In this special live episode of The Fierce Factor, recorded at the ALT Experience, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, and intentional living advocate Sahil Bloom for a conversation that completely redefines what it means to be successful. Sahil's story is both humbling and inspiring. From managing a $3.5 billion private equity fund to walking away from it all to pursue a more intentional life, he shares the pivotal moment that forced him to reevaluate everything—when he realized just how limited his time with the people he loves really was. That gut-check changed the course of his life, and in this episode, he walks us through what it looks like to build a life that's truly aligned with your values. We talked about so many powerful concepts from his book—why work-life balance is a myth, how to use the “dimmer switch” approach to design a more fulfilling life, and what it really means to be “rich.” We discussed the emotional cost of growth, the loneliness that often comes with transformation, and the courage it takes to let go of the people and identities that no longer serve you. If you're building a business, chasing big goals, and also yearning for a life of deeper connection and meaning, this episode will speak directly to you. It's not just about finding more time—it's about taking radical ownership of the time, energy, and freedom you already have. In this week's episode of The Fierce Factor, I'm unpacking one of the most important conversations I've had in a long time—how to lead, build, and sustain a thriving aesthetic or wellness business in the midst of a rapidly shifting economy. Fresh off our annual ALT Experience, I've been reflecting on what it really means to be a female founder today. When I asked a room of powerhouse women how many of them had a grandmother who built a million-dollar business, not a single hand went up. That moment reminded me: we're not just building businesses—we're building a legacy. In this episode, I'm sharing the truth about what I'm seeing across the industry right now—hesitation, fear, slower consumer decision-making, and increased competition. But I'm also sharing what I believe are the three most important strategies every founder needs to implement right now: Leaning into strategic advisory and support—because navigating uncertainty is not a solo sport Getting honest about who your A-players are and doubling down on profitable team structure Elevating your messaging to magnetize and retain high-value, recession-resistant clients If you're feeling the pressure of growth in today's climate, this episode is for you. I'll walk you through exactly how I'm thinking about the economy, how I'm advising our clients to prepare for what's ahead, and what it takes to stay in the game and come out stronger. Welcome to February, leader—my favorite month of the year! As I celebrate nine years in business and prepare to launch the most soul-aligned movement I've ever created, I'm reflecting on the lessons that have shaped my journey. One of the biggest? Sustainable growth doesn't happen by accident—it happens by design. That's why, this week, I'm bringing back one of our most downloaded episodes from 2022—because the principles still hold true today. Compensation is more than just a paycheck; it's a tool to build trust, retain top talent, and create alignment between your team's goals and your business's future. But too often, business owners approach it with short-term thinking, leading to margin loss, disengagement, and ultimately, turnover. In this episode, we're unpacking: Why most comp plans fail before they're even presented. The risks of overpaying upfront and losing profitability over time. A strategic approach to compensation that attracts top talent, incentivizes performance, and aligns with long-term business success. You'll hear insights from my conversation with our KLC financial partner on why every plan should be custom to your business and how to approach compensation as a tool—not a magic bullet—for building trust, loyalty, and value. Compensation isn't just about numbers—it's about strategy, sustainability, and setting your business up for long-term success. Whether you're hiring your first employee or restructuring an existing team, this episode will challenge you to think differently about how you reward and retain top talent. Today, I'm diving into a topic close to my heart—money. It's a complex but powerful tool, especially in the hands of ambitious female entrepreneurs. At KLC, our mission is clear: we're here to help 1,000 inspiring women cross their next million-dollar milestone each year. I want you to understand why that milestone matters for your mission and how money, when used with intention, can be the fuel that propels you toward a life-first business—one that enriches your wealth, health, impact, and freedom. Money is essential, yes—but it's also deeply personal. I get it; many women feel ashamed or uncertain when it comes to managing money, largely because society has kept us in the dark about financial literacy. But money isn't something we should hide from. It's a tool to fuel dreams, create opportunities, and make an impact. And it's worth breaking through any limiting beliefs or negative associations you may have around it. In this episode, I share my own journey from corporate America to entrepreneurship and the lessons I've learned about valuing myself and my work. I've come to believe that a healthy money mindset isn't just about dollars—it's about knowing your worth, and recognizing that money flows from the value you bring to the world. I want to encourage you to get honest about your beliefs around money, because the way you think about it will shape the results you create. I hope today's episode inspires you to reflect on your own relationship with money. Let's work together to build a confident money mindset, one step at a time. And remember, if you need support, I'm here for you. Let's continue to elevate, together. Enjoy! With the 2024 presidential election right around the corner, there's a lot of emotion and uncertainty in the air. But I'm here to tell you that preparing for the future isn't about knowing what's coming — it's about how we show up today. In this solo episode I'm sharing my personal perspective on navigating this chaotic landscape and how I'm guiding clients at KLC to stay centered in times of flux. We'll cover three core areas: understanding the energy of what's happening around us, my predictions for consumerism in our AI-driven world, and tools you can use to navigate both personally and professionally through these turbulent times. If you've been feeling that everything around you is buzzing with nervous energy, you're not alone. There's a lot of noise, and sometimes it feels like the only sane choice is to slow down and focus on what really matters. I'm reminded daily that in a high-paced, AI-powered world, the true differentiator is connection. In fact, I'm betting that while AI speeds up transactions, real success will come to those who slow down and build genuine relationships. Staying committed to your craft and being grounded can help you navigate through the stress and maintain resilience in business. Because while we can't control what tomorrow brings, we can choose how we show up today.
