Lately, I've been in deep conversation with women who are feeling the pressure of doing it all—running a business, staying healthy, being present with family and friends, and holding onto the lifestyle they envisioned when they first started. In this inspiring guest expert episode of The Fierce Factor, I sat down with Pop Leadership Academy member and founder of Bare Skin Marin, Hilary Baer Hogan, for a raw and powerful conversation about building a purpose-driven business in aesthetics. Hilary shares how she transformed personal tragedy into professional triumph, using the loss of her mother as the catalyst to launch her now award-winning practice. Together, we explore what it really takes to scale a values-aligned brand, including the discipline of high standards, the art of delegation, and how to step out of the founder bottleneck. From being evicted mid-workday to reinventing systems that prioritize excellence and long-term results, Hilary opens up about navigating adversity, establishing her proprietary “Skin to Structure” method, and setting a new standard for patient experience. She also discusses the importance of hiring for emotional intelligence and creating internal systems that uphold a gold standard of care without sacrificing work-life harmony. In this special live episode of The Fierce Factor, recorded at the ALT Experience, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, and intentional living advocate Sahil Bloom for a conversation that completely redefines what it means to be successful. Sahil's story is both humbling and inspiring. From managing a $3.5 billion private equity fund to walking away from it all to pursue a more intentional life, he shares the pivotal moment that forced him to reevaluate everything—when he realized just how limited his time with the people he loves really was. That gut-check changed the course of his life, and in this episode, he walks us through what it looks like to build a life that's truly aligned with your values. We talked about so many powerful concepts from his book—why work-life balance is a myth, how to use the “dimmer switch” approach to design a more fulfilling life, and what it really means to be “rich.” We discussed the emotional cost of growth, the loneliness that often comes with transformation, and the courage it takes to let go of the people and identities that no longer serve you. If you're building a business, chasing big goals, and also yearning for a life of deeper connection and meaning, this episode will speak directly to you. It's not just about finding more time—it's about taking radical ownership of the time, energy, and freedom you already have. In this week's episode of The Fierce Factor, I'm unpacking one of the most important conversations I've had in a long time—how to lead, build, and sustain a thriving aesthetic or wellness business in the midst of a rapidly shifting economy. Fresh off our annual ALT Experience, I've been reflecting on what it really means to be a female founder today. When I asked a room of powerhouse women how many of them had a grandmother who built a million-dollar business, not a single hand went up. That moment reminded me: we're not just building businesses—we're building a legacy. In this episode, I'm sharing the truth about what I'm seeing across the industry right now—hesitation, fear, slower consumer decision-making, and increased competition. But I'm also sharing what I believe are the three most important strategies every founder needs to implement right now: Leaning into strategic advisory and support—because navigating uncertainty is not a solo sport Getting honest about who your A-players are and doubling down on profitable team structure Elevating your messaging to magnetize and retain high-value, recession-resistant clients If you're feeling the pressure of growth in today's climate, this episode is for you. I'll walk you through exactly how I'm thinking about the economy, how I'm advising our clients to prepare for what's ahead, and what it takes to stay in the game and come out stronger. In this heartfelt bonus replay episode of The Fierce Factor, I'm reflecting on a powerful conversation I had with one of our Academy members—one that reignited my passion for exploring the deeper meaning of leadership. While so much of the conversation around team building tends to focus on strategies, checklists, and metrics, this episode takes a different path—one rooted in introspection, purpose, and lived experience. I revisit a formative moment from early in my medical sales career, when a hard-earned deal turned into a powerful lesson about reputation, integrity, and the long game of building meaningful business relationships. That story became a turning point for me and now serves as a reminder that true leadership isn't transactional. It's about trust, culture, and being willing to invest in people even when it feels risky. Whether you're hiring a new team member, worried about turnover, or trying to build a business with soul, I hope this episode inspires you to think differently about what it really means to lead with character. In this episode we're joined by Kaeli Lindholm, the CEO of KLC Consulting and Founder of the POP Aesthetic Leadership Academy. Whether you need help with growing your business, building your team, or personal branding, Kaeli's coaching style is incredibly inspiring. We change and shift so much over time in our lives, and our businesses are no different. That's why it's so important to stop and take inventory every few years and ask if what you set out to do is still resonating with you. If you feel friction in your business, it's time to reflect on if the direction you're going in is really right for you. What does it actually take to build and scale a company past $10 million and beyond? Once you have to start showing up as a leader, there is so much work you have to put into your own growth. You also have to learn to make sacrifices—and learn to trust the people you've brought on board to grow with you. As a business owner, the difficult things you go through are actually stepping stones to becoming the person and leader you need to be. You have to believe in your worth and stand up for your values, even when doing the dirty work required in leadership. The best things you can do for your business take time. Hiring for values, for instance, can take longer than hiring the skills you're looking for. But, in the long term, it's a worthwhile investment. The ecosystem you build inside your business is just as important as the services you provide to your clients. www.beautyculturespa.com @beautyculture.medspa

This week let's talk about your relationship with competition. In an industry where the barrier to entry continues to decline, the frustrations around differentiation are rising, and the copycats are multiplying, staying relevant can't be a passive endeavor. It takes an intentional commitment to innovation, to thinking unconventionally, and to build an ecosystem that inspires them to take bold, empowered action; today we are going to talk about the cornerstone to keeping your competitive edge. Here's what I believe to be true: Competition is healthy: Truly staying ahead of your competition in business: FIRST and foremost has everything to do with your mindset. If you aren't embracing competition as an opportunity, the tactics won't matter. In fact, staying competitive isn't really about competition at all. It's about keeping our head down and focusing on our own connection with our most valuable clients, differentiating ourselves, (not following the crowd) and continuously innovating as thought leaders. Join me for this episode of The Fierce Factor podcast as I share with you ten strategies that our clients are implementing to propel their competitive advantage. Enjoy! Hello leader, welcome back to episode 190 of the Fierce Factor podcast. It's your host Kaeli here bringing you an incredible gift of two inspiring and intentional business leaders in this podcast. Today I am interviewing Katie Speaks and Delaney Poor, Co-founder and Intraprenuer of Beyond Skin Aesthetics based out of Gahanna, Ohio. So a little back story I'll share, I happened to be sitting at the same table as them at a conference this year and the whole table was having conversations about disgruntled employees who were becoming entitled and competitive over the commissions they were earning as providers for sales goals. And it was this totally unanimous tone that these employees were difficult to work with because they were so focused on earning potential. And I was thinking to myself “the irony”. Hire people, show them that the path to success is to be hungry to “sell” and then feel resentful that they are doing their job and expecting what was promised to them. And from across the table these ladies spoke up and addressed the huge elephant in the room confidently saying that “the problem is less about the employee and more about the culture that the business owner had designed by incentivizing through commissions”. I was so intrigued by this confident statement that I began to ask them about their business, what success looks like for them, what motivates employees without commissionable earning potential, and how do they build culture in their practice AND hit their sales goals. Well, that conversation was so enlightening that I asked them to come and share with all of you here on the Fierce Factor. In this episode you will hear some game changing pearls that synthesize the entire philosophy of a life-first business, not just for its owners but for its employees. You will hear what an inside-out growth framework looks like, how the hiring and onboarding process is crucial to the long term success of an employee, and my personal favorite part of this interview- the raw perspective of the daughter of a serial business owner who lived the life as the daughter of a very busy working mom. I just loved this interview with Katie and Delaney and can't wait for you to take this masterclass on building a thriving culture. Enjoy! Are you ready to be truly "competition-less" and build a sustainable brand that leads to increased revenue, less burnout, and carving out your niche in the Aesthetic Industry? If this answer is YES, this episode is going to give you the keys to unlocking the secrets of scale! It's the first step in a 4-part series focused on bringing the value of the Proprietary Aesthetic Method to your practice! We've teamed up with KLC Consulting Founder & CEO, Kaeli Lindholm, to deliver her proven methodology and winning formula to you starting with this podcast! From here, Kaeli will guide you on your journey to create your brand identity and lay the foundational structure to propel long-term growth. There will be 3 stops along the way: Positioning Your Business in "The Gap", Developing Your Proprietary Method, and Incorporating PAM in Your Day-to-Day Operations. In addition to the guided series, you have access to a resource guide that lays it all out for you and provides a blueprint for getting the most out of your PAM. Kaeli's worked with hundreds of business owners just like you, and her clients have proven this resource guide is truly a multi-million dollar business asset! In this episode, we talk about the current climate in the industry- competition is fierce, the influx of patients is turbocharged, and injectors and business owners are desperately needing to add headcount or add locations to manage it all. But, it's not easy to do when you haven't formulated your brand identity, you can't market proprietary treatment methods or onboard new staff to deliver them, your processes and operational flow isn't set up to work across multiple people or locations, and training patients to be okay with seeing someone other than you is a Herculean task! Time is a finite resource, and in addition to the potential to add millions in incremental revenue, spending time creating your PAM can give you time back to live that life you are working so hard to create. It's a small investment of time and money that can have a major impact for years to come. With this collaboration, we've been given the go-ahead to launch this course for only $297. It may truly be one of the best investments you ever make. As you wrap up your PAM process, Kaeli offers the next level of growth with Confidence to Scale which is a 6 week business certification program that takes the work you've done with PAM and helps to transform your entire practice. If you haven't met Kaeli, you are in for a treat! Widely recognized as a brand revisionist, Kaeli believes achieving ‘category of one' success requires taking a differentiated approach. Her coaching and academy programs bring unique perspectives that challenge the very construct of business success. Paired with significant revenue growth, clients describe the benefit of working with Kaeli as “game-changing”, “both guide and exceptional partner”, and “provides value well beyond monetary measurement!” When you partner with Kaeli you will make an empowered transformation in your business and life. The aesthetics sector is outpacing other sectors in growth, and women are driving this growth. Yet, women remain underrepresented in business. Today we welcome Kaeli Lindholm, CEO and founder of KLC consulting. Kaeli has a background in working with manufacturers of aesthetics, and she is passionate in helping women like herself who could have used the type of support she now offers when she first started out. There is a new paradigm in the aesthetics industry, and success does not mean just high revenue anymore. Women entrepreneurs are driven by impact, building fruitful and supportive relationships, and job satisfaction. The way that women choose to operate their businesses in today's society is different from the past. Their excitement resonates in the service they provide, not simply the revenue they bring in. This is where the concept of “disruptive philosophy” comes into play. It is the ability to think critically and creatively when problem solving, and to come up with new solutions to old problems. Growth is just doing more for the business, which has limits. Scaling is increasing revenue without spending more time and energy. Being able to scale your business will give you a measure of success that constantly giving all your time and energy to the day-to-day never can. Evolving your business requires evolving yourself. Having system management tools is important in order to scale, but what is even more vital is becoming the person who can take their business to the next level. The curiosity and desire to learn how to be a great leader is a great indicator that you are ready to take the plunge to set your business up to scale.
