In this KE Report daily editorial, we welcome back Marc Chandler, Managing Partner at Bannockburn Global Forex and Editor of Marc to Market, to unpack the market-shaking announcement from President Trump: a potential 50% tariff on European Union goods. This policy shift has reignited global trade tensions and is already sending shockwaves through equity, bond, and currency markets. Marc provides a wide-ranging macro breakdown, covering: The market reaction to renewed tariff threats, including the sharp sell-off in European equities and rally in bonds. A detailed look at currency market trends, including strength in the euro, pound, Canadian dollar, and Chinese yuan… and a weakening U.S. dollar index. Why the dollar's recent weakness is more about the U.S. itself than foreign currency strength. How global capital flows are evolving, including surprising Q1 U.S. inflows and a nuanced view on the so-called "Sell America" narrative. An emerging trend: the U.S. dollar as a new global carry trade - a role once dominated by the Japanese yen. Big-picture risks in bond markets and the potential geopolitical realignment between the EU and China, as Europe grapples with economic and strategic pressure from both the U.S. and Russia. The Balut Kiki Project: Uniquely Pinoy. Unapologetically Queer.
Warning: This project contains mature, sensitive, and disturbing themes. Listener discretion is advised. Audio-Suspense Drama this festive season? Bakit hindi, Bessies? We have always championed that QUEER STORIES DESERVE TO BE HEARD. And if there is one queer story we think you should hear, it is MATTHEW SHEPARD's story. Matthew was a young gay man who was tied to a fence on a cold freezing night, beaten unconscious, and left to die. His face was so bloodied except for two tracks from his eyes where his tears fell. Sa kasamaang palad, kakaunting Pinoy lamang ang nakakaalam ng kwento ni Matthew whose story sparked a wave of outrage and protests around the world and pushed for laws protecting the LGBTQIA+ community against bigotry and violence. Maraming haka-haka surrounding Matthew's story, pero iisa ang malinaw: NO HUMAN BEING, gay or straight, black or white, rich or poor, DESERVED TO DIE THE WAY MATTHEW DIED. There have been way too many “Matthews”. How many more “Jennifers”, “Ebengs”, “Cindy Jones'” have to die before we take action? A SOGIE bill has to be passed in the Philippines – NOW. This is our loving remembrance to a brother of our community who was taken from those who loved him too soon. We will never forget, Matthew. Is sugar the main culprit for dental decay and other issues? Dentist Marc DiNola suggests that a host of dental problems could be caused by nutritional deficiencies. He offers advice for what foods to eat to rectify the situation -- including Gouda cheese, organ meats, and fat from pastured animals. He explains how foods rich in vitamin K can keep teeth strong with the proper fluid flow. Marc also explains the concept of meridians -- connections between our teeth and particular organs and blood supply--and he offers this as one reason he is not a proponent of root canals, since the dead teeth affect the energy flow to other parts of the body.
