The IBF Lightweight title is the one belt that "The Matrix" Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3) 11KOs was missing when he attempted his fate at unifying the entire Lightweight division four years ago against then IBF Champion Teofimo Lopez. Loma would fall short on the scorecards and instead lost all his belts to Lopez as well as his standing atop the division. Lomachenko again came up short in his second attempt at Undisputed when he faced Devin Haney. Loma remains hungry and with his sights dead set on reaching the throne. He can secure the title that has long eluded him with a victory tomorrow night. In his path, the former unified Lightweight Champion "Ferocious" George Kambosos Jr. (21-2) 10KOs. Kambosos reached the same heights as Lomachenko within the division and defeated the man that derailed Vasyl's plans in Teofimo Lopez. However, he would go on to suffer a similar fate against Devin Haney in his own attempt at becoming Undisputed. It is a high-stakes, crossroads type of affair for these two former Champions, who are respectively looking at returning to the top of the Lightweight division.Thank You so much for all of your continued support!Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @TOMATODITOSHOW where you can leave me a comment on the direct post corresponding to this episode. Also, you can reach out to me via X @TomaToditoShow.

#482 May The Force Be With You - It's a very special and moving Christmas episode as Richard talks to Ukranian comedian Vasyl Baidak about performing comedy in a war zone, how comedy has differed before, after and during the conflict, performing in shelters and trenches, how comedy helps process the horror and how absurd comedy seems redundant in the more absurd state of war, converting Stewart Lee tickets into a car, being championed by Stephen Fry, the influence of Andy Kaufman, building the country back one house at a time and keeping the Ukraine in people's minds and raising funds for the military. How do you tour and celebrate Christmas in a war? It's an incredible story from a very eloquent man speaking in a second language (where school lessons did not prepare him for talking about war). Please listen and share this one. And tonight don't thank God it's them instead of you. Ask God why anyone has to be in this situation.See the Guardian documentary here https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2023/feb/23/the-year-that-never-ended-how-a-ukrainian-comedian-rebuilt-a-strangers-house-documentaryWatch Vasyl's special here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C34z0ozw_9ESee RHLSTP live - http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!Watch our TWITCH CHANNELSee extra content at our WEBSITE Become a member at https://plus.acast.com/s/rhlstp. MÉLOVIN has had an eventful few months. But with his new single "Don't Need Your Love," he's fighting back and standing up to the haters. Ukraine's Eurovision 2018 singer also discusses his artistic music video, his message about believing in yourself and the ongoing war in Ukraine. He also teases a potential run at Vidbir 2024 — Ukraine's national selection for Malmö. Thank you to Vasyl for the translation voiceovers!

Vasyl Matsyuk, a Yale Divinity student, grew up in the fully Democratic Ukraine only to see it ravaged by a war with Russia that began a year ago in February. The Russian conflict has long roots. Under the previous Soviet regime before Ukraine became a sovereign nation, Vasyl's parents and grandparents had endured years of religious discrimination and hardship as Protestants. Now, Vasyl is grappling with how his religious studies inform the harsh realities facing relatives and friends are facing as they defend themselves against bombs and missiles in a country he only knew as peaceful and free. Many Roads to Here is a production of The Immigrant Story, a nonprofit based in Portland, Oregon. This episode was produced by Fran Silverman. Our audio editing was done by Todd Baize . The original interview was conducted by Fran Silverman at the New Haven Public Library, which has graciously provided space for our podcast work. Misha Zelinsky caught up with Ukraine's Ambassador to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko. Before becoming the Ambassador, Vasyl was an accomplished and high profile business and civil society leader in Ukraine. A graduate of London School of Economics, he is a communications expert and a recognised global leader. In this episode we talk about the latest in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, what more the world can do to help, what Ukrainians want for their own future, Russia's and Putin's war crimes, what the world got wrong about Putin prior to the invasion, and why what happens in Ukraine matters everywhere. A big thank you to the Ambassador who took this call while on the road in between meetings. As a result, at times the audio quality may not be to our usual standard. We apologise and trust you will forgive us as this is a very important conversation. Also, be sure to listen to one of the best BBQ question answers we've ever had! Please continue to support Ukraine however you can. It is so vital! Please share, rate and review the episode widely, it really helps draw attention to the Ukrainian fight for survival. President Joko Widodo's sudden plan to engage in personal diplomacy with Putin involves high stakes. Prospects for progress are daunting, but the trip marks a welcome foray by Indonesia's leader into international affairs. Ukraine's ambassador to Indonesia joins the pod to put the effort in context and help shed light on what is reasonable to anticipate. Also: Megawati uncorks more vitriol aimed towards Ganjar, and all sides gear up for yet another tussle over an attempt to revise Indonesia's antiquated Criminal Code (KUHP).
