Let's face it. There is a lot of noise out there. Everywhere you turn there is another program trying to teach you a new strategy to beat the algorithm and have your next 6-figure launch. But what if I told you the key to your success can't be found in the next strategy or system but in you laying a solid foundation into your business infrastructure?  Now more than ever your business foundation matters. When the chaos is high and we’re faced with new situations, having a solid foundation will set us above the competition. Inside my programs, we focus on six guiding principles that are the fundamentals of our business. We've found that when these are in place, the process of uncovering your own unique voice (which is the key to standing out in the crowd!) becomes second nature. We also believe that we are here to do a lifetime’s work, not a season, so laying a strong foundation is the key to having everything we want.  On top of that, focusing on these principles gives us clarity on who we are and how we serve the world in only the way WE can. And when we have that clarity, the confidence comes easy and this business becomes fun!  And isn't that the point? We think so!  Do you want to learn more in a no-stress, no-pressure coaching session? I’ve decided to open up my calendar for the next few weeks for FREE 30 MINUTE coaching sessions. In early 2014, after nearly a decade in the corporate world, Women& Inc founder Lindsay Roselle sought out a group of successful, supportive women to connect with as mentors to help her generate ideas and brainstorm solutions to challenges related to her small business. Realizing that few opportunities for that type of connection already existed outside of a personal network, Lindsay had the initial idea for what would later become Women& Inc.  By Spring 2015, Lindsay had shared the idea with several other entrepreneurial women in Fort Collins who all expressed similar desires for connection, so the first event - Women& Whiskey - was planned for late March. Expecting 15-20 women to come, almost 90 showed up, and the organization was officially born. Since then, Women& Inc has hosted connection events every other month focused on bringing women together to learn more about each other, share advice and ideas, and get educated about craft spirits at Social. In this episode of Work Hard Mom Hard, Lindsay and Kari share their top advice for new moms, a shocking statistic for women-owned businesses (that we can change), why women need to be in a room together, why you shouldn’t play it safe in your businesses, and much more. I used to be the girl who would have one too many tequilas at a party and tell all my friends to quit their jobs and follow their dreams. I would map the whole trajectory of their business and tell them how amazing they would be. Naturally, they would just laugh at me and then tell me I was crazy. But I loved my naivety and willingness to dream. Now after having been an “entrepreneur” for four years and have practiced what I preach, I’m singing a different tune. That doesn’t mean I think you shouldn’t quit your day job, but I do believe there are some fundamental things you should focus on before you do. And in this episode, I dive into them!   Highlights for this mindset: 1:25 - The truth of the Instagram quote cards 3:49 - How I got lucky when I started as a coach 5:21 - You should not burn the ships and quit your job. 7:34 - What I would have done if I could do it again. 8:05 - Two things to do now to prepare to take your side hustle full-time 10:56 - Why it's better to build your dreams on anticipation 14:04 - Okay, but how will I know when it's time to really quit?   About me: I’m Kari Keating, mom of 3 young boys, that ditched a 17-year, 6 figure corporate career to go after her dreams. Mandy Sciacchitano is a certified life coach and speaker who specializes in helping over-giving, service-driven women avoid burnout and love themselves and others better through boundaries, worthiness and personal power work. After years of struggling with social anxiety and perfectionism due to deeply rooted insecurities, she is passionate about seeing other women step out of fear and shame and discover and embody their power to use their gifts to serve others in a way that is deeply self-honoring and self-nourishing.   Adopting the mantra “get out of your head and into your body,” Mandy believes that our perfectionism, lack of confidence, and obsession with achievement as a society is because we are disconnected from our souls and intuitions.
