    EP 82: Why my clients & I refuse to rank emotions as ‘high' or ‘low' vibrational

    EP 81: Perfectionism nearly kept me single

    I nearly canceled the first date with my (now) partner. In the end, the only reason I followed through and went on the date was because of a promise I'd made myself. Months earlier I'd realised that I was subconsciously ‘rolling my eyes' at parts of the dating process.. (the parts that felt annoying, disappointing or a waste of my time)   And that so long as I kept up this mindset and attitude, I would actually have one foot in and one foot out when it came to dating.. unrealistically hoping for a “perfect”, “seamless”, and “get it done right first go” experience.     The promise I made to myself was that I would show up to the ENTIRE dating process more fully than ever before.     EP 80: What I learnt from the worst flu of my life

    I was recently reminded, while experiencing the worst flu of my life, of the very first lesson I had to learn before I could heal chronic fatigue, anxiety and depression (a whole lot more physical symptoms too but those were the headliners) and it's this… In the most challenging moments of our life (both emotionally and physically) there comes a fork in the road, and the path we choose to go down will determine whether we heal subconscious triggers that overstimulate our nervous system OR stay stuck in the same subconscious patterns that feel safe and familiar. At this fork in the road we can choose to give ourselves what we NEED (listen to our body and intuition to then make choices that support our real self) or we can cave into a moment of immediate gratification by choosing an impulse behavior (which is when we maintain a coping mechanism that feels like self sabotage) Sounds simple, but it's not, because the coping mechanism is an automated subconscious pattern that has likely been there since childhood and may even take multiple forms.  It also serves the purpose of distracting away from discomfort.  An enormous part of being able to change this is increasing your emotional intelligence, and that's what we I walk you through in this episode:   Where I've been for the last 4 weeks   The difference between your intuition and moments of immediate gratification   The fastest route to achieving the “big picture” in life we want most   How to stop self sabotaging and make the choice that has you progress forwards   3 journaling questions for increasing your emotional intelligence   Learn more about Reveal & Rise and how you can apply here   Connect with Gemma here daily on instagram, and for more resources head to gemmahanley.com
