Air Date - 10 June 2026According to the National Institute of Health, one in four Americans suffers from chronic pain. The good news is that most pain can be effectively eliminated if the correct medical resources are applied to properly diagnose and treat the root causes.Returning to Destination Unlimited this week, my guest Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum says, “It's the body's mechanism for signaling that something needs attention, much like the flashing oil light on a car's dashboard. If you put oil in the car, the oil light goes out. If you give the body what it needs, the pain goes away.” Dr. Teitelbaum is one of the most trusted and frequently quoted medical authorities in the world on pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, energy, and long COVID. He is the author of 12 books, including the bestselling From Fatigued to Fantastic!, Real Cause Real Cure, The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution, and the popular free smartphone app Cures A-Z.His website is https://endfatigue.com/, and he joins me this week to share his path and new book, Pain Relief in 4 Simple Steps: Eliminating the Root Causes of Chronic Pain.#JacobTeitelbaum #VictorFuhrman #DestinationUnlimitedConnect with Victor Fuhrman at https://victorthevoice.com/Visit the Destination Unlimited Show Page https://omtimes.com/iom/shows/destination-unlimited/Subscribe to our Newsletter https://omtimes.com/subscribe-omtimes-magazine/Connect with OMTimes on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Omtimes.Magazine/ and OMTimes Radio https://www.facebook.com/ConsciousRadiowebtv.OMTimes/Twitter: https://twitter.com/OmTimes/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/omtimes/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/2798417/Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/omtimes/

In This Episode: Why patients often disappear after experiencing early pain relief The three retention milestones every chiropractic clinic should track Understanding the "Danger Zone" of the first six patient visits How "snowplowing visits" quietly destroys patient outcomes and retention The five fatal flaws that lead to patient drop-off Why becoming the "board doctor" can undermine patient commitment The importance of clearly defining the patient's care journey How to identify and save "quiet quitters" before they leave Why pre-scheduled care plans dramatically improve compliance The dangers of patient-directed care How care plan signatures increase patient commitment The "Express Scheduling" system that produces higher conversion rates Using the Fourth Visit Quiz to reinforce patient education The role of automation, VAs, and technology in improving retention Why the first-visit follow-up phone call remains one of the most powerful retention tools Building a wellness-based practice with long-term patient relationships How to diagnose retention problems with the same precision used in patient care Practical systems for increasing re-exams, re-signs, and wellness conversions Key Takeaway: The absence of pain does not equal the presence of health. The most successful chiropractic clinics understand that patient retention is not about keeping people on a schedule—it's about helping patients understand the value of continued care, guiding them through every phase of treatment, and building systems that support long-term wellness. Stephanie Thaler has lived many lives in one. She survived thyroid cancer at 18, gained 60 pounds during radiation treatment while being isolated in a hospital with zero human contact, and came out the other side with a calling — massage therapy. What followed was 28 years of relentless learning, Guinness World Record-breaking fitness (715 burpees in 60 minutes), becoming the massage therapist for the Minnesota Vikings and the 2022 US Women's Olympic Hockey Team, founding the first barefoot massage school in Minnesota, and becoming the highest-paid manual therapist in her state through a technique called adhesion release methods — a specialized approach to releasing nerve entrapments that only 50 practitioners worldwide are certified in. In this conversation with Freddie, Stephanie breaks down what adhesions actually are, why nerve entrapment goes undetected on MRIs and gets dismissed by conventional medicine, how she's getting results in four to six sessions for people who have been in chronic pain for years, and what the difference is between radial and focused shockwave therapy when treating specific nerve pathways. The second half of this episode goes somewhere deeply personal. Stephanie shares that her father died by suicide on Thanksgiving when she was five years old — and that she spent the next 38 years living in a state of chronic fight or flight, cycling through every SSRI, CBT protocol, and alternative therapy available, never finding lasting relief. Until ketamine. In two weeks of six IV sessions, she healed more trauma than 18 years of cognitive behavioral therapy ever touched. Her father came to her in session. God held her. And she came out glowing. She now does at-home ketamine therapy three to five days a week and credits it with putting her depression into remission and fueling the most successful chapter of her career. This is an honest, science-grounded, spiritually rich conversation about healing the body and the nervous system from the inside out — and what becomes possible when you finally feel safe. Start Here: https://breakingupwithbingeeating.transistor.fm/start-herePick the listening path that fits what you're dealing with right now.Show Notes: In this episode, Georgie gives you a practical “urge map” to answer the question that matters in real life: what kind of urge is this? Because the same pantry moment can come from very different mechanisms—and if you use the wrong tool, it's easy to assume you “did it wrong” when you were simply solving the wrong problem. The core skill is matching the tool to the mechanism. You'll learn five common urge types and what each one actually needs: the Low-Fuel urge (under-fueling—food that counts), the Depletion urge (low capacity—less load and a soft landing), the Pain Relief urge (emotional or physical discomfort—soothing and often connection), the Scarcity/Rebellion urge (restriction and “I can't” energy—a believable yes and permission with structure), and the Autopilot urge (cue chains—pattern interruption, not self-criticism). You'll also get a quick five-question check-in to identify what's driving the urge in the moment, plus concrete examples of “permission with structure” and simple ways to break an evening cue chain.Try this week: Pick your most common urge type and run one experiment for seven days—data, not a test. (Afternoon anchor snack; a 10-minute downshift after dinner; a two-word feeling label + one moment of contact; a planned “yes” with structure; or breaking one link in your autopilot routine.)Coming next: Why urges can feel so persuasive even when the eating isn't that enjoyable—wanting vs liking.

Are you getting short-term relief from bodywork, only for the pain to return a few weeks later? In this clip, I talk through why hands-on treatments can feel amazing in the moment but may not create lasting change if you're relying on someone else to “fix” you, and why movement and self-care matter so much for long-term healing. This clip explores how fascia and global body tension can influence recurring pain, why aggressive fascia release can look (and feel) intense, and how a slower, more intentional approach may support the body's own ability to reset. We also discuss walking as a powerful daily practice, why brisk walking is linked with a lower dementia risk, and the idea of walking backwards as a way to challenge the brain and build new movement pathways. Plus, there's a fascinating look at performance work with elite athletes, including why improving a jump can start with learning how to land, and how slow joint movements (around four centimeters per second) are used to reprogram movement patterns.Jason Van Blerk in conversation with Sarah Ann Listen to the full episode here.Watch the full episode on YouTube here.***This episode is sponsored by:NOWATCH: The compassionate health trackerConnecting body and mind with unique stress recovery insights so you can live fully today15% off with code LWBW15 at https://nowatch.com/DIOME: Rest deeper. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, an Integrative Medicine physician, researcher, and best-selling author specializing in chronic fatigue syndrome, details “adrenal fatigue,” contrasting Endocrine Society guidelines focused on overt adrenal failure with his view that the adrenals can be functionally exhausted and may be missed by standard testing and “normal ranges.” They discuss adrenal roles in stress response, blood sugar regulation, blood pressure, immunity, and symptoms suggesting low adrenal function (irritability when hungry, sugar cravings, fatigue, recurrent infections, lightheadedness/brain fog, mood shifts). Contributors include high sugar intake, chronic stress, dehydration, and salt restriction, with modern media fear/divisiveness cited as a major stressor; hypothalamic dysfunction and circadian rhythm disruption may cause “tired but wired” insomnia. They cover options such as licorice (not DGL), dietary and lifestyle changes, Adrenaplex, adaptogens (ashwagandha standards, HRG80 red ginseng study), phosphatidylserine for high nighttime cortisol, cautious low-dose hydrocortisone thresholds, and DHEA/pregnenolone considerations, plus resources at endfatigue.com.

It's not the initial history , nor is is the fantastic care you provide eon each visit. No, it is the report of findings visit. Why is this the most important visit? Simply because this is where you get to share with the patient , your plan to help them to live a better life. Also, you get to lay out your expectations of them. Whether you realize it or not, this is where you tell them how to get the most out of their chiropractic care. Is it just pain relief? It is if you tell them that is THE goal. Or maybe pain relief is just the 1st step back towards health and a better life - and how many years ( or decades ) they choose to utilize chiropractic care, begins here & then comes down to what you say in this visit and future encounters.

In this week's Grow Guides, we discuss one of the most common reasons people turn to medical cannabis, pain relief. We break down the different types of pain people use cannabis for, including chronic pain, inflammation, nerve pain, and muscle discomfort, and talk about how cannabinoids and terpenes may play a role in managing symptoms. We also cover different consumption methods, from inhalation to edibles and oils, explaining how onset time, duration, and intensity can vary depending on how cannabis is used. We discuss strain selection, cannabinoid balance, dosing considerations, and why finding the right approach is often a personal process of trial and adjustment. As always, we keep the conversation practical and grounded, focusing on harm reduction, realistic expectations, and helping listeners better understand how cannabis may fit into a pain management routine. A thoughtful episode aimed at anyone curious about using cannabis more intentionally for comfort, recovery, and quality of life.

Mikel Anderson's father was a chiropractor, stress analyst, acupuncturist, and formulator who treated high-profile clients across Europe and the United States. As a child, Mikel traveled country to country, watching customized formulas built for each individual — athletes, political figures, business leaders. No two solutions were ever the same. That early exposure shaped his worldview: health isn't generic. It's personal. By his early teens, he was already helping friends in the lab. And he never stopped. Over the next five decades, Mikel would go on to create thousands of formulas and hold the largest portfolio of patents in the world on dosing apparatus systems — designing mechanisms that activate nutrients at the moment of use rather than destroying them during mass production His work didn't just serve consumer brands. When asked to help address malaria and diarrheal disease in remote African villages — where refrigeration and stable supply chains didn't exist — he engineered a "Pharma Blast" delivery system that kept lifesaving medications stable until injection, eliminating the need for cold storage. It was a logistical solution to a humanitarian problem. NanoXtreme was born from something even closer to home. When his teenage son qualified for a professional tennis tournament and suffered an injury days before competition, Mikel did what he had watched his father do his entire life: he built a formula for the person in front of him. That moment — not a market study — became the foundation of his current work in nano-delivery pain relief. In this episode, Mikel shares how growing up in his father's lab, watching custom formulations for elite clients, inspired his belief that health must be personal, not generic, and led to a lifetime developing thousands of targeted delivery systems — from "Pharma Blast" injections that kept medicines stable in remote African villages without refrigeration to NanoXtreme, a nano-delivery pain cream originally created overnight to help his injured son compete in a professional tennis event, alongside a broader conversation on supplements, gut health, nanotechnology, and the evolving legacy he is now passing to his own son. What if a glowing pyramid sitting in your living room could restructure your biology, compress decades of meditation into minutes, and shift your brain into an altered state without drugs, breathwork, or effort? This episode reveals the science and experience behind one of the most unusual biohacking technologies Host Dave Asprey has ever encountered. -Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR -Get $250 off from The Light System by using code ‘daveasprey' at: https://www.thelightsystems.com/ Jason Shurka is an author, philanthropist, and founder of Unified Healing, a global network spanning 55 countries and hundreds of wellness centers worldwide. He has written five books on health, consciousness, and human performance, and serves as the driving force behind The Light System, a technology now joined with the Gaia Network. Shurka has spent years documenting firsthand results from people around the world, making him one of the most credible independent voices on emerging light-based healing technologies. Dave Asprey and Jason Shurka break down exactly how The Light System uses full spectrum biophotonic light and encoded affirmations to create a coherent energy field that the body synchronizes with at a cellular level. They explore how this technology targets the molecular structure of water in your body, increases cellular electrical conductivity by up to 80 percent in under an hour, and creates the conditions your mitochondria need to produce more energy, accelerate recovery, and trigger deep self healing. You will learn why your body is already a light based organism, how biophotons drive biological communication at the cellular level, and why the geometry of a pyramid amplifies these effects in ways that flat screen technology cannot replicate. They also dig into the nature of consciousness, the ego as a biological operating system, and why the most powerful biohacking interventions are often the ones that work below the threshold of conscious awareness. You will Learn: Why cellular electrical conductivity increases by 80 percent after one hour of exposure to The Light System How encoded light affirmations restructure the molecular formation of water in your body without conscious effort What biophotons are and why your mitochondria, gut bacteria, and DNA are already producing and receiving them How full spectrum visible light maps directly onto the body's energy centers and organ systems Why the metamatrix font used in The Light System produces stronger biological effects than standard text How this technology was invented by a programmer combining transcendental meditation with software development What happens to your brain state when you stare at encoded light and why it resembles deep meditation without the effort How geometry, specifically the pyramid shape, amplifies photonic output and room coverage Why altered states accessed through light may be one of the most underexplored frontiers in brain optimization and neuroplasticity How to use The Light System for sleep optimization, pain relief, and cellular recovery Thank you to our sponsors! Neuraxial analgesia (epidural or spinal) combined withtocolytic therapy is the pain control method that best increases the success rate of external cephalic version (ECV), according to the ACOG's PB 221. However, some patients may be reluctant to use regional anesthesia and may askabout IV analgesia. A new study in the AJOG (released as an ePub on March 5, 2026) provides some insights that may be helpful for patient consultation. These investigators compared the success of external cephalic version, modes of delivery, maternal pain, and complications using three strategies: intravenous analgesia with remifentanil, epidural anesthesia, and a stepwise approach in which epidural anesthesia was administered only if intravenous analgesia was unsuccessful.
