Welcome to Mindset, Metabolism, and Movement - where we help you achieve a realistic (and human!) approach to health and fitness by working WITH your body, not against it. I'm your host, Jenna Altman, and my mission is to help YOU, the active woman, find a healthy lifestyle that you can consistently show up for and make decisions that align with you and your body. This is the podcast for you if you’ve felt overwhelmed by the contradicting advice you’ve received in the health and fitness space. You’ve struggled with confidence and all-or-nothing thinking. You’ve probably been living off of 1200-1600 calories or less because you thought that’s what you needed to lose weight. You’re looking to incorporate movement that you actually enjoy (instead of feeling obligated to do *more* cardio). I’ve been exactly where you're at. I struggled with confidence and body image (and sometimes still do!). I tried all the quick fixes - BeachBody, Herbalife, cutting carbs, etc. I listened to diet culture and societal expectations to push myself to be as skinny as possible. I felt guilty for missing workouts or eating "bad foods." So I spent the last 10 years crafting a healthy lifestyle that works FOR ME. I've let go of diet culture and determined my own definition of beautiful. I've learned how to work with my body, not against it. And I'm here to give you the tools and strategies to help you do the same. Together, we’ll explore topics related to mindset, metabolism, and movement to help you realize that health & fitness is so much more than weight loss. Let's dive in!
The Mindset, Metabolism, and Movement podcast is truly a gem in the world of motivational podcasts. It is a rare find to come across a podcast that not only provides the motivation you seek on your journey, but also speaks to you every step of the way. This podcast consistently delivers "aha" moments after each listen, further propelling listeners towards their end goals. The content provided is relatable, realistic, and filled with truths that resonate deeply. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.
One of the best aspects of The Mindset, Metabolism, and Movement podcast is the way it feels like having your best friend and an educated coach in your pocket. Host Jenna provides genuine knowledge, unwavering support, and even a slight kick in the pants when needed. She leads with her whole heart and it truly shines through in each episode. Her approach is refreshing and it's evident that she genuinely cares about her listeners' journeys.
Another standout aspect of this podcast is the concise nuggets of wisdom that Jenna delivers. Whether it's advice on food/nutrition or exercise, she provides practical tips that can easily be implemented into one's daily life. Her expertise in these areas is evident and listeners can trust in her guidance.
If I had to mention any potential downside to this podcast, it would be that sometimes certain topics may not resonate with every listener. However, considering the wide range of topics covered in each episode, there will always be valuable insights for everyone to take away from.
In conclusion, The Mindset, Metabolism, and Movement podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone seeking motivation and guidance on their journey towards self-improvement. Jenna's approach to balancing all aspects of life resonates deeply and inspires listeners to take a holistic approach to their health. This podcast has already made a positive impact on my own life by inspiring me to restart my workout routine with newfound enthusiasm. I eagerly look forward to future episodes and the wisdom they will undoubtedly provide.
