about the importance of self-care and the scope of what that really means. It's not always a spa day—it means truly caring for yourself, even if sometimes, that means having an uncomfortable conversation. Tay opens up about a new self-care strategy from her EMDR therapist, and a moment of insecurity she had at the Eras Tour and how she talked herself through it. Then they answer your burning questions, including which songs from 1989 (Taylor's Version) they're most excited for, which The Summer I Turned Pretty boy they're rooting for, and a funny memory of the two of them that takes them back all the way to their 6-month anniversary. Let's go back to the beginning (of the podcast and the love story!) with another solo episode where the Lautners' offer a look into the beginning of their relationship. Before they get started, Taylor addresses a video he posted on social media about some rude comments he came across and wants to set the record straight on his intention in posting it. They then get into audience questions! The most popular question by far has to do with the reality of a “famous person” dating a “normal person” so your hosts take a deep dive into keeping their relationship private, when they felt ready to go public, Tay's first introductions to the industry and the first-class lifestyle, and the hardest moment that has resulted from being in a public relationship. They also tackle a few rapid-fire questions, such as if their astrological signs are accurate, who kissed who first, and what Tay's parents thought of her dating a celebrity!
