Your entire body is connected. The way each joint moves and how strong each is matters. One of the biggest mistakes I see people making as a physical therapist is only focusing on the painful joint. For example, when dealing with knee pain- most people only do localized exercises for the knee- ignoring the rest of the body. In order to be successful in pain relief, strength and mobility- you have to focus on the big picture.
